VSC are just barely starting in on October filers. I'd say at this rate (and it's just a guess) you're at least 2 1/2 to 3 months out. VSC could either speed up or slow down but at the current rate 3 months is a good guess.


Or they could just back track it and start approving the May, June, July, August and September filers that they have neglectfully left behind and then start up with October filers....who knows!!!

Without getting my hopes up high, it is good to see the wave of October filers approved. Let's hope that everyone who filed before October will be approved soon too. And, of course, that CSC will resume approving petitions again.

To keep our minds off this process for a moment, are you guys making plans for the day yet when this is over? Are you planning to pick up your SO from her/his home country or will they be coming to the US by themselves?

We are planning that Steve will come to Bermuda (to help me pack and wind up all the stuff with my apartment, etc) and we'll spend a couple of days here before we go back together.

Some of us December filers are already a full month or more into the process, other are close to the 'one-month' mark.
Remember, one month down!!!! We'll make it through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good.gif

Just a little something I wanted to share with you guys out there. I got my flight ticket for February today. For once I was lucky and the price went down $200 from what they quoted yesterday. Everything's a 'little' more expensive in Bermuda. I pick out my wedding dress while I'm there (no regular bridal shops here) and my future mother-in-law is planning a post-Christmas/bridal shower. I'm excited and I know all that will make things feel more real even though it will be a bit strange at the same time because we have no idea yet when the wedding will be. Like I said, just wanted to share this with you.

Weekend's around the corner!!! Steve and I were just talking the other day how much we are looking forward to the times when we get to spend the weekends together. Next year this time this entire process will only be a memory we can tell our kids and grandkids about yes.gif

The projected timelines you have at the moment for when you will receive your NOA2 are based on a lot of cr@p that went on with the fee increase/increased number of petitions/moving petitions to two service centres instead of the original four. many of your timelines will show predictions of around about six months which is what it was taking - things seem to be speeding up however so hopefully things will even out a bit more for you guys and you will start to see shorter processing times in general smile.gif

Now I don't want to build false hope and I am no expert but if you expect a six month wait to get your NOA2 then you may be pleasantly surprised smile.gif Of course advising you to believe you will get it in 90 days would be... silly... smile.gif But you can always hope wink.gif

Meeting up in Vegas to celebrate sounds good. Steve and I are planning to get married there anyway. I wonder whether other K1-couples have had get-togethers in the past once they completed the process. I think it would be fun sharing our happiness after these rough times.

How do you know this? What do you mean by "getting it ready"? If you have some insight into the inner workings of the CSC in regard to what happens after the NOA2 is mailed to the petitioner, I'd be interested in learning about that.

I've been trying to watch how quickly other NOA2s from the CSC are being received by the NVC to see if there's any rhyme or reason to this step. I'm sensitive to this right now, because many petitions approved after mine have already made it to the NVC and mine has not. My NOA2 was July 9, and I've already received the hard copy (that's all I've received).


I simply meant most people get touched after their NOA2 because their petition is being shipped off to NVC. Perhaps I used the wrong wording and you are reading far too much into it.

After NOA2 the petition gets shipped to NVC...simple as that.

Checked the mail when I got home from work today and the letter was sitting there.
It turns out we were approved on the 28th!
