Tell them you are just checking to see if your petition has made it to the center and that you have a USCIS number. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC - Embassy case number	Wait a few days and call NVC back and ask if your package is on it's way to the Consulate in Germany... If it is, you can check using the DHL tracking method...it's a little tricky cause there may be multiple packages leaving for Germany at once and so you don't know exactly which one yours is in...you'd have to track a few.
