Canada	Canadians that have a fiance in the States, Their fiances filed petition for them K-! visa	Hello hon, I just wanted to write and give you some extra support. VJ is a wonderful community and during my process I found much comfort here. I am from Brantford, Ontario. Pretty close to T.O. I moved to New Jersey to be with my now husband and have been here for just over a year and a half. Wow, time flies. I want you to know that this journey is a long one, it's frustrating, exciting, nerve wracking and totally awesome all at once. I'm bummed you used a lawyer, you could have saved yourself a lot of money as filing really isn't that complicated if you have a straight forward case. We almost used one but then I found this website and we filed ourselves and had no problems at all. That being said, if you felt more comfortable using a lawyer, good for you. I'm sure everything will work out fine. It took Nick and I just over 7 months from the time I filed to the time I moved. In the grand scheme of things, it's really not that long. Looking back, I enjoyed the ride and Nick and I are so much stronger. If you have any questions, just ask, we are all a helpful, knowledgeable bunch. All the best to you and your hubby to be! Be patient, visit your fiance to get through the rough times, get all your paperwork in order, follow the guidelines on the site and it will be moving day before you know it.
