K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSeveral Questions
Hi and welcome on board!
I am not through with the visa process yet but i can give you some answers.
Yes it's possible to change your add during the process, you will need to file a special form, sorry i dont remember the name of it but some else on here will surely tell you. You can also call the Sevice Center to change you add.
Your fiance has 6 months to enter the US after getting the visa.
Vermont is no longer as fast as it used to but we are all hoping to see some changes. USCIS is saying that K1 takes about 6months to be completed but it depends on the case itself.

You will surely get some more answers.
Good luck!

My wife came to the U.S. on a K-1 Visa...At the time we file our K-1 application we listed her 6 year old daughter. We did not pay for her itnerview because we were planning on brining her to the states at a later date. When we were at our interview at the bogota embassy, the cosulate told us that we had 1 year from date of our interview to get her dauughter an interview and visa under the same paperwork process,.,...Does anyone have any info on this process?

thanks

I thought all K2 holders must go with the K1 holder to the interview also if they are coming later? My son will also follow at a later time, dont i have to take him with me to the interview?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many NOA we have to recived ??
Hi and congrats for the first NOA!

Your fiance will receive 2 NOAs, the first one ist the notice to let you know that they are working on your case. The second one is the APPROVAL (NOA2) and that one is the most important one. You will need it for the Adjustment of Status (AOS= GC).

Good luck and much patience!!! ClockWatch2.gif

Sorry to say but i dont think that this is a place for you guys to be talking about your relationship. The whole thing seem to be a misunderstanding and you and your Lola cant talk about it? What a shame... dont you guys thing that there will be worse issues coming up after finaly being married? Life is an ongoing up and down and those ups and downs will show weather you are truly in love with each other.
You guys should stop this Kindergarden game and communicate like adults.
Loving someone means TRUST and RESPECT, this behavior doesnt show any of that.

Laura, we are calling them almost every day but they dont want to tell us anything. All they say is to the 60 days. I ran through the Forums all day and have seen so many cases with RFEs that got approved right after the Service Center received their replies. I hope that we just have a lazy adjudicator but at the same time i wonder why we got 2 touches after they've receive the reply and still no approval wacko.gif

I agree with that Julezabelle, we really have been patient and i went through the whole thing again to see wheather i can find a reason for a denial but i dont. The only thing that crossed my mind is that Mel has secret clearence (maybe wrong spelling) but he told me that this wont be no reson for a denial so i still hope that we just have a lazy adjudicator. blink.gif

Syl, most lawyers, at least good ones, will give you an initial consultation for free or for a nominal fee. So, you could try it and see if they have any good advice without committing to any contract.

With that said, I really believe at this point your better course of action is to involve Mel's Congressman. He can do that for free and will likely have better results.

Remember if he's tried with one congressman, and they weren't helpful he another congressman and a state senator he can turn to for help. If you go to their websites they have the forms you need to complete in order for them to make an inquiry.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck. You have been waiting wayyyyy too long!

Thank you so much! I told Mel the same thing but he things that a lawer will be better. However i will try to prepare the letters for his congressmen and when he comes on Dec. 07 he will send them off. I am still praying to hear something befor then though.

good for you, hope is the best thing ... i am on it, but not on timeline

QUOTE (jundp @ Nov 18 2007, 11:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Of course it's not 100% accurate and it's not related to USCIS, however I find it helpful. If for nothing more than to give me a bit of hope. The uscis.gov site hasn't shown any movement in months...it's still indicating that the CSC is processing petitions dated April. It has been saying that since July. Clearly this isn't the case since we know that people here have been approved who filed in early July. So, this gives me hope.

no even 20% accurate! hope is good we all are living on hope...

One thing I will never do is give up hope. Not just that I get well someday, although I do hope and pray for that. What I refuse to give up hope about, is that I am here for a purpose. I will never give up hope that I will one day see the blessing, and see the purpose, in what I now can only see as suffering. I believe in my heart that we are all here for a very important reason, it’s just that many of us aren’t quite sure what that reason is, and that’s o.k. We just can’t give up hope that one day we will see the light, and it will all make complete sense to us….on my dark and sad days, that is what I try to remember.

with all my respect, vj timeline is the seam uscis timeline = BS

The timelines are very helpful and it gives info about what other on HERE are going through. NOBODY forced you to update your timeline so chill out and let others be as they let you be!
God bless

QUOTE (TracyOz @ Nov 28 2007, 02:17 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Just as an FYI - especially for those who haven't thought of this (or the need for the marriage cert. <grin>)
ESPECIALLY for the female - the marriage certificate (along with the divorce decree - which is needed by BOTH parties)... helps to show the chain of name changes (eg: from birth, marriage, divorce back to maiden name if appropriate)..

Honestly folks... if in doubt... GET IT ANYWAY... better to be safe than sorry (and that goes both for the USC and the O/S beneficiary) I would MUCH prefer to have MORE paperwork in front of them than not enough and get an RFE for it - kwim?

have a GREAT day
Tracy
