K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApproved! Here comes the questions. Please help

Our application was approved on Dec 5. Much earlier than we anticipated. We only waited two and half months! We hope that someone in this forum can help us with this. My fiance currently holds a B visa and would like to make a visit in the next month. We are worried that the custom official will give her a hard time as she enters the US. Keep in mind that she is still going to go back to her country after. Perhaps our worries are sprung up from countless days of waiting and anxious moments. Has anyone entered the US with a B visa while their I129F has been approved? -Thanks for your help

S :)

The usual answer is if the fiance/e can prove strong ties to the country to show they will return, they can usually get in. Hope it works out for you.

I plan on flying to the UK over the holidays to see my Buxton Babe. Three days after I get back she will arrive for a visit with her daughter. She has been given a letter from her boss and will be carrying certain goverment ID that should help in case she is questioned.

Her trip ws booked and paid for before we read the warnings, hence the letter.

My Fiancee landed in florida this afternoon and went through immigration with only a minor hitch. All those who listed hotels as place of lodging went through without further questioning, those with private addresses were asked a couple of questions. In her case "Who are you staying with? Ans; A friend" (Engagement ring on finger) What is your occupation?, Ans; A nurse. Welcome to Florida.

I was in England over the Christmas period. We have plenty of Airline tickets, but will have to start taking more photos.

Thanks for the re-assurances.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. If it was against the law to travel, I would really be worried. But the need for my fiancee to make an informed choice overides any fear of a POE officer having a bad day.

As I said, the NON refundable tickets were booked and paid for before we found the warnings. My fiance tried to cancel and was told NO.

Also she has a weeks vacation booked. I recognise the expertise on this board and respect the viewpoints. However I think the risk is worth it for my fiance to find out where I live, work, worshsp, and who my friends are, before she gives up all she has and land here.

When she lands, we would have been 2 months into our KI process, with another 4 to go. I am hoping reasonableness along with all the documentary proof suggested will suffice. If it does not, she would have lost nothing.

I also plan to go back to the UK in Feb 07 for a Joan Armatrading concert that BB has bought tickets for. I am trying to keep busy while I wait for the NOA2.

Hopefully, proving an ongoing relationship will not be a problem for us.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresvisit the US during K-1 application process
My Fiancee returned to the Uk on Friday evening after a weeks visit. She came armed with the required letter and other proof of strong ties to the uk, none of which was asked for.

She feels that the only reason she was selected for further questioning was because she gave a private address for where she was staying. She was asked her occupation, and who she was visiting, she replied " Friends and Nurse", the POEO said " welcome to the Usa.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProcessing Times?

Unfortunately, there is no one here that can give you a definite time frame due to the individuality of each person's case. You can view the Processing Dates for your specific service center for a better idea.

Processing Dates for: District Offices & Service Centers

You cannot be serious!!

Using the above site to estimate processing dates will surely drive one to depression.

OOPS, Sorry!...... I just read your name and details  ...... you got me good

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA-2 Approved!!!!!

Earlier today we received a touch and about 15 minutes ago we got three NOA-2 emails saying we had been approved!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Betty. Man, we are so pumped!!!!! I only returned from Arequipa yesterday after a 42-hour oddessy (thanks to a closed airport) and I should be in bed right now but somehow I don't think that I'm going to get a lot of sleep tonight.

Suddenly, it seems like Betty & I together here in the US is much closer to being a reality than a dream. Life is really freakin' good at this particular moment!

Congrats to you both.

At last a November filer from CSC is approved, Happy days are here again.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCeremonial wedding

The K1 is actually almost through, we are just waiting for the interveiw, so at this point, the K3 is not an option. The main reason we want to have a ceremony here is because we don't want her family to miss out on the wedding. Could a non-binding ceremony really cause problems? How would anybody know? Anybody have any experience with this?

Not wishing to be too hard on you, but with all the wisdom from the above posts, why are you still undecided. How would anybody know? Its the American goverment we are talking about.
Do the right thing, keep the K1 Legal.

Best wishes.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow long does it take for your case to get into the computer?

I am thinking about delaying sending in my petition to avoid any problems at the POE when my fiance visits the US in mid-February. I thought maybe if I sent it right before, it wouldn't be in the system yet and they wouldn't ask him about it when he comes. He has proof of ties to his country (letter from his employer who he's been with for 3.5 years, bank statements, pay stubs, proof of ownership of two cars in the UK), but I am still nervous he will be turned away or something at customs and it's the last time I'm going to see him for possibly many months!

When should I send it if he comes on February 16th? Any suggestions? Or should I just send it whenever and not worry too much about denying entry?

File your petition NOW and read the post below.
http://www.visajourn...mp;#entry608775

Some will advise against it, but take note of the couples experiences that have actually visited the USA after filing.

I hear you all. I was thinking the same thing also.It seems as if CSC has come to a grinding hault.Maybe they came up with a holiday that they are not telling us about. :clock:

I too feel quite deflated since I say a couple of November 14th NOA2 approvals (71+72 days) on the 24/25 January 2007, Since then there does seem to be a standstill. I am now at the 77 day mark, but I have hope that next week this time I will be a lot closer.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProcessing TImes

Where your wife or SO is from does not matter. And as to approvals they come in the order they come in, be patient. Some filings after yours will be approved first so don't get upset. You filed less than 90 days ago. You still may have a while to wait. Not much comfort in my answer but that is the way it is here. As to the website not changing, that is normal No activity and then one day, boom, you will see a change. Don't worry or get to bent out of shape. It is too long a process for that.

My NOA1 is the same date as yours, I am patiently waiting.

Please help us to help you by completing your timeline.

Hi F-Guy glad to see you are still trying to keep up with this.

I had printed up last weeks list and filled in the few approvals that there was. There has been such little activity this month for November filers.

The November link did not open for me, but the december one did.

Thought it was going to happen on Valentine's Day once we got *touched*. Nope. Now, we've been *touched* again today and still waiting (less and less patiently)!
So much for the attorney's (and I quote) "they (USCIS) go through and pick out the one's from attorney's to approve first, because they're more likely to include all pertinent docs!" GRRRRRR

Your attorney seriously told you that? They sure sold you on their services, didn't they?

Yep mine went clear to March 8 i think it was and wont move :crying:

When I do a search for timelines similar to mine, it shows 17 individuals (up from nine) with a similar NOA1 date and USA to Uk.
Out of these 17, seven has NOA2 with an average date of 77 days between NOA's. I am now past the 77days.
