Dude, chill. She just asked a simple question, albeit in the wrong forum.

And answering the question...time, give it time.

Philippinesprivacy between married couple
He should give you the passwords to set your mind at ease. If he won't it will only reinforce the suspension in your mind. Because there is something potentially fishy going on with him, he should open up and put you at ease by letting you see inside his stuff.
Although he could just as easily do that AFTER he cleans out any of the bad stuff.....i dunno, i'm sorry this happened, because once you start to question trust, it's never really the same after that.

PhilippinesDoes the NVC have an online case status?
I was wondering if after you get the hard-copy NOA2, is there any way of tracking our case with the NVC? Or is the next time we will hear anything is when my fiancee is contacted by the USEM?
Thanks.

PhilippinesEmployer Letter for interview...
I am a self-employed contractor, and i have contracted my work from the same company for 3.5 years. As i understand it, i should not need a letter from my employer because i am self-employed, however, i have decided to go ahead and get one just in case.
My question is, what exactly should the letter say? Obviously it should say how long said company has provided me with work, but anything else?
Any info is appreciated.

PhilippinesWOW- This family got screwed over !!!
^I HIGHLY doubt thet Art Bell would write anything racist like that. I've heard his show and he isn't that type of guy, not to mention if he's married to a Filipina....it doesn't make sense for him to write that.
He has a lot of enemies, i'm sure they are to blame.

Lol, probably cause he's Art Bell....he knows too much, they wanna keep him isolated in a foreign land.

That indeed sucks.

It would be better if you will figured out first if the guy you meet is compatible to you, make sure he is honest showing of who he is. You should also be honest to him as well. pay attention, if you have in common, then some of the same interests, the two of you into having Family? how many child/children do you like? the two of you can live up or accept her/his chracters? and most importantly how do you handle the money, do you like to have a joint account? or do you prefer to have, each of you have your own bank acount? the last thing but not the least, do you both enjoy having sex? how often?

It don't take much time to determined compatibility between partners. After the second date, I assumes that you have sex already and you have make up your mind that she is the one for you and she also has make up her mind that you is for her. Some famous people get married after only a short cortshif. For example, Pres. Marcos married Imelda only after 7 days of knowing each other.

Pardon me, why is my English grammar broke now like you bulaklak? laughing.gif

Seriously, I don't have any idea if a brief courtship raises a red flag for imigration purposes. My husband and I have been sweethearts for almost ten years before he filed the I-129 petition last year. We are now married and living together in the Sonoran desert and we don't have any regrets.

If you think she is the one for you, go ahead and strike while the iron is hot! good.gif

Hey, where is that a picture of in your sig? It's cute looking.

PhilippinesSt. Lukes needs name & address info of petitioner's friend??
My fiancee just told me that her friend just recently did the St. Lukes thing and they needed a name and address of a friend or relative of her petitioner/fiance.
I've never heard this before...is it true? If so do i just give my fiancee a name and address of a relative here in the US?
Thanks.

^ Yep. We got our NOA2 on 7/28 and there is no record of our case with NVC. I'm getting sick of all this bullsh*t. First it was a 150 something day wait for the NOA2, and now after 11 days the NVC still doesn't even have a record of our case.

Maybe an Amerikano or Filipina that can type clearly to where i can understand it, and that has already gone through this stuff, could give me some info that will clarify this sh*t in my brain. Everything has kind of gotten jumbled together and if there are some shortcuts to getting all this done i'm all ears.

Wow dude. Just because the person from pakistan answered your question you need an, "Ameikano or Filipina" to hear the answer.

You are a Texan aren't you?

The idiocy and inability for some people here to grasp concepts is mind boggling.
Keys words include "Manila", "Filipina", and "Already gone through".

PhilippinesAfter getting the NVC case number, then what??
We are waiting for the NVC to send the confirmation/forwarding letter with the case number. What do we do after that? Do we just sit and wait for the embassy to receive our case and contact her, or can she start getting other stuff done before the embassy contacts her?
If there is other things she can be doing, what will she need to bring with her to get those things done?
Thanks, i am just overwhelmed with all this BS and have kind of lost my way on what's the fastest most efficient way to get all this stuff done!!

maybe you should wait for when she can schedule for the interview, some posts ive read had some people saying it's good to have the medical about 2 weeks prior the interview but probably not a month before that smile.gif

Did you, the petitioner, get the letter from NVC? My fiance hasnt received ours, he said they(his dad) just received the NOA2 smile.gif did you call in the embassy yet? I havent called them up I called the Department of state instead and they told me the embassy had received our case

In my option wait tell the 2 weeks before the interview. But technically you can do it now!

Wait a minute! How can she do the medical now if everyone says that she needs the "appointment letter" from the USEM? Some people are saying to wait for the USEM to contact her and give her an "appointment letter", and some are saying not to wait for the USEM to contact her but to go ahead and do the medical with the NVC letter and NOA2....which is it???

Basically she wants to get this sh*t done. We want to do it fast, but obviously she needs to have all the stuff with her that's needed.

it is better to take it in advance in case of something happen. but most people go through medical in a breeze. good luck

These are the types of things that confuse me. One person says it's good for a year, the other says probably only one month.
Does anybody know which?

I just got the NVC hard-copy today with the MNL number. I assume the case is on it's way to Manila at this time. I have read that getting the medical done ASAP is wise so that if there are any questions regarding it there is still time to work it out before the interview date.
Which raises a new question....
How much time can elapse between the medical and interview? Is there a cut-off date to make the medical void?

OK, we got the hard copy from NVC with the case number that starts with MNL. Can my fiancee do her medical now or does she have to wait for the USEM to get our case? If she can do the medical already, what does she need to bring? Copies or originals of what? Is it first come, first serve at St. Lukes, or does she need to call and make an appointment?

PhilippinesSending flowers to Cebu....A tip!
Well i got an email response from the owner of Kalidades. Apparently she was out of town and left things up to some guy named Jude who wasn't doing what he was supposed to, that's why our order was so jacked-up.
Anyway, the owner made everything right, and fired Jude. I told her that i made this thread about their bad business, and after she contacted me she asked me to let everyone know that it was not the way they run their business, just a bad apple they hired. I told her i would post this info, and i have....that is all.

PhilippinesSending flowers to Cebu....A tip!
Hey all, Just putting the word out. I payed Kalidades "house of flowers" in Cebu City to deliver flowers to my fiancee. They didnt send them and then apparently lied about trying to email me and ask for better directions, (when the directions i gave are the same ones i give everyone else with no problems). They emailed me to tell me that they take Visa, but then said they emailed me several times after for a better address, but i never got any of those emails.
So if your sending flowers to your sweetheart in Cebu, stay the hell away from Kalidades.
Just thought i'd let yall know.

PhilippinesCalling the USEM...
QUOTE (MikenKyhen @ Aug 11 2009, 04:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hey rockhouse. I don't think you will be charged for calling to inquire whether they have received your case yet but once they do they will give you a pin number and you can make two calls for 18 dollars, regardless of what you are calling for then you have to pay again if you need to make further inquiries and get a new pin number. They charge your credit/debit card. I know, It's a freakn joke..18 dollars to ask a question. Gimme a break. Good luck and remember to ask them everything you can think of while you have them on the phone the first time you call and definately the second time if necessary. Take care man. Were pullin for you guys. Mike

I was diggin around in that link AbbynSheryl provided and i think that ALL calls, regardless for what, are charged the $18.
What a racket! It seems like you could atleast inquire whether they have received your case without paying them!
rockhouseMalePhilippines2009-08-11 17:08:00
PhilippinesCalling the USEM...
Now that we are waiting for the NVC to forward our case to USEM, is it best to just wait for them to contact my fiancee, or go ahead and call them to check and see if they have received it already?
Do they charge the $18.00 if i want to call and inquire if they have received our case from the NVC, or do they just charge for the call that sets up the interview? The reason i ask, (in case you didn't see my earlier threads), is that my fiancee wants to knock-out the medical ASAP.
Also, how do they charge the $18.00? I use a cell phone for all my calls, i don't have a land-line at all....how do they charge the fee?
Thanks.
