But without receipt numbers that the supervisor at Vermont can look up its just "hear say." Well, I think they are just trying to not-so-politely shut you up. Don't get off their backs until you get a clear answer! Igor's list is a hearsay? Sure, you must have made it up yourself to make them look bad. And I'm pretty sure the supervisor in Vermont has the ability to look up last 20, 50 or 100 approved cases and see the filing dates for those. Ask your contact person at the Senator's office to point it out to that wonderful supervisor. Good luck! Thanks for your encouragment!!! Def not gonna get off their back. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July '08 filers	Hello July filers! First of all, I would like to say congrats to those who have gotten approvals. Wish I could say the same! I am a June Filer with NOA1 date June 5th. We have not had an RFE or anything, no news, and last touch was June 26th. I have contacted my senators about our case. I have told them that contrary to what Vermont tells them, they have begun approving July and even August filers. My Senator has asked if I could get a receipt number from a July or August filer who has there NOA2 already (and who has not been expedited) so they can further look into this issue. I'm sure this is a strange request, but they are just trying to follow up because Vermont obviously is not honoring the first come, first serve promise that they make. Which we all know has been an ongoing issue. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble or anything like that. And I'm truly happy for those of you who have already gotten approvals. I would not wish this long wait of no answers upon anyone. So basically, I'm just asking for help. Really trying to be proactive and get Vermont on the ball! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	USCIS Status updates	My fiance went for his interview on December 1,2011 and our case was returned to USCIS for processing: Today I received a text letting me know that the USCIS has updated my case status. I go to the website and look up my case and it tells me that my case has been reaffirmed. Great news! Tears of joy because I have been waiting six months for my case to be received by USCIS. Five hours later I get another text message of a status update and this one says my case is in review. What!!!!!! So I call them and they tell me they dont know which one is right and that I just have to wait and see. Anyone else had anything like this happen before???? The lady told me that if it is in review it could be a year before they they finish reviewing it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2008 Filers!	Well as it turns out, our visa did in fact go to NVC, so as I thought, the woman at the VSC call centre was talking complete BS about it going direct to Prague!! In fact, even though they have mailed us an NOA2, they have no idea they did it. Can anyone help with a question about the affidavit of support? I returned to Prague from the USA in August and have stayed here since. Kyle was out with me for my brother's wedding in August, and brought the I-134 and all corresponding documentation with him. Will it still be valid for an interview in December or will we have to redo it? I finally have police cerificates not only from my home country of South Africa, but also from England, Germany and Czech Republic - having lived in each for more than a year. It took 5 mins from CR, 2 weeks from Germany, 6 weeks from SA and 7 weeks from England! Interesting... I'm so excited, its nearly time to return. Hopefully I will get an interview in Prague really quickly as CR just had their tourist visas to USA waivered and the embassy shouldn't be so busy now. It seems strange that every other NOA2 would go through NVC and ours not. Anyway, we will phone around next week and maybe we will find out where our case really is. For the moment it seems to have disappeared.. Wow, the first weekend since 27th June of not constantly checking Igor's list, USCIS and visa journey every hour for our NOA2. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2008 Filers!	Has anyone heard of Vermont sending the approved K1 application directly to the embassy and not to NVC? We just phoned Vermont to ask if our approved NOA2 had gone to NVC, and they said it had (as our letter stated) been sent directly to the Prague Embassy instead. According to the woman we spoke to, they have the choice of sending it to NVC or the embassy. We asked to her repeat herself a few times to make sure, and she seemed 100% assured that it was normal procedure. It is great if it has gone to the embassy, we can move things forward much faster, and I will call them Monday to check. But we are just concerned that this is unusual, and dont want any hitches in the procedure. Anyone else had this experience?	saffa	Male	South Africa	2008-11-21 13:00:00

I hope you could help me, my fiance called last month our lawyer about the status of our K1 Visa application which was received by the Vermont office last May 25, 2012. And he assured us that our application approval (NOA2) will be within a few weeks of November and since then we are still waiting for it. It had been more than 6 months already and based on the timelines of the members here ours should have been approved within the days of November 20 to November 26. What should we do? I asked our lawyer to check on the status of our application via email today, but still I am a bit worried. Hope you could give me some advise/information based on your experience. Philippines	Sending regular money to fiancee. Good or Bad for Interview ?	It wouldn't hurt if you send money to her regularly, it shows you can support her. Philippines	Help! Sending a package!	My husband send me a necklace too. He mail it on USPS with tracking and he also states what's inside. He also send me another package and it contains CD's he burn for me. Now, the CD's arrived but not the necklace. What he did he complain to USPS and the Post Office in the Philippines and tells them he wants the package back. Guess what, I got a note in the mail that I have a package there and I have to claim it. When I got there they let me sign first that I receive the package good, they would not give it to me if I don't sign first. After I sign they gave it to me but it was opened. I don't think I will have got it if my husband didn't complain that he wanted it back. So maybe you could give it to her when you visit her there or when she arrives here. But because his place is a small town,, car is needed and he cant afford to buy a car for me coz he still paying for his car loan, so i cant find ways to find a job.. I dont demand him for financial.. He knows i just stayed at home taking care of him and her 18 yrs old daughter like cleaning her room, wash her clothes, fix her bed etc etc.. His daughter decided to live with us when i get there.. He said im not socializing with his friends and family? WHY he say that? Him and his friends, nieces, nephews used to hang out in a bar drinking , etc.. Do u think this is the right place for the married couple to hang out? He just think of his hapiness and ignore what makes me happy. I mean he married me he should focus his attention with me coz im all alone there and the place is boring.. He cant even invite me goin to watch a movie till i say so.. Do u think u will be happy stayin at home 24 hrs? I never ask him money to buy something for myself coz i understand him..i just wait till he ask what i need for my personal. Philippines	marriage troubles	A job really helps like what van2006 said. For me, it's hard especially the first year of marriage, asking money to your husband. I'm so use of earning my own money and even while still in the PI and we were dating I feel secure if I pay my share too. It makes me crazy when I got here we're just living in a one bedroom apartment (really a bachelor pad; don't even have any kitchen stuff and utensils imagine cutting a really big chunk of meat with a very dull butterknife), I can't go out because I still haven't got a license here and didn't know I could use my PI license until I got my DL here, don't have friends (though I got a sister who is in a different state that call me up sometimes, which helps a bit), our internet is dial up (as oppose to when I was in PI we got a broadband internet at home). I remember I clean the apartment twice or thrice already in a day, prepare the food to distract me out of my melancholy and still feel so bad because I can't seems to get out of my loneliness. So everytime my husband came home, I'm dress to go out. Even when he's tired from work I force him out 'coz I'm about to climb the walls!!! I feel like picking a fight with him. I don't enjoy shopping much (that time at least he-he ;D Now I do!) because I always convert the price to pesos and it's too expensive to buy. But when he introduce me to the PUBLIC LIBRARY, I fell in love!!! Hehehe I love to read books, just like my husband and I could have live there. I just about horde every books of my favorite authors I could find. Bad thing was you can only check out 15 books. I was done reading that after a week and a half. This is what kept me sane plus I got a job. Sure, it takes time for you to get one like 6 months to a year but that's how it is usually (more so now even). So, if your wife has some hobby like reading books, sewing etc. that might help her. Chatting with the family back in PI helps too! The title of this thread sounds insulting to all filipinas...as if you are saying or you sounded that filipinas are not capable to learn or can't be taught how to drive. If your wife is a filipina and has the difficulty to drive, don't generalize that filipinas are like that. I would rather suggest to rephrase this title of this threas to Can "MY WIFE"... instead of Can "A FILIPINA". Please be sensitive. (To the moderators: What do you think about this?) I am a Filipina. I learned to drive and got my driver's license here in the US thru my hubby who taught me how to drive. We did not hire any professional driving instructor. Filipinas are not excluded on the ability to drive a car or be taught to drive. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to say "my wife" vs. generalizing? Yeah, not all are like that. Some of us are quite easy to teach how to drive. I already know how to drive in the Phippines. My father taught us sisters how to drive in our car when we were still 15 years old, we can also drive a motorcycle. But we didn't get our Philippines driver's license until we were 18yrs old. Since at that time 16 years old can't drive there in the Philippines it's only now that it's okay. My husband doesn't have any problem with me when he let me get the feel of how it is driving here in the US. I feel like I was just driving a bump car actually because I'm use to using a stick shift. Driving an automatic car is just a walk in the park. After driving around for a bit in the neighborhood I was ready to tackle going to the interstate and everything was peachy. My husband commented that I was just cool as a cucumber behind the wheel. Also the road is not too tight like what we have in the Philippines and the traffic is not as bad too. And since most of the time people actually follow the driving rules here it was pretty nice not to be too agressive in getting your space and also very quite, I don't hear a whole lot of honking horn of their car. Philippines	Going to interview with fiancee?	My then fiance, now husband was with me during our interview. He only got 7 days time off. He arrived in Manila on Friday the day before our interview date. Everything went smooth, actually, there's not that much question. I've only been asked the name of petitioner, his work, pictures, how we communicate and where did we meet. He asked consul if they could expedite the release of my visa bec he is taking me with him when he leave on Wed (He got a day to rest on Thursday), he doesn't want to leave me when he goes. The next day of the interview we went back to Cebu and say goodbye to my family then went back to Manila the following day to wait out my visa. Passed 12 noon of Wed we got our visa, so it only took us almost 3 days to get my visa after the interview (Sun doesn't count), and I went to DFA to get my PDOS sticker. Already done with my CFO seminar before so I only need the PDOS sticker. I was out there by 3PM. We check out from our hotel then went to the airport and got me my ticket the same flight as his. So it's possible to bring your fiancee with you on a 10 days timeframe. And nope my husband is not in Military. ....But yeah, this happens year 2005. So I don't know if it takes longer now.	J.W.
