Hopefully they will fix their time line soon.

They have fixed their time line already. I thought they were december filers too... It surely got me excited coz it would have meant december filers are rolling in and there is a great possibility of seeing january filers getting approval by early or mid march. FALSE ALARM! wacko.gif

Nonetheless, at the rate its going, im positive there would be december approvals by the end of this month or early march. yes.gif

Me too!!!
I hope it comes soon smile.gif

According to the timlines, there seems to be a December approval. The couple received there NOA1 with DEc. 15 date and just received their NOA2 yesterday.

COULD THIS REALLY BE HAPPENING!?!?!!?

hi guys
hope every one is hanging in there
just a quick question
is it too optimistic of us to send out wedding invites for an august wedding
we are feeling restless here esp as every one keeps asking where are the invites already
we want a church wedding
what to do
or should we wait till we receive our noa2...

sigh

Hi!!!
You should be safe but...you never know. There could be complications in the case and your approval and interview could get extended passed August.
I would hold off until you at least have NOA2 to give out the invites.

But please be prepared to be turned down for the expedite.

Completely agree with Mox. I doubt they will expedite based on pregnancy unless there is some extreme medical situation with the baby.

No touches here either so far since December 17. no0pb.gif

After a not-so-great week (sometimes telling yourself to be patient and that it's all out of your hands just doesn't do the trick anymore no matter how far you are into the process, right?) I am now a bit more optimistic after seeing the first VSC November filer approved today.

Let's hope VSC keeps up the good work. Everybody, keep your fingers (and toes wink.gif ) crossed!!!

OMG We all made it past 50 days after today. (If you received NOA1 and/or they cash your check on/before december 18.)

Man I need to keep more busy as if going full-time and buying a house isn't enough, therefore I'm hoping to get another part-time evening to kill more time. Or work-out to get in better shape.

Has any December 2007 filer received/been touched or anything from VSC??? I hope we will get ours NOA2 mid-late February.

Well, Good luck to everyone.

TC

Hey sweetie!
Yep, we are passed the 50 day stage.
I try to keep busy too, work a lot, save money and spend time with Nick online.
I'm so glad to have VJ.
Nothing from VSC, haven't been touched since December 17th. I'm thinking we may not see anything until late March early April...but I like your guess better!!! wink.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJanuary 2008 Filers......Any NO2 Approval??? What is going on ???
No, there is no way to expedite unless there is some sort of medical emergency.
It takes anywhere from 4 to 6 months to get NOA2.
Some people have been very lucky and gotten very quick approvals but...don't get your hopes up.
It took us just over 3 months for ours and I feel very very lucky to even have it.
You did file with Vermont which is generally speedier than California so feel lucky for that.
Be patient and think of others who have filed in September of 2007 and are still waiting for NOA2.
Best of luck and patience to you.

Your fiance should have filed at California....

Every day I am thankful that I get to see Nick as much as I do. Many people go for months, even YEARS without seeing each other.

Sometimes I don't even think I should have gotten my approval yet, even though mine took 89 days....there are people waiting from long long LONG before us and those are the ones I truly feel for.

We should be very thankful for getting approved so quickly.

It can sometimes take up to a couple of weeks for the check to be cashed.
Vermont is generally faster than California so you are lucky there.
I wouldn't resent it...it was received by Vermont, it's there. Give it a little bit more time for them to get to it.

Yes it completely is. mad.gif

They sent it to Nebraska (should have been California) and hasn't heard anything since.
They have posted over 12 topics asking the same thing and refuse to use any of the advice that has been given.
I highly suggest the USC fiance to come onto VJ to get the information and move forward.

LOLOL where is all this coming from!!? Relax people jeeez

It's coming from the fact that we don't want people coming to this thread thinking that when they have NOA2 they are guaranteed a visa.
Nothing is for sure in this.

That's why it's a good idea to read the whole post, not just the first sentence.

Oh but I did read the whole post and it still isn't right.
You are not approved for a visa when you have NOA2. Sorry, but you aren't.

I don't think I ever said anything was "guaranteed". blink.gif

I said you are approved and will get a visa, UNLESS they get evidence of something that is against the rules and warrants a denial. If they are sure they are straight up legit, no criminal past, medical good, evidence of a real relationship, it's pretty hard to get denied.

But you didn't say that...you said:

"What most beneficiaries (and many petitioners too) don't realize is that they are already approved for the visa. IMO, the interview is really just a formality for them to meet you and ask you a couple of questions. "

Yes you did mention that unless something comes up you will get the visa...but the first sentence is deceiving. NOA2 does not mean visa approved.

What most beneficiaries (and many petitioners too) don't realize is that they are already approved for the visa. IMO, the interview is really just a formality for them to meet you and ask you a couple of questions.

Unless they see evidence that you are lying or are already married (like pictures of your ceremony headbonk.gif ), they will approve you. Answer their questions truthfully and you'll be ok.

Good luck (even though you don't really need it). wink.gif

Completely not true Kid Brooklyn.
Many have been denied at the interview. Just because you have NOA2 does not mean you are automatically approved and are guaranteed a visa.

I agree with what you said after that though...if you have all or evidence organized, proving you have a bona fide relationship, an approval is likely to follow. There are other circumstances like overstays, etc that can effect the outcome which usually aren't brought up until the interview. Nothing is for sure....It's only when you have visa in hand that you know you have been approved.

Best of luck at the interview hon, you will be fine! smile.gif
