@LoveMyTico: If we cannot regroup, I like your idea of all of us calling one network station and I am sure they will make a story out of it. If we agree to call, we should all do it the same day and express of frustration with USCIS.

AGREED.. OK  Who's in?

What if we all regroup (all those with pending I-130) at the NBC in Lee's Summit MO and have a mass protest demanding timey service from USCIS. This would draw media attention and those stupid politians to look into our demands. I am ready to do this if we can find committed members - a large group of at least 100 people.

We should not just fold our arms and let this government agency treat us seeking legal path for our spouses this way, when they can even track illigal immigrants down.

I would love to do that but I have to save my time off for visits to Costa Rica...  hmmmm... what about everyone calling their local CBS news station. The one in Philly is pretty awesome.( CBS3) Maybe if we all call the same network, they might have a story

I feel like the USCIS had a Town Hall meeting and told every department to change the wording for all the responses.  Some offices say 12 months for processing, other offices say 6 months from the date of this response, others are saying 3-4 more months, others are saying call back on November 15th..  It is all the same  its called

"THE RUN-AROUND"   and we have no choice but to take all they dish out...  What a helpless feeling

So what are the chances that anyone will be working next week at the USCIS???

Vacations are all over the place at my job.  One girl is off all next week, I'm off the week after, and others are off all over December.  We all know how those government jobs are.   More vacation than time working, right???

I am disappointed that May and June are getting transferred and there are still April files  sitting at the NBC.

5 more days and I'm out for 11 days...

I'm afraid about the same thing. I didn't send in financial information as my name isn't on most of our financial dealings. (It's not necessary in the Netherlands because of the laws there and because my husband dealt with them, not me.)  And the files are in Dutch. My husband has the originals of our Dutch tax returns to bring to the consulate later, and I have some copies here, but I'd have to translate them, and that takes time. (Been slowly chipping away at those just in case I get a RFE.) I did send in our marriage certificate with apostille stamp (Got married in NJ), Close to 20 affidavits from family and friends, passport pages, CRBA's for both my girls, and the Dutch(international version) of their birth certificates stating both parents names on them, and 30 or 40 pictures of us together over the years with dates and explanations.

I'm hoping it'll be enough without the financial information, but preparing just in case it's not.

You're golden...  Married many years, lived together, have kids....  Tax returns

Don't sweat anything.  you're good

I sent travel itineraries (3) and 12 or so pictures of me with his family and him with my family and marriage cert. Lawyer said affidavits weren't  necessary.

I also sent phone records of how often we talk daily. It was a years worth. Also, package receipts.  There were other things too. I can't think of them off hand

my passport also shows over 20 stamps to Costa Rica

We have greeting cards, more package receipts and more phone records to bring with us to the interview   and more pictures because I flew to CR 3 times after we got married.

Also 2 credit cards that he is an authorized user. I made copies of my cards and his cards to prove its the same account.

April 24th filer - hoping our case gets touched by christmas. My husband recently moved from FL to California. I feel like this will mean a slower process for approval because everyone always has said California is the black hole of service centres. I've started to feel quite numb to it all. Hard to believe I will ever see him again!

it doesn't matter where you live, they are just transferring to even out the back log

I-601... (SIGH)

Yea, you'd think they would be processing all along and releasing the approvals in order.... But god forbid anything be done in order

Heh Tico's lady!  I am the same PD as you, April 12, and have not been transferred.  Either we are in a box together,  Or we are not being transferred and will be approved soon as well.  I did write to my congresswoman and her rep called asking for more information a few weeks back.  I told her our situation, what we are seeing on these forums, and even sent a copy of the letter that was being sent out to the President on down.  My congresswoman here in Hawaii is on one of the chairs for homeland security.  I really believe all of our voices are finally starting to be heard.  President Obama just put out (a few days back) an order that allows the wives kids and spouses of military members, vets and retirees who have in fact  overstayed their visas,  will NOT be deported but allowed to stay in country until they are adjudicated.  My wife is visiting me in the US from mid December thru mid January, hopefully that will have more of an influence as to the immigration officer letting her into the country.  Regardless,  I have a goofd feeling that You and I will have approvals in the very near future. dancin5hr.gif

Well  I do think we are in the same dusty box.      Keep me posted and I'll do the same    I have this gut feeling I won't be transferred.

I contact my Senator's office on a monthly basis and they are sick of me.  They don't even want to inquire for me anymore... Which is #######.. That is their job...  I asked the mayor of my town who is the next step up from the RUDE Senator advocates and she gave me  the number for the White House... no lie...  just last night.   LOL

I hope we get approved soon.

I still have a long road after the interview.

Do you think the transfers are interfering with the other forms that are processed at TSC and NSC?  I hope they aren't dropping one form to process the others.  When we file our waiver, I don't want them to tell me there is a backlog due to transfers from the NBC...  ya know? We already waited sooo long. Its just a shame that this part of the journey ended up being so long.  If we already had our interview and were just waiting on the waiver, I'd feel much better but we didn't even get to the NVC yet.... (SIGH)

Just found out my paperwork was transfer to Texas! Is this good or bad? Nervous

First.... can you fill in your timeline?  Are you an April filer?    What is your NOA1 date?

Have you read this entire thread? or at least the last week?  most of what has been posted is about being transferred

and being transferred is better than sitting at the NBC collecting dust.

LoveMyTicoFemaleCosta Rica2013-11-21 13:05:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril 2013 I-130 Filers

Ok, guys, so my brother who is a complete nerd and has been blessed with an awesome sense of logic and is great with numbers decided to try and put some logic into the transfers. We didn't find the logic (or maybe I didn't understans, I'm numbers impared, I can't even multiply without a calculator lol) but he got, what he says is very good info and it's pretty comforting for me.

We went on Igor's list and found that there are 110 I-130 cases with an april priority date still pending and according to the spreadsheet we have only 42 of those have been transferred ( they might be more, but we are working with this numbers).

We found that on April 2013 aproximately 50000 I-130 forms were received by USCIS.

So, following a basic math principle (according to him, not me lol) if they have transferred 40 out of 110 cases on VJ how many out of 50000 in USCIS have been transferred?

110          42

50000       X

X= 50000*42/110= 19090

So they have transferred about 20000 out of the 50000 cases from april.

This info (obtained by my super smart brother <he made me write that lol>) is not official and is just to get a sense of how things are in general.

Though I should share this with ya'll. I don't know if I feel good cause Lovemytico, Kateflossom and I are not the only ones who have not been transferred or if looking at the big picture just makes me feel like I still have a lot more waiting to do...

Pretty cool !!   it's give or take a few here and there because there are some VJ members who never ever come back and update their timelines. There is a way to see when the last time someone signed on to VJ. I would guess there are many who sign on once and create a timeline but never come back.  There are also many who post on a thread that they received an approval but never created a timeline...

I know its only a estimate from your brother and I do much appreciate his math genius... because math is NOT my strong point FOR SURE !!! Good to have another set of eyes look at the stats ... Just to be sure we aren't nuts !!

I'm the same, my husband tells me to stay off here too but I actually get some sort of comfort knowing I'm not alone in this mess! I get asked about 20 times a day when I'm "going to America", I wish it was that easy!

There are only a select few who even know we got married. We decided not to make an announcement until he is actually here. I knew it would take a very long time and  I just didn't want to explain to everyone  and he didn't want to have to explain either.  I know so many people in his town and I am sure they would back him in a corner and grill him. He is very quiet and gets annoyed when people get in his business.

People just don't understand the process of this whole immigration thing. Most think it is automatic and those are the fools you have to explain everything to .

Once he's here....

HI, this is my husband.XXXX...

Not

Hi,  I'm married but my husband doesn't live in the US yet....

I'll be there with you in the same dusty box, don't worry!

Since a lot of the emails come at night ... (and I'm sure that is to cut down on phone calls)...  I have been checking at all hours and when I wake up I pray that an email will be sitting there just waiting....I have a phone app the goes directly to the USCIS website (USCIS case status notifier)   I check it constantly.

I even try to stay away from VJ.... It's just impossible not to check.   Like a watched pot that never bolis...

BTW, I think the Feb 12th date is BS.  I think its more like March.. but thats just me.

I had HIGH  HOPES for this week but once again  feeling crushed and forgotten.  I'm happy to be seeing my husband on Thanksgiving but I wish I was bringing him home with me.  Leaving him  just sucks

Oh I apologize then. It's just that the highlighted text below from USCIS's mail caught my attention:

I think when they refer to "STAND ALONE"  they mean the I-130's that are not filed along with an I-485 " adjustment of status"  I read that somewhere, Can't remember where tho.

I'm pretty sure I saw K-3s transferred as well.

I was just about to say that ! ! !    I did see others with K-3's that got transferred.   We should add that to the spreadsheet

Lately, I check my status a few 100 times a day on my phone app just so MAYBE I can have something good to tell my husband. He's frustrated.  Last night he said he doesn't think we will ever be together. I had to reassure him that we WILL be together for sure .... I just don't know when...

Hi LoveMyTico,

Are you sure your PD is 12th.April? because 12th. and 13th. are Sat. and Sunday. So, far there is no transfers for these dates. Also, after 11th.April,   Only 14th.April transfer has come. So I am having this doubt. How do you see this?

April 12th was a Friday.... And Yes, I am sure.... April 12th is on my NOA1   On April 12, 2013 we received...........

oh, i hope your thought is right smile.png the hard copy i received said to expect something from them within 60days, which to me is still a long time. but at least its getting looked at finally!

lets keep those good thought coming & hoping for approvals soon!!!

that's why I think those service center are only procesing the backlog.  They took them off the charts. That to me says they are not sending NEW ones there.  They sent a letter stating 60 days... so hopefully the I-130's are the ONLY petitions they are focusing on.

Now, if they would just keep transferring.....

it would be nice to see more approvals though...  I hope it wasn't them just shuffling things around to makeit look like they are doing something.  There is really no excuse for this huge backlog to begin with.   IMO

Yes, I check and there is processing times for the other services center, CSC times is 7.7 months now which is awesome but my case is in Nebraska now and I don't know their current processing time sad.png

I am guessing Nebraska and Texas don't show up for NEW I-130's. Those service centers are taking the backlog from the NBC. Hopefully they are ONLY processing backlog and we will all be approved faster.

Just a thought

I also read somewhere that not everyone is being transferred sad.png But I do hope we all are, because for what I read in the february and march threads people are getting their NOA2 a month or so after they were transferred.

Best of luck guys!

I might be going out on a limb here but I think my case will be one of the petitions that stays at the NBC.  I just have that  feeling with our circumstances  even tho my lawyer says its not even an issue...   We'll see.
