OH my, so much catching up to do....

BEX!!! So excited for you. Got the SO off to work, then came to check Igor first. I saw the 1 VSC on the stats page. I just knew it was you and couldn't click fast enough to see the list with names. YES!!

APRIL I've been watching your timeline. So glad you showed up in person. I have a spreadsheet of all March and I shade in the rows once they get NOA2, so I knew you were due. Congratulations to you too.

ALEENA idea9dv.gif~~~ALEENA~~~ ALEENA~~~ ALEENA~~~ ALEENA~~~
Super vibes~~~~ to you because you're next. So let us take care of it and you pretend you're not interested.

I've got the DHL tracking to the embassy down to a science now so if anybody needs help with the next obsession, I offer my help.

ERIN I like your mother's sticker idea. She sounds sweet. I used to teach school and did the positive reinforcement with stickers often myself. Reward yourself and see it visually and know you're special. We all need to learn to love ourselves more.

About the offer of beers from Bex. I'm in Oxfordshire, but I suppose I could catch a train..... Um no, I'm not getting on any more transportation methods today. Taking the day off to chill. Today feels like I've adjusted to British time. Enjoyed some British bangers last night. Having a great time being treated like a princess.

Good afternoon from the UK my March thread friends~~

It's been over 24 hours since I last got out of bed in Texas. It's so nice to be able to stretch out a little after sitting in the car, the plane, the bus or standing in a line. What a beautiful day it is here.

I was going to say something about how everybody sounds more cheerful today and then I completely dozed off on the keyboard. I guess I'd better go get a nap in, so I won't be a zombie when Nick gets home from work.

See ya later.......zzzzzzz......snooze.....zzzz......snore........

Good morning Marchers

I've now confirmed that my package left NVC Thursday afternoon and it's flying over the Atlantic as I type. Whew! Every little step feels rewarding and boosts your mood. With the weekend upon us, I suppose it will be Monday before it gets delivered to the London Embassy---which is precisely the day I arrive in England. Packet 3 should come while I'm there so we can do that part and organize the docs for the interview together. I finalized my Affidavit of Support and got it notarized this week. Also got the tax transcripts, bank statements, and assorted "proof" of income ready for backup if they ask to see it at the Embassy. So, I guess that means my part is done for now. It's time for me to get my packing organized, charge up the UK mobile phone, and make notes for the cat sitter.

You know what's really crazy? Suddenly all the waiting and agonizing has vanished and I'm thinking..well that was quick and easy. LOL
So hang on everybody, it will happen.

P.S. idea9dv.gif Vibes~~~~ to VSC for Bex (Haven't forgotten ya)

I guess I just got excited when I saw how some got the noa2 in a month's time.

I did the same thing. The average for March filers has been climbing mostly as VSC slowed down some at the beginning of April. Yours could be another 2-3 weeks, but then you never know because they get out of order and approve somebody really fast. That's why we're all crazy, obsessed nuts here. wacko.gif

Today's obsession: I think my petition left the NVC for London today. No confirmation but I was eyeing a package on DHL tracking so decided to fixate on it being ours. Like I said NUTS. I'll call NVC late tonight when they're not busy and check status.

"there was however a £100 phone bill "

We use Vonage. 7.99 (pounds) a month unlimited calls to US. It uses any kind of regular phone. I have it too for $25/mo unlimited calls to all of US, UK, Italy, and France. We talk hours a day. Kinda late for you to start a year's term. But if anybody is interested I would love for you to use one of our numbers as a referral so we and thenew customer get a free month or two. PM me for that wink.gif

Actually when Nick came here, he brought his Vonage box and plugged it into my router and his UK calls rang here. He may continue it so his family can call him anytime they want to with no long distance fees.

He's on the phone right now (of course) and suggested you look at www.telediscount.co.uk and check for information about access codes. 1 pence per minute to US.

Well.....call me crazy, but I actually feel alot calmer now that the wheels are in motion toward immigration. Before it was kinda like a crazy dream--falling for this foreigner and wishing somehow you could just live together instead of messaging all the time. I felt really good when I mailed in the petition. ***exhale** At least it's a plan instead of a fairy tale in my head. Don't get me wrong, I'm as impatient as the next person waiting around for an unknown date, but not feeling heartbreak so much.

Hello March filers~

Just wanted to say I enjoyed looking at the wedding dress pictures some of you girls posted. Very pretty.

Still waiting patiently here. BUT I did get a little anxious when I saw that the UK couple with the same exact dates as us already got their NOA2. I just had to check the USCIS website to look for an update. I've abstained from looking for two weeks. No changes to report. no0pb.gif

I didn't either...only pages that showed trips to the UK and one page that showed a stamp we both had of us entering the Czech Republic same day, same place to try to establish being in the same place for evidence of meeting. It seemed to be okay with USCIS not to have my whole passport copied.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCould Someone explain Igors list questions?
QUOTE
This week, i went from number 165, to 162, 158, and now TODAY, 118, but yet ONLY TWO are showing up as being approved on the list

Am I correct in assuming that 50+ people got approved over night, which deleted them from the WAITING list and moved me up into number 118. Does that make any sense? And IF so, WHY aren't they showing on the LAST 20 approved list

Another thing that could make you jump to a lower number on the list is for example.... 5 people woke up and decided to update their timelines. They were approved back in April or May. They won't show up in the last 20 because it goes by dates. Sometimes Capt Ewok goes through the list, I think, and clears out ones that obviously have been abandoned. You can also go backwards on the list if people who filed earlier than you just discovered VJ and started a timeline. Because they have an earlier filing date, they move into the list and shove you back a few slots.

You won't be approved in order. We personally moved from #61 on Igors to approved. The list was way past needing a clean out at the time. I found the best use of Igors for me was to see who was getting approved without finding it in a post. You can look at it now and say, oh they may be getting to July filers pretty soon. It's just a fun thing to look at but not a precise science at all.
Nich-NickNot TellingUnited Kingdom2008-11-15 21:30:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow can my timeline dates change so drastically in one day????
If you scroll down to the very last forum in the whole list, there is a place there for site related discussion. Perhaps Capt Ewok could address your questions or review your suggestions. I know he did a big software update a few days ago and maybe there's an explantion he could give to let you know if the timelines could have been affected by it.

Hi April!

That's a beautiful picture Dale. Congratulations on the marriage.

Nick's EAD and AP were approved in about 60 days. I believe the timeline says 59, but I don't know where VJ starts counting. We got an email saying card production ordered, but allow 30 days to receive the card. I've seen a number of timelines that get the card in a week or two. So he's getting ready to make his first employment applicaton today.

Sorry, I can't answer the question about France. Have you read the Paris reviews on VJ to see if anybody mentioned having a problem because of an older letter. London didn't even ask for a new letter of intent. Three months isn't so long and certainly newer than your original letter of intent. I bet it's fine.

Hope you all have great holidays! star_smile.gif

Hello Aprilers! Waiting for the movers to come and take my stuff away. If everything goes well, I'll be able to leave by November 20. I'm so happy! smile.gif Hope everything is going well with all of you. Has any of you already dealt with the hassle of the transcription of medical results?

Howdy April. We've been married a month today. It still seems weird or maybe not just sunk in yet. We're enjoying every minute of it though. The weather has been like spring here in the 70s. Raffaella...good progress getting the things shipped out. Wow, it's really happening for you. Get over here by Nov 20 for sure. We're all coming to your Thanksgiving dinner. laughing.gif

The medical stuff with AOS is so screwed up. We didn't do anything with it yet. We filed and sent in the copy of the immunization worksheet only. Now we will wait on an RFE and see if we get a clue what else they want since we're in that transition bubble of a medical in June. There's been so many medicals that turn up "lost" so the petitioner has to do it all over again in the US. Then there's the new TB skin test thing that medicals after June 1 are supposed to take. So rather than paying for transcription of immunizations, then finding out he needs to go back to a Civil Surgeon for a skin test or go back to repeat the medical, we're just expecting an RFE or two or three. wacko.gif I figure we're at least in the October box and that was better than messing around for a month trying to figure out what is the best thing to do, only for it to be the wrong thing or worse... lost.

Speaking of shipping your things. Nicks 23 boxes/650 pounds of stuff is still at the Port of Houston. It was tentatively supposed to be cleared for pick up yesterday, but it seems that particular container is scheduled for intensive exam which means they open it up and prowl through the stuff inside. There's three levels of inspection and this is the highest. Nick's things are all on one pallet among lots of others, so they won't necessarily be opening his up, but it makes you wonder now if things might come up missing. It may be another week before we have to deal with where to put all that stuff. That's a good thing. whistling.gif

Are you talking about this from the historical processing times page"

If so, that changes based on VJers adding their information to their timelines. So maybe this week people updated with times faster than the previous "average" so it changes the averages and the graph and the predicted date. It's only a guide and depends on how well people keep up with their timelines. Well, it also depends on how fast the VSC in approving petitions.

Well we are home in the US kicking.gif We got in Tuesday evening exhausted. We had 6 heavy pieces of luggage that I mostly pushed and toted because of Nicks broken bones and arm in a sling. We still haven't finished unpacking it all, but we have a marriage license...and the cake finalized with the bakery lady...and a fresh haircut for me...and groceries. I never had a chance to restock the refridgerator after having to throw everything out after the hurricane and no electricity. Then I took that unplanned trip to England for 10 days. Poor Nick woke up his first morning living in America and said, "I'm hungry" and all I could offer him was hurricane rations..."do you want peanut butter crackers, vanilla wafers, or tuna?" rofl.gif We aren't sweating the small stuff and are so happy.

Hi from the UK. 23 boxes picked up this morning to be shipped to Texas. We're getting there. We leave a week from tomorrow. I am so not ready. I was going to have the house so perfect and spaces cleared, fresh haircut, nails done, wedding planned by the time Nich arrived. Well when you lose 11 days to a hurricane evacuation and aftermath, then 11 more due to a spur of the moment trip overseas, it ain't gonna happen. Oh well...no problem. We are still going to get married October 5 I hope. I just have to make long distance plans and skip the cute little invitations I was going to do. Besides, we have 4 days after we get home. My name isn't on Nick's visa either. Guess London doesn't print theirs that way.

Congratulations Dale. Everybody has exciting dates and plans. Isn't it cool to actually be able to plan on a date instead of just waiting and waiting for NOA2, not knowing if it's next week, next month, next year. Excitement and nervousness are waaaay better than depression brought on by obsessing over checking USCIS website. Everybody is moving along and that ROCKS!!! Good news is, he remembered he had a fiance and my phone number. hahahaha. So far he knows he has a fractured collar bone and rib. Movers are supposed to pick up his stuff Monday morning and he's not done packing boxes or getting things out of the attic. Was planning to take several large suitcases and two carry-on bags for the flight in 11 days. Now he's thinking he can't pull it off with one arm. Darn! Russ, you be very, very careful until Wednesday.

Wedding plans...well our plans were to marry on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5 at a friends house with less than a dozen friends that we both know well. Just a little afternoon gathering with champagne and small wedding cake and a judge to do the legalities. Glad I didn't go with the Galveston plan we were thinking of earlier. It's an island close by and has some charming places. It is fairly destroyed right now and inhabitable after the hurricane. It's going to take a while to get services restored enough to let residents return to start cleaning up and rebuilding. So I guess maybe my wedding is to be determined once again until we know more about the injuries.

Congratulations Sandra. kicking.gif

Relax you girls sweating the upcoming interviews...going to be fine. You can charm the latinos at the embassy. Can you go inside? I was allowed by showing my American passport. Wear a low cut top. rofl.gif

OH YIPEE!! YESSSSS
So happy for you Kim and Russ. So no drama at the interview? Finally a stage of this process moved fast for you.

Today is a happy day for me too. I got gasoline so went back to get my cats that I left in north Houston. When I got home, I had lights...what a relief. I live near a school and I think they are trying to get the schools back up, so we must be on the same lines. The fridge is getting cold, but it's empty because I had to throw everything out. I watched TV news. Walmart and Target opened today. Shipleys opened and I got my first cup of coffee in days. Loved it! My town is slowly coming back to life. Life is good and it feels so great to be getting back to normal. Now I can focus on Nick's arrival and our upcoming wedding. WOW.
