PhilippinesAll pregnant Mommies
Congrats to all Mommies... smile.gif

Just join here recently, want to join in this discussion and share mine too. smile.gif My baby just turn 7months old. I tried breastfeeding her but I don't have any milk going out, I have to pump and my milk only lasted for 3 months. My baby also don't know how to suck, the lactation support at the hospital said she got a recess lips and having difficulties on latching on to my nipples. So my baby got a special bottle where I put my milk/her formula.

Here's my baby's pic when we got home from the hospital.

PhilippinesShipping Documents to the Philippines
Yes JAC has a good service. It's the usual courier used by some of my Filipino friends when they do online shopping. Since Toys/Babies R Us, Victoria Secrets, Barnes and Noble, Best Buy etc don't shipped directly to the Philippines. What they do is have JAC order the items for them and send to JAC's US Branch (and yes they uses the NY branch too). Once the items are received by the JAC US Branch, they will email/text you that they have the item ready to be shipped. Usual wait is 2 weeks. Not bad.

Hello! How do you know if you have had any recent touches if the website isn't working? Do you just call to check it out? How often do most of you call or check online? I was assuming emails would come to update us but "zero" have appeared. Tell me please, what does it mean if the operator says "we are workig on your case"? Is that a canned message? Thank you.

Samir

You dont say on your timeline that you received your NA01. Once you've received that you are looking at around 6 months.
We still havent received ours!!! 6 months and STILL waiting!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWhen to contact Congressman?
Hey guys! I have seen multiple threads about people contacting his/her congressman. I was just wondering at what point this should be done.
I know I have saw a lot of people say to do this once you have been waiting for 6 months. I just didn't know if that was still the case since the
processing times have been changed once again. Next week will be our 6 month mark and we have not heard anything....no RFE (thank GOD) and no NOA2.
We have also not had a touch since June 26 (not sure that this means anything). I have called the USCIS several times in the past couple of weeks...the
first two times they would not allow me to be sent through to the next level of support. The third time that I called I spoke with an immigration officer who
basically said that our case was still pending and "these things could take up to 9 months." But obviously this is not true because they are already approving
July and August filers. Any advice or anyone that has been through this long wait?
Krystle + TiagoFemaleBrazil2008-11-28 22:39:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsShoule I be worried????
Not to be negative, but I am past 6 months of waiting and it has done no good calling USCIS. All they tell you is that they are still working on files with dates in March.
I have even contacted Senators and I get the same BS run around. The current processing times say March 7 so until this changes there is not much anyone seems to be able to do.

Hey,
we are here waiting still too.

I have already posted it a few times, but have you already tried an infopass appointment???
We had one last week and they could actually tell us that yes we are late but we have already been assigned to an officer Nov 13 and that we should hear something within 2-4 weeks from now.
Those people cannot speed up the process (however they can put a service request for you in) but have more information than the call center agents or the online platform. And if you ask, they will probably also tell you if you got stuck in some checks or if there is anything wrong with your case!! We did it. She said, for now, she doesn't see why there should be anything wrong with our case. It's just a little late which might be due to the officer's vacations etc.

Infopass offices are in every major city. Make an appointment on the USCIS webpage a few days in advance and go there with your NOA1. It really helped us to know what's going on and you finally get to speak to a life person. Even though she tried to tell us the "we are aprproving March right now"-sentence, she was reasonable when my faincé told her what we know and that this is not true. She just said "hmm...okay, true." Be polite, reasonable and I am almost 90% sure they will try to help you. If not, try a different office!

I am sorry to hear about your case, but there are a few june filers still waiting. Seems we all got a little late in processing time to me.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I checked into the Infopass and the nearest office is in Memphis which is about a 6 hour drive. So not very feasible at the moment. Glad it worked out for you!
I'm just so over the system and there are obvious changes that need to be made. So, if there is the slightest bit of chance that I can get these Senators to listen and take a "closer" look into it, then all the wait will be well worth it for me in the end. So now I have something to keep me occupied while I wait......LETS MAKE CHANGE PEOPLE smile.gif

Heather Downs (who I spoke with)
phone # 865-545-4253

If anyone is willing to help, pleeeeeeeeease do. Thank you all so much already just for your time in reading this smile.gif
And if your willing, if anyone makes a contact to Heather, can you just send me a vague message telling me that you did. Just so that I know they have received something. If not, no biggie. Again, only filers who have not been expedited please. Thank you.

although I know you are upset about this I know it is rough on you. I do not think anyone will want to give out their number in fear of being scammed. Why not post your senators number and whom you have talked to with your name
and let those who have received the noa 2 in july or august from Vermont call them on your behalf. To me that would be safer then handing out their noa2 number.

just my two cents

This is what my Senator sent me today....

I just followed up with the Vermont Center and they informed us that they do process the cases by date. I talked with the supervisor there and she said the only reason those other applicants would have received their approval notices before you is if their case had been expedited. If this is not the case and you know this for sure, she suggests you provide us with the receipt # and name of another applicant you know that received theirs before yourself but had a later received date and they will look into this. You can email me the information if you like….

If you have an NOA1 date in July or August or later and have already received approval notice (NOA2)...pleeeeeeeease read.

First of all, I would like to say congrats to those who have gotten approvals. Wish I could say the same! I am a June Filer with NOA1 date June 5th. We have not had an RFE or anything, no news, and last touch was June 26th. I have contacted my senators about our case. I have told them that contrary to what Vermont tells them, they have begun approving July and even August filers. My Senator has asked if I could get a receipt number from a July or August filer who has there NOA2 already (and who has not been expedited) so they can further look into this issue. I'm sure this is a strange request, but they are just trying to follow up because Vermont obviously is not honoring the first come, first serve promise that they make. Which we all know has been an ongoing issue. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble or anything like that. And I'm truly happy for those of you who have already gotten approvals. I would not wish this long wait of no answers upon anyone. So basically, I'm just asking for help. Really trying to be proactive and get Vermont on the ball! Thanks for you time and anyone who may be of some help. And I'm open for any questions. Thanks!

I'm glad someone started talking about weddings! I have often wondered what other people in this situation was planning to do. I agree it is so frustrating not to be able to make a lot of plans right now. I think it would make all this waiting so much easier if I could be doing more about planning the big day. It was great to read all those posts. I'm torn right now between waiting until NOA2 to by the dress and book the church or doing the court house thing to allow for more time. Well hope everyone has a great day and there are more approvals as this week comes to an end.

We tried to email 2 senators. One said he couldn't do anything and we didn't hear from the other! How did you contact them? email, phone , letter?
Was it a state senator or US senator?
Congratulations by the way, it's a great start to a new year! good.gif

We contacted the two US senators for the state of Tennessee. I sent letters and they both contacted me by phone. Lamar Alexander's office was the biggest help...mostly continued contact via email. Don't give up....keep bugging them! And Thanks!

Wot did you write in the letter? It obviously worked! Maybe we didn't say the correct thing!? maybe.

I'm not so sure it was the letter or the fact that I refused to take "Vermont says they are still processing files with March 7 dates" for an answer. You may want to try sending a letter to both of your Senators again and call them once they have had time to get them....I actually faxed the letters and was communicating with my Senator the next day. Eventually they will all get tired of the persistence and do something....hopefully anyway. Best of luck to ya!

United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee
on Immigration, Refugees, & Border Security
224 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510

To the Honorable Members of this Subcommittee:

As a law-abiding US citizen, I, along with my fellow members of visajourney.com, request your assistance with our USCIS petitions. At present, the time frame for reviewing cases is nine months or longer. Despite published announcements to the contrary, many of us have been separated from our spouses and children (on whose behalf we filed I-130 and I-129F petitions) for a painful amount of time, time which cannot be recovered. After following the guidelines posted on the USCIS website and paying all applicable fees, we are waiting in suspense for an approval (the Notice of Action 2 – NOA2), and this is the source of our dilemma—an inordinate amount of waiting time and no clear explanations for delays. Hence, we ask you, Honorable Members of the US Senate, to investigate these seemingly negligent periods of inaction.

The first step for our family members is to submit the petitions to establish the existence of a relationship. Then, once approved, our petitions and all documents submitted are forwarded to the National Visa Center for further processing. As you are aware, the next phase is the embassy approval with required medical examination and interviews. Unfortunately, many of us have not moved past the first step because there have been no updates sent to us. In particular, many of us are still waiting for NOA2 from the Vermont Service Center (VSC). Please see attached spreadsheets. While the California Service Center seems to be processing petitions at an increasingly rapid rate, VSC is months behind. Why is there such a major difference between these two processing centers? Are there more adjudicators at CSC? Moreover, some petitions that are received months after others are processed faster. When questioned about this inequity, telephone operators at the USCIS give a standard response: “It depends on the case; each case is adjudicated differently.” Then when we ask about our individual petitions on behalf of our qualifying relatives, we receive the generic, “We’re within our processing time.”

For many of us, the entire process thus far has proven to be quite discouraging. We cannot get accurate, specific responses to our inquiries, nor do we receive the “first in, first out” treatment we were promised. Hence, we need and request your assistance. Perhaps an inquiry from your committee will garner more substantive, more accurate responses. Perhaps there is a way to change the process, so national security is not comprised, and families are not unnecessarily separated from their loved ones indefinitely. Attached, please find a copy of NOA 1 for our petitions (I-130 and I-129F). Below, see our receipt numbers given by USCIS. It is with great respect for your charge on this committee that I, along with many others, request your inquiry into this matter. Hopefully, all of us will receive the NOA2 and continue positively on the path of reunification with our family members. Equally, we hope that others will benefit from our proactive measures and their processing time will be much shorter and more humane.

Respectfully yours,

Hey April Filers! Congrats to all of you who are moving right along. Just wondering if I could get some advice. We received our NOA1 on June 5, so hoping that the NOA2 arrives soon smile.gif (Trying to be as prepared as possible) I had a question about the I134-Afadavit of Support. I have two jobs, one of them is part time and the other is as needed (but I'm a nurse so I'm always needed...lol) This actually just changed from full-time in August. But I still meet the financial requirments. Just wondering if I should fill out two forms, listing each job on each. Or just fill out one form, and have both employers fill out separate paper work.
Also, for those of you who already have your interviews scheduled just wondering what all is necessary to have in order to get a date. Like is it possible to get a date before the medical exam and vaccinations are complete. I'm guessing the I134 and police records are the most important right?
Okay, sorry to bother...just bored and thought I would get some of these questions out of the way.
