Peachy and Varba... that is ROCKING!!!! God some of us have to get moving, no???

I have a question... I called the NVC today and usually, they finish scheduling for the second week in the month it's now what... the 15th? They guy I spoke to ( he did sound like a bit of a knob) said to call back next week as Montreal wasn't done yet.

I presume that this was to get me to STFU and GTFO, right?

it's not like he's busy doing all that stuff.

Maybe it would have some impact?

As I said before? I'm no longer willing to play the "poor Montreal, they're working so hard card..." They are screwing around with something -- we'll never know what but holy ####### to give people dates and then say, "whoops, my bad..."

Out. Of. Control.

What about poor Americana? they had a date given them about a month ago? Now it's revoked? They're CR1, btw...

God damn and there is not a thing we can do but sit back and take it like chumps.

Sorry. I'm mad FOR you guys.

Dum-dum-duuuuuuuuumm....

So then... what can it possibly mean?

They've decided to stop interviewing totally? Revoke all given interviews? Lengthen wait times.

I do realize that no one can answer these questions and they hypothesizing is pointless but... sometimes it makes me feel better...

Oh man... peachey and varba... that is horrible. #######, bigtime? It's bad enough that they're incompetent but to start lying to people about dates too?

You know what? I don't give a ###### anymore about people defending them and oh they're working hard -- I call B.S. on all that. When they start lying to people because they have their heads so far up their butts, that's quite enough with the sympathy card, I say.

This is B.S...

I am really sorry you guys. and Americana too -- that's ridiculous.

I hate to break it you guys, because I know how much it sucks to be waiting, but our interview took over 90 days to schedule. I don't think it's that uncommon, unfortuantely.

I don't really think it's fair to say that Montreal is just making people wait on purpose. They must schedule hundreds of work-based, spousal and family-based immigration visas there on a daily basis. From being on this board now for over 2 years, I can honestly say that every fall/winter, they seem to slow down a lot for scheduling. It must be because a lot of people submit their applications in the late winter/spring and they get an influx.

I'm sure they are trying their best to schedule in as many as they can, but like Udella mentioned, they work bankers hours. And, when they also need manpower to respond to every single email they get, I'm sure they get very busy. That's probably why they say it will take 4-6 months.

You guys will hear something very soon... I'm sure of it!!

Um... I am going to sound like a TOTAL dolt here... forgive me, let's move past it once it's done.

The lady I spoke to assumed that we missed our first interview because it's been such a long time.

I had to explain to her that we are simply waiting for our first interview.

Can we not contact Lee McClenny? the head of the US consulate in Montreal? Maybe he can explain to us what the hell the delay is. Just a thought. Not that I really believe that anything will come of it but it's getting a little retarded hearing people who are getting interviews NOW a week or two after completion for K1 and CR/IR1 visas and will be able to make it to the US for Christmas and stuff...

Just a thought. But what do I know?

Good theory, but I really think they have no concrete method of scheduling interviews.

I'm going to stop complaining tho. Yesterday I got back in touch with a friend from Arizona. He's waiting for his wife to come over from China, they got married in 2005 and I'm sure petitioned not long after. 8 months is NOTHING compared to 4 years :S

CR1 here with a theory??? And no, I did not get an interview for November so...

I have noticed that for the past 2 months, they have scheduled the CR1 interviews at the end of the month, not during the first two weeks of the next month, you know? I saw about 5 of our clan get interviews and they have been waiting since june so... I do believe that now they'll start doing the K1s and that they are FINISHED with the CR1 scheduling. Based on logistics and the law of averages, 5 from CR1s from this site alone has to be indicative of the total number that they have scheduled for November.

So. It's BS when they say the first two weeks of every month and I think you K1s are next.
Just a theory from someone wishing all us waiting Canadians luck.

K?

Yep. I agree. Looking at the other consulates is a lesson in punishment, that's for sure. I am not going to give notice on my jobs until AFTER the interview, my apartment, when I get the notice, probably after the medical as I can always find a place to lay my head but I won't be able to just go and get another job so...

It's just so super frustrating and to be honest? i' read this thread a lot as I feel like you guys voice all the displeasure I feel too in this wait. Especially one poster who wants to get married on January 10th? That's so far away that you'd think it would be be possible.... my heart breaks reading about her, as well as all the others.

Frustration is my predominant emotion these days...

Hey all... can a Canadian CR-1er comment here?? Just wanted to say that I too am so frustrated with the wait. I've been done with NVC since august 12th. some filers since June! We can't buy cheap plane tickets or cheap rail tickets because we don't have a date. We're going to miss our first anniversary and I don't know when i'm going to see my husband again.

I'm living in a half packed up apartment, yet I can't give notice there or at the two jobs I have. yet, all other consulates schedule dates a week or two after finishing up. THe date may be two or three months in advance but truthfully? That would be SO good. We just missed a 50% off seat sale with Air canada -- my husband could have bought his interview date flight. Via Rail is having a sale, I could have got my TO to Montreal ticket for 60$ each way... NOw?

I feel your pain, guys... I'm rooting for you all and frankly? I am just so frustrated and angry that they do this to all of us. I don't get it...

Thanks for letting me slip in here...

Don't know if it's the same for a K1, we're on a CR1 but sounds like it -- for my trips to the US, I wrote "please see attached form" and then on a separate paper, listed all of my trips to the US. 36 in total, I believe. Just made sure to write the question number and our case number at the top and bottom of the sheet.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I think putting high school and university sounds better. What did you put for the times you travelled or resided in the US? Do they allow you to use extra pages if we crossed the border more than three times?

Also, for the affidavit of support, what do we fill out for the consulate? I-864 or I-134? It says something about NVC requiring I-864 or and I-134 for USCIS??

Immigration is so confusing...............
