14 months... I should stop complaining right there! smile.gif Girl, you are one strong person, and thank you so much for the words of support. I so needed them today smile.gif

As to health insurance, I have little experience but will share what I know smile.gif. I was able to get an insurance for a 18 months for a total of almost $800. But that was probably a student discount (I was on J1 program). Now, from what I hear purchasing insurance can be really expensive. If your hubby-to-be does not have insurance as work benefits, that is something to consider during your job search. Sometimes taking a lower-paying job can be compensated by the benefits. Most companies I worked for offered insurance for both employees and their families. Usually such benefits are available after 90 days of employment.

Yes 14 months is a long time but I know you miss your love as much as I do!!!
We have to be grateful that we are Vermont filers! ( feel so bad for some people that have being waiting for almost a year!)

Thank you for the kind words. I completely agree with you! Going to the hospital here don’t cost anything! It’s amazing the prices that you have to pay in America when you get sick ! I remember when my heart stopped when I got a really bad seizure, (in florida) we had to pay the ambulance 500$ ….

You are right! I love Florida it’s like paradise on earth, but I’m just not used to hurricanes we don’t have that here!
Where is Laura’s hometown?
It’s getting expensive in America! Free health care it’s the most important thing! That is way we ware talking about moving to Sweden, I have epilepsy and I depend on my medicine to stop my self of having seizures I’m lucky enough to be able to have my family sending me my medicine to America when I move, at least until we get everything in order!
But after that I don’t know how much I will have to pay every month to get my medicine.
Like you said before it’s scary living in another country!

For the moment I’m going to Florida but we are seriously thinking about the possibility of moving to Sweden! Things are much easier here!
What scares me the most is that florida have hurricane seasons, wish is really scary unsure.gif , and I want my future children to grow up in a safe place!

Life is good! But it could be better! Stockholm is a beautiful city with a lot of things to do! Seriously I’m getting so tired of this all situation! We started this K1 visa process back in October last year and the last time we meet was 14 months ago! So really i’m tired!
It’s just crazy because if john would like to visit Sweden he doesn’t have to go true all of this!!! Way is it so complicated just to get a visa to be with the person that you love???
I’m sorry I guess I’m just having a bad day!!!! crying.gif



#######!! 14 months is along time to be without your loved one. Just hold on Alex, this part is always the most frustrating. Once you get that NOA2 it's all systems go then. Think positive.

She's doing really good thanks Alexandra. She's a bit tired with working 6-7 days a week just now plus having 3 kids to look after lol. She's looking forward to putting them up to there dads in Philadelphia in the summer. It gives her a little break in which she needs.


I understand! Not that I have kids of my own! But I have a little sister (10 years) and a niece (7 years) that I help taking care of! it’s not a easy job!

Going great in Scotland here Alexandra. Can't complain about the weather. 2 days of rain in the last 3 weeks, so it makes a change for the sun out. As far as the crow fly's, im not too far from you. Im in Caithness, Northern Scotland, the very top near Orkney.

Alot of viking heritage here. The town I live in is called Thurso which is Scandinavian.

Was in Paris last week and there was a lot of tourist’s from Scotland!
How is Laura doing! Did she calmed down?
I took a look at your pictures… Beautiful couple! She is beautiful….

On your NOA1 there are 2 dates on the top left corner...one is the Receiving Date and the other is the Notice Date...that is the 2 dates I went with because I received the NOA1 in the mail days after.

I'm doing well Alexandra thanks. Lara is getting impatient waiting for the NOA2 lol. Told her to expect a 60-80 day wait for it. She can't understand why the immigration process takes so long.



60 -80 days is not that bad! It could be worse… we are lucky that Vermont is taking care of the application’s…

They do seem to be on a slowdown this last month or so. For what reason I dont know. There's rumours flying around with different stories. I see you filed the same time as us. I would get John to check his bank to see if it's been cashed or not.
