So 2 years? Wow. I wasn't aware we would have to wait so long. That kinda sucks.
Thanks.

PhilippinesQuestion about returning to the PI after marriage...
Hey all, If i marry my fiancee here in USA, how soon can we return to the PI to visit her family? Is there a certain amount of time that she must remain here in the USA until she can return home to visit, and if so how long?
Thanks!

Philippinesits hard in the philippines
I think that most, if not all, of the 3rd world countries can blame their "hard living" on the men of that country. A country's men are responsible for the way of life in each country.....imo.

PhilippinesCo-Sponsor approval Survey
I'm confused. I thought that the PI did not allow the use of a co-sponsor. I have heard this from reliable sources...did they recently change and now allow them?

PhilippinesSome questions...
^I don't think she needs to get all "badass" on them, but i do think the whole contract thing carrying a fine is pretty ridiculous. I guess she will just work as long as possible and then explain the situation, resign, and forget about it....but hopefully they don't want to pursue the matter, because that will just stress her out more.

PhilippinesSome questions...
I was wondering, after we receive the NOA 2, is there a certain amount of time they give you from the NOA 2 to the scheduling of the interview? I mean does the NOA 2 expire if you wait too long to schedule the medical and other interview?
The reason i ask is that my finacee wants to get a job soon in Cebu while she waits for the NOA 2. She says that at the call centers where she applied they make the employees sign a 5 month contract. She says that if she breeches the employment contract that they will charge her 45,000P.
So we are trying to figure out if there would be enough time to fulfill her employment contract AFTER we receive the NOA 2.
I am also curious as to how serious these employment contracts actually are. Would a call center really try and sue a poor filipina for 45,000P? And could a breech of such a contract hinder the whole K1 visa process in some way?
Any info is appreciated......thanks.

PhilippinesTouched?
Thanks guys. It seems that ours has not been touched at all...guess we just need to be patient.

PhilippinesTouched?
I'm a little confused as to the meaning of "touched". I received the NOA1 March 3, 2009, and i regularly check our case status online at the USCIS website. Our case, since the USCIS received it in March, has said "case received and pending". I don't see where we would be able to see if anyone touched our case. On a lot of the timelines here on VJ, i see that some people's cases are "touched" just days after they receive the NOA1. Where do they see that this has happened? Is it weird that we got the NOA1 March 3, and it hasn't changed at all, but still says "case received and pending"?
Thanks.

Also Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire, Brandon Vera...to name a few awesome fighters from the PI. I'm down with the PI....cool people and place.

I figured out why i can't save anything in google talk. Apparently, if you are using google talk "beta", then it does not allow the option to save call logs. I will have to delete the beta program and reinstall just regular google talk in order to save any call logs.
Just thought I'd let any of yall know about that.

As nice as that sounds, I'm not sure there's any evidence to back up the fact that Philippina women make "better" wives than women of any other nationality. I don't think we're being honest with ourselves here.

Other than the fact that the vast majority of the men here have already been married to western women and women of other nationalities, and never found happiness until they met their Filipina?

PhilippinesWow, the Philippines!
My Filipina rocks! Here's an example; I let her hear and read the lyrics to that old song, "My Filipino Baby". Afterwards i started referring to her as "my treasure and my pet". She just giggles and tells me that she IS my pet, but that i am her treasure!
If i tried calling a western girl my pet, her attitude would suffocate me!
My girl puts me ahead of herself, and in doing so i put her ahead of me....she's my queen, i'm her king. She knows this and glories in it. From what i've experienced, Filipinas indeed make the best wives in the world!

I heart.gif U SWEETY!!!

Hi everyone,
As me and my fiancee await the NOA2, what documents/things can she be gathering up for the medical exam? What exactly will St. Lukes need from her? She is under the impression that when we get the NOA2, then she will start worrying about gathering those things for the exam. Is there anything she will need that might take a while to get? Should she start gathering that stuff up already?
Thanks.
BTW, i'm thinkin the NOA2 will be here in a month or 2.

PhilippinesNeed some ideas...
Hey everyone, this topic is kind of dumb, but anyway.... my fiancee and i are still awaiting the NOA2. While we await it, my finacee is rotting away from boredom. She doesn't want to get a job, because she's afraid she will have to quit it soon when the NOA2 comes, and she hates the thought of a job schedule getting in the way of our daily talks online.
She is on Cebu, and reads, work's out, cleans the house, etc. to try and stay busy, but she is beginning to get very bored with the same old day-in and day-out routine there.
So what do/did all the rest of you Filipinas, (that don't have jobs), do during the day, as you await your NOA2? Give us some ideas please! blink.gif
Thanks!

Sounds like she's got some deep-rooted issues bro. Not a nationality/cultural thing, but a mental one. Good luck.

BTW, if she goes off on you again, just beat her down with a pillow. My cousin does that to his crazy woman to keep her in line. He knocks her around the room until she calms down, and it doesnt leave bruises!

hello guys, this questions are for all the american men who married to a filipina

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE A FILIPINA WHEN YOU HAVE ALL THE CHANCE TO MARRY AN AMERICAN LADY AND YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY OF ALL THOSE BIG EXPENSES AND NOT TO WAIT FOR SO LONG TO BE TOGETHER AND THEN EXPERIENCE THE ADJUSTING PERIOD BECAUSE YOU HAVE DIFFERENT CULTURE AND BELIEFS? I ASK THE SAME QUESTIONS TO MY HUSBAND AND THIS WHAT HE SAID " I'VE LEARNED MY LESSONS AFTER THE 2 DIVORCES I HAD" sad.gif THATS SO SAD BUT IS IT TRUE?.
CAN YOU PLEASE DESCRIBE US FILIPINAS TROUGH YOUR POINT OF VIEW

I didn't choose a Filipina, I chose my wife and that was because I loved her. I didn't go looking for a relationship, let alone one from the Philippines. But true love comes when you least expect it.

This image sums up how I feel...

^all those apparent "superficial" things listed in the above pic are interegal parts of why you love her. I find it hard to believe that you would post the same pic, with the same message, but with an image of a 300 lb, red-headed woman with 3 dbl. chins, and coke-bottle glasses.
Get real man...you love her because FIRST you saw a sweet, sexy lil island girl that made you weak in the knees.

All I hear is whining Rockhouse...talking about how horrible and empty American women are. Sheesh...I'd love to hear the other side of the story from the ex's as I'm sure you weren't such an angel yourself. Whatever happened to personal responsibility...or is that only convenient when it comes to not placing any blame on yourself?

A note to why this is a topic for those who aren't Filipino...it's a public forum. I'm sure if there was a conversation in another regional thread about how awful Filipina women are you would go in and defend yourselves all the same.

Lol, yeah, i guess i need to take a look at myself and be honest, like how i have custody of both my kids now because my ex went to jail for beating up her new husband forcing my kids and him to lock themselves in their bedroom as she beat holes through the door while she screamed that she was gonna stab him in the heart. You dont know ###### about me. The TS asked why we prefer Filipinas. I prefer them because AS A WHOLE, ALL the American women i have dated, as well as those friends have dated/married don't hold a candle to the Filipinas. Sorry if it pisses you off, it's not whining, it's observations and experiences that i am typing on a forum....deal with it.
BTW, if your not an American woman then why get so bent outta shape?

I have not met ONE American woman who i felt was worth marrying, and i have met lot's. Untrustworthy, spoiled, uncaring, irreverent, selfish, etc.
The feminist movement ruined the American woman IMO. They don't glory in their womanhood, in what it means to be a REAL woman like the average Filipina does.
They are too busy trying to rule over their husbands.
BUT, the men here are not the same either. For instance, the kind of young men who built hoover dam, fought WWII, led by example, are all but gone.
They have been replaced by scared, lazy, video game playing punks. Even the men who actually work are so full of fear its pathetic. Take away their cell phone, their tivo, or watch them get a flat tire on a highway and they turn into women.
This country is seriously screwed. Atheism/homosexuality/abortion/drugs/porn/greed and feminism have completely wrecked us.
The Filipina is a throwback to what an American woman used to be, and i praise God that i found one that is truely my soulmate.

is this going to be a bash the american woman thread?

Thats what I am wondering whistling.gif

No offense meant to all american ladies here

no offense taken by u but these kind of threads usually are taken to start bashing american woman by the american men. they usually blame american woman for everything. they dont tell that the reason they are the way they are is because american men have differnt standards when it comes to an american woman. what a filipeno woman gets away with...an american woman cant and then the bashing starts.

such as if an american woman wants to help her family financially the man tells her to tell her family to get off their lazy butts and get a job...if a filipeno wants to send money to their family they are saints for it and praised. the american man wont tell u that part of the story. if the american woman wants to stay home and raise her kids she is know as a free loader, but if a filipeno woman dont work and stays at home with the kids...oh how sweet she is to want to stay at home with her kids and husband.

just telling u...we american woman are not as bad as these men say but it is them who has the double standards. im not here to bash the men here but just to set the record straight.
