The check is made out to the "Department of Homeland Security".

All the info you need is in the guides as well as the instructions for the I129f you find on the USCIS website.

ok heres what ive included copies of birth certificates also my passport just in case divorce decrees anullment papers for both of us g-325a's for both with passport photo's attached photo's of my visit to the philippines with her and her family 4 email conversations including a list of emails going back to when we first met yahoo messenger chats 4 from then to now
receipt copies of my visit there copies of boarding passes letters of intent additional letter for question 18 cover letter ive put cover sheets on each type of evidence with a message more available upon request and bulked that into evidence of ongoing relationship on her g-325a she marked other and put k-1 visa i scratched out and put submitted with I-129F petition also included a separate page for I-129F question 13 part B to fit all info for her daughter and also copied all the calling cards i've used to call her i have no actual phone records other than that plus a couple letters we have exchanged
Did I Miss ANYTHING!!!!!!

Ongoing relationship evidence as well as evidence that does not prove a face to face meeting within the last two years is NOT required. This information includes e-mails, call records, letters, etc... You can save yourself some time and the USCIS some effort by not including this.

but would it not make things easier if they have the info there and possibly reduce the chances of rfe

Was March the recording date because that is when it was considered 'final'? Many places have a waiting period before the divorce/annullment is considered 'final'. If that's the case, i'd leave the March date. If you know for sure it was 'final' in January then i'd change it. Someone from the Philippines could probably help you more.

good luck

well on the marriage certificate it is typed on the side that the marriage is null and void it says jpursuant to the decision jan23rd in the decree of finality it says february 10 th and the recorded stamp is mar 7th????

Well it used to be 3 years of taxes... now it's usually just one but your best bet is to contact the Embassy you'll be dealing with to find out exactly what they will request of you. Each one is different.

It's ok to put the tax stuff together now but you should wait for the rest of the supporting documents (letter from employer...paystubs..etc) until after you've received your NOA2.

good luck

i guess my question is still do i need to request a copy from the irs or will the copy i filed with turbo tax be sufficient

The copy you filed with turbo tax will be fine (that's what I did), but you will also need to send copies of your W-2's.

got it thanks a bunch every one

it's great that this subject came up because I just have a friend in a similar situation,so since I'm a member I can ask VJ members who might help him with his dilemna. My buddy is an US citizen,he met and fell in love with a vietnamese citizen but she applied for a student visa to study in Australia and was granted,so she's been living there for a few months now.He wants to know if he can petition K-1 visa while she has a student visa in Australia.does she have to come back to vietnam for police certificate or can she ask a family member to obtain it for her? she would have to come back to vn for all the paperwork and interviews?can she visit him in the States with a studen visa?he will appreciate any comments or advice.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Address
QUOTE (visaBeginner @ Jul 14 2008, 12:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi,

My girlfriend, soon to be fiance, and I are interested in moving our relationship to the next level. I have been researching the K-1 process over the past month and I am a bit concerned. She is from a poor community in Nicaragua. For those that have not been to Nicaragua, Nicaragua does not have a post office infrastructure and addresses are only available in major cities. Thus, she doesn't have an address by which she can receive mail. I am worried about applying for a K-1 and she will not being able to receive any of the forms the embassy sends her. Does anyone know what I can do to get around this? I don't know if they have P.O. Boxes in Nicaragua but it's something I can look into. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Ok I finally found the form number for this. If you want someone you trust (who lives in the city) OR yourself to receive correspondences from the Consulate, you need to fill out form DS-3032 Choice of Address and Agent.

You can find it here: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf

It's best to also call your Consulate.

I think it must mean that your head is not turned one way or another so either ear is hidden. I don't think it applies to hairstyles covering the ears at all. My ears are not visible in my passport photo even though I have very short hair in it, and in the photo I sent off with my packet has one ear visible and the other covered by long hair. If I get flak from it I will post in the RFE's thread.

1. Do I have to put my name or sign on all the documents that i will send espicially the copies?
2. Then where can I put the word " Original Submission" and "I-129F" in the package. is it above the USCIS adress?

sorry....but I really dont know where. hehehe.. I can send my package already after you guys reply. I'm just being paranoid i guese...Thanks

1) your signature should be on i-129f, g-325A (yours) , and letter of intent... if i were you i would make copies of the original signed documets.
2) the only originals needed are the i-129f, and the g-325a.... that's it... all the rest are copies. however you need to make sure that you keep originals handy.. they will most likely need to be sent to your honey....
when i sent mine, I did not put anything on the envelope... just my return address, and the service center i was sending it to... that's it...... once they open the package they will know where to direct it...

Breath babe, it is all going to be ok.....

Example....

1234 10th street
McAllen Texas 12345
01/01/07 to present

1234 Calle rio
tamalipas, mx 12345
05/01/1995 to 01/01/07

and any other addresses lived in mexico..

Or longer. I have seen people who filed for Naturalization in 1996 and were still waiting for the background checks to complete. From INS to CIS and yet Immigration was still aware of their cases and when requested would send updates indicating it was still pending.

At this point the only thing that is going to take care of this - which amounts to a backlog - is for an overhaul of the system. Which all current indications point at happening, the earliest, in 2010.

Mind you, mohamod, mohammed, muhamad, etc . . . are not the only names with problems. Ali, Imran, Saaed, and many other popular, male, Islamic names can be indefinitely detained.

For what it is worth - I have also seen someone with a perfectly American name - with all family members with English names - have the same problem. So it is not limited to Islamic and Arabic names - they just happen to be the most common.
