You guys have 2 January filers (Vermont) who got their GC in 2 months...are they military or something?

Yes it's three years from the date on your first green card .... The date you entered POE.

But you can send the application 90 days before...but from looking at other application timelines... The interview is only after the 3 year period is complete.... Hope that helps.

Sure did, thanks...I also found a calculator in the USCIS website

See you all in few months ;)

Do you know guys if its safe to travel with i551 stamp in my passport ? If my application will be deny while I m going to be outside of US ???

I traveled outside the US with the extension letter twice, no problem. Make sure to take your green card (even if its expired) and the original extension letter.
the second part of the question, I am not sure about. hopefully others can help you.
Good luck

Hi guys,
can someone correct my information please?
Date of decision 01/27/12

I was outside the country and the date 02/07 is when I received the email from USCIS.
I found my green card with the mail, being away we don't know what is the exact day it was delivered.
All the best to all

I still have not heard anything! :(
Sent mine in at the very end of April.

I haven't called USCIS yet (not looking forward to hours on hold), you think it's worth a shot?

We called, the same answer everyone got, they are working on April!
You wont be on hold for hours though...very brief hold, if you have an extra 15-20 min call, some people got the good news when they called :)

Im thinking us May filers will have to wait til January ...just by browsing at the March and April folks looks like its almost an average of 8 months to be approved. So hopefully not much longer now :) praying and keeping my toes & fingers crossed!

toes and fingers crossed   very cute!! I'll try to do the same now ...and just think, its either a christmas present or a good new year start for us May filers

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMay 2011 Filers

Well today I got all excited since a letter arrived from DHS. Unfortunately it was an RFE (still no updates or touches via the USCIS case tracker, mind).

That being said, it shows movement at least. Apparently they need more evidence of a good faith marriage, etc. Just spent three hours printing out what must be about 100 pages of stuff ready to send them tomorrow:

Copies of our joint tax returns for 2008, 2009 and 2010
A copy of our lease agreement for 2010-2011 and a lease addendum/extension for the period 2011-2012
Copies of the first page of our joint bank account statements for every month from October 2008 to December, 2011
A copy of our driver licenses and automobile insurance card showing shared address and shared insurance liability coverage.
A copy of our previous automobile insurance showing our shared address and shared insurance liability coverage.
A copy of my wife's voter registration card showing our shared address.
Copies of our telephone and internet bills for the period December 2010 to November 2011 showing our shared address
Copies of our garbage collection bills for 2011 showing our shared address.
Copies of 2010 adoption papers for our pet cats and 2010-2011 veterinary bills showing our shared address and shared liability.

If that's not good enough, I don't know what is.

Sorry to hear that NW Mushroom..I think your list looks good...
Good luck!

I called USCIS today and the lady told me that they are working on April  "better than February"

according to what she said we are not out of the processing time since the VSC is working on April filers...she stated that if they were working on May filers now, then we can request(Out of processing time request), which makes sense..
she did ask if im in the Military, and I'm not.

Wow...it's interesting how some people seem to get a kick out of being unpleasant and rude to the extreme. Real life is different than the website? So what's the website for? To accompany popcorn movie night on Fridays?

Exactly!!! I mean its the unprofessional way of responding what really got us :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: ...im not that bothered with the fact that I didn't get the card yet, as long as I have my extension letter, but what she said did not even make sense 12-18 months is something I never heard of, and what would the people do if the 1 year extension is no longer valid (after the 12-18 months??) I did not even bother to question that with her. I don't know if we want to waste the time calling again.

i went to anger management and im better now. well, slightly improved.

come on, USCIS! give us a may approval to distract us!

Ok so we called today because our 6 months was last week. Our experience was not the nicest, i did not expect it at all.
So the 1st person was so nice, and said because your outside the processing time im gonna transfer you to a higher agent so you can get a service request. We were transferred and the lady said you're actually in the normal processing time, we told her that the website processing time says 6 months, and she said IT IS 18 to 18 MONTHS, and the status of your case is pending! when we said that how come the website states its 6 months ? her response was ( REAL LIFE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE WEBSITE)!!!!! i was so shocked from the way she actually put her words, and then i said that even the other lady said its outside the processing time and we need a service request because its over 6 months for the ROC, she said the other agent is a lower level and she only access what you can access which is 6 months...I asked to speak with her supervisor, in a laughing careless voice tone she responses i'll check if anyone is available, she put me on hold for less than a minute and gets back to me saying, no one is here that you can speak to!! we took her name and we are sending a letter.

This was my experience, not appealing...

I see the April "Vermont filers" still only have one approval, I guess we still have a looooong wait.

I don't see us getting approval within the estimated 6 month timescale.

April VSC filer got approved...yay so we are next  1 month maybe?? at least its moving

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMay 2011 Filers

Thanks! It's great to see CSC flying although I continue to wait (almost) patiently!

When I originally filed for AOS, I was living in New York so filed at Vermont. I wonder if they need to transfer my file to CSC and that's why I am still waiting? If that's the case (and looking at how slow VSC moves), I could be getting approval at the same time as Vermont filers.

no I don't think so....ummm we filed the AOS with CSC and we moved so we filed the ROC with VSC...so from what you suggested, my file should transfer from CSC to VSC (opposite of you)..and I would be approved with the pace of CSC...it did not happen..(I wish thats true though ;) )

I hope you get your approval soon..
Congrats to everyone..and im hoping for VSC filers to hear good news, seeing that April VSC filers are getting approved.. :innocent:

it has been only three months, their processing time for I-751 is 6 months.

Thats what the UCSIS website states. but for those in CSC it usually takes less time (looking at estimated timeline in this forum for CSC applicants), and specially that some of June filers are already approved.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMay 2011 Filers

Oh, I hate this waiting too...

I have a friend who was approved for AOS in 3 months and for ROC in 3 months and she didn't care about her case at all - she didn't even set up the online update.
In my case AOS took almost 9 months. ROC is 3 months old. I'm checking the online status 2 times a week even though I know that there is nothing new there since I haven't received an email or text. :bonk:
I just wish I had my friend's patience. :innocent:

My AOS took long time too, although my husband was active duty military   we had a lawyer to do the papers...we didn't know we can do it ourselves, and he missed up my name in the application and the birthdate too  but back then I didn't really know how long it takes, people told me a year or more...I was going to school and didn't think about it really... :innocent: now that we did the package ourselves its different.. :bonk:

3 June CSC filers and 3 May CSC filers are approved - we're even

I think some CSC filers' timeline might not be updated but the majority haven't received the response yet. At least I hope I'm not the only one who hasn't received anything.

lol...at least you're a CSC :luv: ...I hope you hear the good news soon...as for VSC the Feb filers are getting approved now, so its a long wait for me :hehe: , I know that the timeline for VSC ..I just don't like waiting and *pending* status

That's what I keep checking for! Looking at CSC it's likely that we should see at least one approval by the end of the month.

I booked tickets to England for next month! So it'd be great if I received my green card before then, would save me having to carry around the NOA1. And Alex is coming too! It'll be the first time we've ever travelled together, and only the second time in my life I've flown with someone else (I've done so many solo flights).

Im sure you'll get it then
Im leaving next week, and I don't mind carrying my NOA with me..I would prefer a GC but this paper will do

yeah i agree! I think now that ive completed the Bio, I can relax till the end of the year. I'll only freak out if I receive an RFE, but you never know if and when that will come, so no point in stressing now!

Kinda wish hubby was in the military coz i see their approvals are sooooo much faster!! Either that, or I wish the IO who is handling my case is either really new and approves immediately (and skips a few steps due to newbie ignorance) or a Pro at this and is a really really fast processor!! hahaha :bonk:

Oh well... back to the waiting game! It will be a nice xmas present though!!

ugh ...my husband got out of the military 1 week before filing :bonk:
