Give them a little time, when I had my case expedited at the NVC, it took about three weeks for an answer. Not sure how long the USCIS take. I hope they speed it up for you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Whens Interview	Ok I need some help, to make a long story short my case was denied, reaffirmed and was received back at the embassy about a month ago. How long will it take them to scedule another interview? I am confused and they will not email me back when I email them to ask them. Also how long will my husbands medicals be good for? When I initially applied for my husbands visa I applied for a CR1 visa but now we have been married well over two years. So when he goes to the interview, which I assume he is getting approved this time after being denied the first time, (wishful thinking) will they automatically know that he should get an IR1 visa ? or is this something we have to specify to the embassy? If there is a wait at the consulate there is nothing you can do for example Ghana is a year backlogged for Cr1 interviews. People are still waiting from last year at this time for there interview after the NVC processed their paperwork, possibly your consulate is back logged too. You can try to expedite it, if you have a valid reason, nothing is gauranteed that they will approve it though. Good luck and just be patient. Marc Ellis specializes in denials and I would recomend him as we appealed our CR1 denial and our case was reaffirmed. www.marcellislaw.com 713-893-7091 or 714-656-4156 You won't have much luck keeping your case at the embassy as it is probably on its way back. You need to be prepared for a long road. The only thing my senator was able to do was to get the USCIS to send our Notice of Intent to Revoke faster than it would of been done. I have been thrown out of there twice for throwing fits, my husband was denied hi cr1 visa. Especially the second in charge head consulate guy. They work so slow and have no care in the world. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	US Customs and my return for 3rd time this year	I seem to go through a lot with customs everytime I fly back and forth to Ghana, mind you I am the US citizen visiting my husband in Ghana. But the worst experience I has was in Holland at Schiepol airport around December 2009 after the Nigerian boy tried to blow up the plane. They questioned everyone for like ten to fifteen minutes before they boarded the flight back to the US. When I told them I was coming from Ghana, that I was visiting my husband, they said oh mam is your husband a terriost? I said you think because my husband is african he is a terriost? They guy said well with what just happened we have to be sure. I know they tried to blow up a plane to the US but come on. Like if he was one I would tell them. They had already started to stereotype africans just days after the nigerian boys incident. I normally get asked a lot of questions when I arrive back home too, More at Dullus in VA than JFK. It seems they are a little better with the who what where questions in NY than here in DC. They want your whole life story in DC. I wish you the best on coming back from your trip. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	k1 visa help for someone who has an old criminal record	I wouldn't say you need a lawyer, depending on what kind of charges they were you most likey do not need a lawyer. I had three DWIS I sent evidence about the trail , certified copies of court documents and papers showing I went to rehab. I would send certified court records upfront showing the evidence of the disposition of the case upfront so you don't get and RFE. I don't think petty theft charges will cause a denial. When we got packet three they sent us instructions for the medical.
