I have been put in AP for already 3 months. I emailed the embassy lot and also calling them. This last Month we haven't heard anything from the embassy although we emailed them and inquired about the status of our case. Just this afternoon I received an email from the embassy. I don't know if this really means they are already working on our case or is it still in line with the papers under AP....

I feel for you as I feel the same way. I know how depressing it is waiting and waiting, especially if there is no specific time to when the waiting will be over. Just have faith and keep strong. Love each other more and make it more stronger than yesterday. Everything happens for a reason. But I believe the right time will come. You will get your visa approve. My prayer for you on that. Cheer up, you are not alone in this road, all we need to do is keep the faith and hope.


I know there are a lot of us on AP during the holidays but it seems to be more depressing this year than last year. At least last year we were moving forward with USCIS and the i130 and headed towards NVC... now we are at a stand still.. at least it feels like it...

im sure they are doing work and that our case really isn't sitting gathering dust but it really feels like it.

I keep reading that 50% of the cases are completed within a couple of months with the majority of them finished within 6 months leaving only those few cases to last longer.. those being either issues with background checks, relationship evidence, field investigations etc...but who knows which case we are...

I've already missed all of my first year of holidays with my husband... now we are headed for the second round... I'm depressed... all we found out was our case was fine, no worries, fbi reports haven't been finalized but they are working on that (two weeks ago) and we are still pending AP.

There isn't much anybody can say or do except wait for the time and it will be completed... I love my husband and he loves me deeply... all we want is our chance for happily ever after.. we want to start a family, we want to be together when it snows, we want to wake up and drink coffee together...and the list goes on....

I'm thankful every day for this man in my life... I just wish this part would end and our next step in the journey begin.

Just waiting for good news for us soon and for so many others waiting this painful AP...


And I just want to say thank you to all of you who send me messages of strength and Faith... Inshallah one day this really will end and we will live our lives blessed with our spouses!!!! AMEEN

Sorry to hear about the denial. You can visit again your fiance and spend more time with her. Spending just 48 hours with your fiance is kinda an alarming to the CO. There are even those who spend more than just one visit and were put into AP/AR. If ever everything fall not in favor with you, then you can maybe come and visit your fiance then get married and file for spousal visa. Keep the faith!! :) :)

anyway what number should i call to inquire for my MNL case number?guys what u think of how long more to wait before i will have my k1 approved?



About the NVC number try to google, it was my fiance called the NVC, but I will ask him then I will update you. Your K1 petition already approved, did you mean how long will it take for you the have your K1 VISA approved? Mostly it takes 3 months from the NOA2 till your interview!! But there are some case too have done it for only a month, it depends on how fast the NVC will send the case in the US embassy Manila

COngrats you got your NOA2. Next step you gonna do is called the NVC after 2 or 3 weeks and inquire about your MNL case number. The NVC will actually send your fiance a letter indicating your case number but waiting for the letter to arrive is like a waste of time, its better to call the nvc and ask about it, so you can have your medical

Hello msjwede,

I am not sure if this question of yours concerning the marriage in turkey is for your fiance who was denied in k1 visa. Marrying your fiance is your another option to prove to the CO that you have bonafide relationship with your fiance. Although, it will need to go another process but it will be one proof of your relationship.

But then if this is for your new found one then there will be a high probability that your case will be put as a red flag in USCIS especially your latest application was just so recently. And after just one month you found new one. Say you have no plan to apply for any visa application for now, but then in time even if you apply for another route (CR1) and a different beneficiary your previous application will still be a bomb to your new application.

This is incorrect, when filed with an I130, the I129F acts as a non-immigrant spousal petition

Gregmeg - USCIS will send your petitions to NVC, you will be notified by NVC as to what your next steps are. MOST LIKELY your I129F will be closed at NVC and you'll have to follow the CR-1 path.

However if, in the tiny few cases I have seen, NVC forwards your I129F onto the consulate, you can choose then what petition to want to pursure into a visa, I strongly suggest the Cr-1 immigrant visa path
