K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Packet 3 wrapup questions	Hello, I am in the homestretch here and as I completed packet 3, I had the following questions and need opinions. Form 156 asks if someone else completed the form and needs a signature. Since I am completing them for my Thai fiancee, signing it and then scanning them to her, I wondered if scanning is ok or if I need to sign and post them to her so that they are the originals. I was married before and I have my divorce papers as required in packet 1. In packet 3, it asks for marriage papers and I wondered if a copy of my original marriage certificate is required. I do not have it and was curious how other members have handled this. Finally, what is standard for the I-134? Do I include bank statements and employer letter only or just a copy of my tax returns? She went into embassy and a woman checked her packet 3 and told her what was complete and hat was missing. She had to complete one form and then continued on the process. At the window for the interview, my fiancee gave three notebooks and a few forms to the officer behind the glass. 1--medical clearance 2--photos of our time together in Thailand to prove we were together along with copies of my tickets to Thailand, and 3--msn chatlogs,4--Thai cell phone bills from. 5--police clearance. the man then looked through the paperwork and asked the following questions: 1. How did you meet your fiance? 2. How many time he visit? 3. How did he find you? 4. How often you chat? 5. He has children? 6. His children to come to Thailand? 7. Do you have children? 8. How often you talk each other? 9. How you contact him? 10.When was the first time he came to Thailand to meet you? 11. When was the second time he came to thailand to meet you? 12. You submit your AOS package and include EAD/AP. I've heard that the EAD/AP stuff comes within 2 months. So technically in less than 3 months you Guys can be of sampling the delights of the orient. apparently i do not understand the process. she is coming to the usa in november and we will marry in december. we then file for aos --adjustment of status but then what is ead and ap? what else needs to happen?	westmeetseast	Male	Thailand	2012-08-23 22:43:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	It's not meant to be rude. Just a general observation.	I have read the same topic asked multiple times but I understand the reason it is being asked.    The internet has 1,000s of responses and can say contrary things so it feels safer to come to a community of people who have done the exact thing you are trying to do and are members to learn and help others.   English is not everyone's first language on here and even for educated English speakers the content can be confusing.  I just received approval (twice) for the same AP I-131 and yet never received a card even when the USCIS website said it was sent.  Why? because I received an I-512 combination card.  I did not even know they existed, they weren't on the application that is part of the process (I-485, I-765, and I-131 together) and so I know they are unexpected twists and turns.    Also, when I have posted question A because the information on the packet wasn't clear some of the answers weren't clear.  In other words just because a question is answered doesn't mean it answered the question and might need to be repeated.   Part of the reason people post is for reassurance.  They may know the answer and yet they see people with the same file date get documents before them and the uncertainty sets in.  Sometimes they ask a question to verify they are correct because the lack of information from the USCIS can cause doubts in even the most prepared and confident applicants.   Is there some laziness or repetition? Yes but that is why a community like this is so helpful.  For the most part we are patient understanding and willing to explain multiple times if necessary to assist others in achieving their dream.   I see it is a frustration to you and the solution is simple, don't read the duplicates.  There are others on here who it does not bother and they will answer the questions to help. We all have our pet peeves and this is one of yours and that is fine but it won't change and I am not sure it should.  The open arms aspect of this community is what makes it special and unique. I know that you have to have your medicals done before your interview and that they are valid for six months. If they is a second interview, it would be if your case goes to AP which is a review of your case. Pray that you never go to AP ever. There is only one interview. There is great information and people here that will help you make sure your documents are in order. But you're not alone.   They approved a lot of apps quickly, but now they are slow in transferring. Probably because they have no time frame to work under now. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	NVC WAITING TIME TO GET NVC CASE 8 WEEKS!!!!!HELP	My NOA2 approval was 8-1-2013 and I'm still waiting for my NVC#.   I call every day but they won't even lift a finger until I hit 8 weeks and then maybe after that I can get 2nd tier support at USCIS.   Sorry about your wait, but it may be a while.   You may be approved sooner, be patient. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	DS160 question for a rescheduled interview after deadline 10-7	My fiance is now worried that we need to fill out the new DS160 online. We originally had our interview scheduled to take place on 10-22 and we needed it to be moved to 10-25 because of her medical.   I originally scheduled her interview on the date 9-23-2013, this is before the 10-7-2013 deadline as stated below. ___________________________________________   NOTE: For K visa cases in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7th, 2013, one of the following situations exist: The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview. The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing. The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so. ____________________________________________   The issue is that I when I rescheduled the interview to the day 10-25 I did the rescheduling on date 10-8. Past the deadline.   Does that now put me into the group of people that must now fill out the online DS160? Philippines	Flights from US to Philippines	I flew to the Philippines in March from Seattle for $890...now I can't find anything this summer under $1500   Does anyone have any tips for flying to Cebu or Manila from the west coast? I'm in Seattle so I flew Korean air the last time.   I heard that the Philippines had their FAA rating increased and that will allow for direct flights from US carriers...but I'm not sure when that will take effect.   I'd like to fly back this summer, but if I can save a few dollars then that's even better.   I'd rather fly into Cebu, but I'll fly into Manila if the price is right.   Any tips you might have would be great. I wasn't looking for a Filipina when I found my fiance, it just happened the way it happens anywhere; two people hit it off and have compatible personalities.   From visiting my fiance and being around her family I was amazed at the true sense of family with them. I felt more at home there than I have anywhere. She's a person I like first as a best friend, then she's a woman I love. I guess that's the way it should be.   You can find love anywhere in the world and the reasons are too numerous to even explain.   I'm at home with her.
