yeah i agree! I think now that ive completed the Bio, I can relax till the end of the year. I'll only freak out if I receive an RFE, but you never know if and when that will come, so no point in stressing now!

Kinda wish hubby was in the military coz i see their approvals are sooooo much faster!! Either that, or I wish the IO who is handling my case is either really new and approves immediately (and skips a few steps due to newbie ignorance) or a Pro at this and is a really really fast processor!! hahaha

Oh well... back to the waiting game! It will be a nice xmas present though!!

looking at the January filers time line;

still more than half of the January filers have not been approved yet so I am guessing we will see the first round of May approvals in mid November or mid December.

pretty long wait..

maybe October..or September :whistle:

I just think its better to forget about it now and time will pass faster...some people get approved in 3-4 months though (Vermont)...lets hope it goes well..

I also had my biometrics at Tampa yesterday and was suprised how quiet they where got there about 45min early, and was out a good 30 min before my appoinment time. I was the only person in there at the time for biometrics, big diference from, last time It took about an hour because so many people were in there.

Yay to Tampa..
last time was long wait too, but it was in OH...I wish we are still there, just to be under Cali instead of Vermont :rofl:

Still no biometrics for me, despite my NOA1 date from CSC being May 5th. I originally filed for my AOS after the K1 marriage through the VSC as I used to live in New York. Is anyone else here filing at a new service center? I wonder if there's a delay because they need to have paperwork etc transferred?

Could anybody please be so kind to answer my question. We moved to a new address in June 2010 after I got my 2 year green card about 8 months. I did fill in online for the form AR-11 (non U.S citizen)on 06/30/2010 within 10 days of moving and got online confirmation number form USCIS but forgot to mail form I-865 for my husband (sponsor)to USCIS. Now we are going to apply for my 10 year green card in July 2011 then I realized I forgot to mail form I-865 for my husband. Can we still mail the form I-865 for my husband (sponsor) next week? Should he fill in the date "Effective date of Change of Address": 06/30/2010 so it would be the same date of my form AR-11 but the date for signature is 05/16/2011?

Should I send USCIS a copy of the deed of the house that showed both our name as husband and wife and the date we bought the new house and move in together to prove that we are together the same time and we are expecting a baby soon?

I am so worried. Please be so kind to help me!!! Thank you so very much!!!

Hey don't worry, We just mailed ours 2 weeks ago and we actually moved more than 8 months. In many topics here that you shouldn't worry about it much, you're not the fist one who forgot to. When you mail the package include all the important papers that shows both of you are in the same address.

Looking at a few of the other threads, it does indeed appear that CSC simply is that fast! There's only one day between one December filer's mailing date and the date on their NOA1.

AOS was also fairly swift through CSC. Sorry for all of you filing at VSC!

indeed, we moved to NC 2 years ago from OH...ahhh and OH is under CSC :crying:

and we are moving AGAIN to FL, and its VSC too :blink:

My husband was in the Military and he just got out, thats why we move alot :wacko:

now we don't have the address in FL because we don't have a place yet, so we just used a friend address and we attached a letter explaining that to them, I'm hoping things go smoothly :innocent:

wow we have more people :dance:

We did not get any affidavits neither, our package is heavy already...we used alot of the bills over the years of our marriage just to proof that we were living together, although its not on our both names but has the same address. We dont have a phone family plan because both of us were in different states, and they cant combind two regions in one plan..so we will be writing a letter explaining that.. B-)

we included taxes, properties in both names, pictures, insurance, bank account and military IDs.

Our window would be this Thursday but most likely we will be sending the package Saturday...I am too planning to travel, in august..

for my best knowledge the letters are not required but if you don't have enough evidence you might wanna send it. I sent my papers without any letters, we sent a big package (im a may filer so i did not get any response yet)

Bank account with both names
house lease
bills for the last 2 years
copies of tax returns
health insurance (both names)
car titles(both names)
house title (both names)
some pictures
copy of my green card
copy of driver license
christmas cards (with both names from us and to us)

thats what I remember now.

Anybody Has A Fiancee/Spouse From KSA?

Dose that mean your really need to get permission from Saudi Arabia first before marrying even tho you don't have it when going through the CR-1? Even tho I understand you can't live or go to Saudi Arabia together without there permission or you'll get such a huge fine.

Me and my husband (Saudi) thought it be best if inshallah when we get through the CR-1, AOS, then Citizenship inshallah. We would go up to Saudi Arabia together to actually meet his family finally as US citizens through the Saudi family visa or when we do Hajj. Since I won't be able go there nor can his family go out and see us because his family is so big. Everyone takes care of each other of getting around and doing errands or take them to school. Nor do they have the income to leave work that their trying to support there families up there.

I just don't want to get into trouble for not getting the permission when doing the CR-1 visa process, which is such a long process and a stupid one to make it hard to marry foreigner nor is it worth it because most of the time they just trash the documents. You must be rich and know such high people.

My husband is not even blood Saudi, but his grandfather is moved over to Saudi Arabia from Thailand when it was so easy back then to get citizenship from Saudi by knocking at your door. But not anymore. Sorry for going off topic. Just always worried about the permission thing. Nor do I see anyone on VJ who are Saudi talk about it who is going through immigration process and fearing it. Or how they deal with actually trying show pics of the families together and proof and such. When it's hard to go there or even in the US on a tour visa.

Of course it's easy to go to a third country, but not with families and can't with friends because for us we don't mix genders.

I cant speak for everyone or for the government. I think it would be up to you both and your future plans.
Does it affect the immigration process, I don't think so, it is something to do with the Saudi government not the US government. We did not go through the CR-1 visa, so I cant speak for that.

I know the permission is a headache and I can tell you it was a nightmare for us too. :bonk:

We called USCIS 12 months after we oringally filed and their call center monkey (who has no idea about what goes on and really couldn't tell me anything I did't already know i.e. they received our biometrics and that the case was still pending) told me they would forward our request to be looked into and someone would get in touch with us with 45 days. Well we got a letter on Feb. 3rd saying and I quote 'Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of this letter.' My husband called them last week because there 60 days is almost up and he asked if there was a possibility they could have lost our case because no action has been done on it since March 2008 after his biometrics were received, the agent told not to rule it out and that it has happened before.

So it's been about 14 months since we filed for the I-751 and if we don't hear anything by beginning of April I will fly up to Vermont myself.

Forgot to chage filing status on W2

As long as you file your taxes as married you should be fine. Being single just means that Uncle Sam takes more of your money. I still claim single (even though I am married) and my spouse and I get a nice check in February of each year. You get the biggest deductions if you file married 'jointly'.

Evidence of an Ongoing Relationship ....

It shouldn't be a problem IMO. Just include copies of the cards including the envelopes it you still have them showing they came from the US, the phone bills, pictures, copies of his/your plane tickets showing you visited each other, affidavits of his/your family members stating you have an on-going relationship.

Thats what we included when my spouse filed for his and it was approved. Good Luck!

My husband immigrated here from Canada almost a year ago, under a K1 Visa, we are now awaiting status of adjustment. We just made our minds up that we want to move to Canada approx 2-3 years from now. Does he apply for Dual Citizenship and WHAT do I apply for? :blink:

Has anyone else done anything similar to this?Esp US/Canada folks.
