After 2 years of struggling to be together, on Monday our case was finally approved in Amsterdam. It was a bit of an anti-climatic end considering all the ups and downs of the USCIS & NVC. The final moment was very quick, pleasant and pain-free My husband will finally join my daughters and I on 18 April and our real journey as a family will begin. Despite the best immigration lawyers his employer could retain, their experience and knowledge and guidance were a disgrace compared to the wonderful and fantastic advice we received from people here on this site. Having started the journey with lawyers, and finished it without them, I can honestly tell you that the advice & guides from this site are 1000% more helpful than any lawyer, even for the 'not so usual' cases... They can not take all the received petitions and place on offiers desks, the desks would collapse. Everyday, they are assigned a section, they are distributed and worked on. Anyone being approved in 20 day, 25 days well they are the lucky ones. But for us with NOA 1 March 12, reasonable approval time would be early to mid May. Ao in mwan while get to know the NVC process so you can breeze thru it, best to prepare now, get your docs for NVC cause it will take a while for Police cert, and etc. Good luck, hey it could be worse, we all could be at VSC. Yeah! those are the lucky ones!!! I just got approved...but no touches...no email from CRIS....in short no updates...they will just surprised you with your NOA2! Cheer up! We also got the barcode cover sheet along with our own made cover page of the listed documents. We also neatly stapled them and use few paper clips making out packet a clean organized package. We also put on ever page to the right of never page our case number. However, I got one small question about a question about my dad's I864A. On his Employment letter is states that he is a Chief Cook but on all three of his 1040's it states he is a Merchant Marine. What occupation should I use so that I don't recieve an RFE? Dear Lord, I come unto you as your servant to bless all those who are out there seeking answers as well. Lord, I pray also for all the married couples who are hurting and feeling hopeless. I got my NOA2 last 4/14/09...and its a wonderful feeling....I recieved PMs from friends and some I really dont know but wish me goodluck with my NVC journey (Thank you all....) But behind those happiness they feel for me...i know they are still hurt that some of them havent recieved their approvals...I know its not a big thing for me to tell them that "things will be okay...just have faith in GOD..PRAY! YOUR TIME WILL COME SOON" I know we always hear and read this line to those people who are approved (some maybe sincere on saying this, but some are not....they just disappear)....but I know we cant do anything to make it faster..I know its unfair for some....but the least we can do is PRAY for you guys...and stay by your side.... Dear Father God, As you always say...."ask and you shall recieve". I know you wont give us trials or tests we cant manage...We are just thinking this is just a test from you on how strong is our faith in you. We will always be faithful to you Oh God..and we trust you that you will do things to make things better.
