Is it once a month they go through and change the dates for the processing times for California? It seems that way.

Yeah, they usually update the USCIS website once a month but they give themselves a 6 month cushion.
We have been seeing September CSC filers being approved. smile.gif

Thanks so much for your quick reply!!! This looks like it's going to be a long and tedious process, but they say love will conquer all!!! lol good.gif

You are very welcome!
You are looking at anywhere from 6 to 9 months till visa in hand.
You can check out the Immigration Timelines at the top of the page, click on K1 Visa Display Options and then search by consulate and country.
It gives you a look at other couples time line with the same consulate and country.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresConfused about processing times for I-129F
Hi and welcome to VJ! smile.gif
There was a fee increase in July and the USCIS received a HUGE amount of petitions...From NOA1 to NOA2, people were looking at 6 to 8 months to get approval.
They seem to have worked past the majority of the petitions and we are now seeing some October filers being approved!!!
It's back to the 4 to 6 month mark.
Be patient, it will come soon!!!!

Best of luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresquestion about service center processing date
QUOTE (Major Kuma @ Jan 30 2008, 11:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
What does the service center processing date tell us? I am looking at CA center and it says the processing date is July 19, 2007. But we are still waiting for our NOA2, and our online status still says on July 17, they received our application. Should I contact the USCIS and make a fuss about this?

They are always behind. People from May and June are still waiting.
I know it's hard but be patient...your time will come any day now!!!! smile.gif

Thnx now I am honestly wondering if it is even worth filing

This is a long process for anyone to go through. Right now it is taking 3+ months to get an approval. If you file, you are going to wait for that length of time before you know if you got approved or denied. Then it goes to the embassy and more waiting. Interview and more waiting. Possible background checks and more waiting. Take a look at some of the threads in here and read about the frustration and agony of going through this process.

The only basic requirement for the K1 is the meeting. That is it. To me, that is a pretty easy and simple requirement to bring the person I want to marry to the US. A lot of people save up and make that one trip if only to just meet the requirement to file.

In my opinion, trying to circumvent this requirement and reading denial after denial of the appeals on the USCIS website, I think wait, go and either meet and file a K1 or get married on your trip there and do a K3 or CR1. While there is a chance you may be approved without meeting, that chance is a very very very very very small one. And, if I were you, I would not take that chance. Its a lot of money to throw away on that slim a chance.

Spot on. good.gif

I think it would probably be best if you either A) meet in person and then file or cool.gif get married and file for a spousal visa.
You'll figure it out together. You are together in this, a team. Keep faith and hope in your love.

Because meeting at least once in the past two years prior to filing is a requirement of the K1 in order to file, you will need a letter from an authority in the religious organization verifying that you are both members of that religion, and are unable to meet.

Best of luck to you! smile.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI need some advice?are we gonna have some trouble?
Anyone can buy a ring...it's not something they are looking for at all. It doesn't prove there is a bona fide relationship.
You need things like boarding passes, stamps in your passport, hotel receipts, car rental receipts, etc. etc. Stuff that proves you visit one another. Pictures are a huge help with this also.
You also need proof that you are communicating on a regular basis. Phone records, emails, etc. etc.

A ring is a ring...it doesn't prove anything.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDesperation
The feeling crazy part is totally normal...despite how crazy that sounds!
I go crazy for a good week after I see Nick...then it just turns to everyday aching for him.
Then I think of the future and realize in the long run..this time is just a drop in the bucket.

You will be together, you'll be with him, sharing each day and all of this will be beyond worth it. Just think of how it feels to be beside him and be thankful each day he is in your life...no matter how near or far he is.

I wish you both the best.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhile we wait to get approved.....
Exactly as Gary said. Read up on the Guides here at VJ. Look at the K1 Flowchart and see what's coming up next.
Mainly, just take each day. Work, save money, keep the relationship strong, plan a visit and visit! smile.gif
Plan your future with your soon to be spouse. Talk about what you would like to do in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. If you will be buying a home, look at homes together online. Talk about decorating your house or apartment. Talk about how you'll get all your fiance's stuff over (or your stuff over if you are the fiance)

Just live and plan for the next chapter in your lives.

Best of luck to you! smile.gif

? Please clarify the question.
You need to have original signatures on the G-325A and the letter of intent..nothing can be scanned.

~Laura and Nick~FemaleCanada2008-02-22 20:39:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG-325 -- Am I a complete IDIOT???
You both have to fill one out.
The G325A is 4 sheets total. So that would make 8.

Applicant simply means the person that the form is about. Yours would be about you, his would be about him.

This form is used for other visas as well, that's why it asks about the outside the states resident. If you are the foreign fiance, you would put your address in that section because you are living outside the States, what's what I did. Perhaps you could put "None" since it doesn't apply to you but I would put your current address.

Relax and breathe, you'll get through it. Just follow the Guides.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA1 Hard copy recieved, Now what???
Congrats on NOA1.
Check out the K1 Flowchart. It gives you an idea of what is coming up next.
Now you pretty much just wait.
I would work on getting the passport for your fiance. You could figure out your financial stuff but I would hold off until you are closer to your NOA2, you want them to be as current as possible. When filers around you start getting approved, then you could really start getting things in gear.
Best of luck smile.gif

There will be a "Last Updated" date.
That's the last time your petition was "touched".
That means that someone has done something to your profile, looked at it, filed it, moved it, etc.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIn desperate need of HELP
QUOTE (Donny @ Dec 17 2007, 09:30 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
When I did fill out the forms online 2 months ago, only 3 pages were printed (I don't know why). So I just printed 1 page again to have 4 pages. So obviously there are 2 of those that have the same exact PAGE NUMBER. At that time I didn't know that each have it's own corresponding PAGE number.

Since all the initial paperworks were already submitted, am I just being paranoid here in wondering if we are going to get an RFE?

hmmm...I really don't know. I'd wait it out and see what happens. You could get a new G325A filled out and printed making sure it's all 4 pages just in case. That way if you get an RFE, you have the information all ready to pop back in the mail. It shouldn't delay the process too much, probably just by a couple of weeks.
~Laura and Nick~FemaleCanada2007-12-17 09:37:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIn desperate need of HELP
Right, so what he's saying is...when you fill it in, don't just print off the first page you filled out 4 times. If you did it online using the Guides here at VJ or even straight off of the USCIS website, it auto fills in the other 3 pages and you print all 4 of those. At the bottom of each page they are labeled already.

(1) Ident
(2) Rec. Br.
(3) C.
(4) Consulate

The info on all 4 pages are the same, the numbering at the bottom is the only difference.
Smiles to you

Okay, here it goes..... I did post this question a couple of days ago in another thread where it actually belongs! But it was gathering dusts there & I haven't seen anyone that even tried to read that thread.

This is the question.....

"For instance the G-325A form submitted are 4 copies yet the pages are not exactly 1, 2, 3, and 4. Is this reason enough for the service center to send RFE to the petitioner for the correct pages of such form?"

helpsmilie.gif --- I know I'm exag wink.gif

Hi smile.gif
I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Are you asking if they aren't labeled "1" "2" "3" "4" you'll get an RFE?
If that's the question, no you won't get an RFE for not numbering the pages.

Best of luck to you
