yeah, but she filed in March

but  she made many mistakes and they sent it back.. so the official NOA1 is not March.

I second you, very well stated I first filed in March. :D  Aren't we lucky.

ok, only 8 approvals last week for the the I-130s at the NBC.  could be more, the timelines don't get updated... But I see february filers getting approved.......sooooooo that is a good sign ( trying to stay positive)

I get angry when I goto that page because the first thing you see is all the approvals for the K-1s.   They had a busy day yesterday !

18 days and counting...  Can't wait to be with my husband.

We talk and text everyday. My husband doesn't own a computer or have internet in his home and he doesn't have a front camera on his cell... so we chat online with WHATSAPP  and we talk every night 8pm his time  and I do call now and then to his cell.   I use boss revolution for my calling cards... I can also recharge his cell from the boss revolution website.  They have great rates.  I also have Metro PCS which has unlimited international talk and text.   We use whatsapp for texting because it is expensive for him to text me from CR.

I have been to CR 3 times this year so far. Feb, March, May and soon to be 4 times this year come the end of this month.

We were just talking about processing times. He asked if January is what we are looking at now.... I said probably, but we are still early in the processing times. One more week til 4 months since NOA1

Sometimes I just want to stop keeping track... but then I can't help myself.   Our thread has been quiet this week....    Let's try and keep this alive while we wait !!

How often does everyone talk to their spouses?  How do you communicate?  Skype, Texts  etc....

How often does everyone visit while we wait?

I have seen an I-130 approval within 165 consecutive numbers previous to mine...I hope this means that we are getting closer....it was MSC1390983725. The goverment needs to overhaul the system. And to me its strange that all the paperwork is never converted to an electric file..so they dont ever get lost between agencies...

There is really only 4 April approvals in Igor's list.  I didn't check their situations so I dont' know if they are all out of the country or what.    I would think they should be processing March and april.... but then again, nothing they do makes sense..LOL

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril 2013 I-130 Filers

Hey guys,

I would like to know if anyone's I-130 petition got approved, who filed in March or April ? Its 3+ months that I filed my petition for spouse and there has been no updates after getting NOA1. I want to get an update as to what is going on. They are just quiet.

I called USCIS and they told me that they are still processing the I-130 petitions from Nov 2012 ;( They also told me that the case would be transferred to the local office from NBC. There has been so much confusion regarding case processing in NBC or local office on this forum.

Also, how to connect to Tier 2 rep ? I tried asking a Tier 1 rep. to transfer me to Tier 2 and they shot me down. Any tips for connecting to Tier 2 ?

Thanks

This entire thread is people asking about approvals.. read from the beginning ...  It should answer your questions.... or make you more confused....  Most will tell you that waiting 3 months is nothing...( of course to the person who is waiting...its an eternity)  Prepare for the worst... so when something good happens, you'll be happy.

Tier 1 can only read the screen you can see when you check your status on the USCIS website.  TIer 2 can see more but its like pulling teeth to get it out of them.  Its my experience that everytime I call, it seems I am annoying the person on the other end by asking for details about my case.....  They sure don't offer much...

I think the older cases can be considered approved on Igor's list.   I wish everyone would update their timeline. I think you can see the last time someone logged in on VJ if you goto the profile.  If they haven't signed in for a long time... I would consider them done...  But thats me.

USCIS Local Office - Memphis
Hours
The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 7:30AM to 2:00PM and The office is closed on Friday.

Ummm any hint of why they are 11.9 months behind and 1,700 petitions pending? Maybe because they only work 26 hours a week!!

My rant of the day.. 26 hours a week I'm screwed if my petition is transferred

my estimated time frame on Igors list went from October to December ... just today.... I looked early this morning  it was like the end of Sept to Oct 30th.. Now....Nov 19th  to Dec 18th or something like that.     What the heck happened????  When I first signed up back in April for this petition, It said July.... slowly inching forward...  Next week it will say January... UGHHHH    I have a really hard time believing Igor these days.. Too many people not filling in their timelines

IMO, I think everyone gets processed at the NBC...  Unusual files get transferred... There is  no priority for certain countries... I think it depends on the person processing and their expeience...  Some can fly through a pile of files and others take longer.. It all depends.     I'm about to  call and find out exactly where my file is. I paid the fee,  I have a right to know at least where my file is.

I think it will be October/November for NOA2, that's me saying it with my realist head on... If I went with my heart, I'd hope we'd hear something in Aug, but I just can't see how they can catch up that fast... sad.png

 I have to agree.

If you look on their profile it was for their mother, not their spouse. Still an I-130 nonetheless, but I imagine the process for a parent is easier to prove a relationship with than a spouse...!

I meant to look at the profile but I wasn't online long enough last night.. I knew there has to be something different... Although, I thought it took longer to petition for a parent...  I don't know what I was thinking.

I was reading  other threads and they are all dead set on " your file definitely gets transferred to the local office after a few months"   so everytime someone from  this thread calls the USCIS, they get told they will only get transferred if there is additional info needed or  they request an interview.   My lawyer said the same thing...  so why are people insisting on unsure information. ??  UGH

In 6 days is 4 solid months.... I really hope next is a big push on CR1 visas smile.png

The USCIS website is being updated today.  Maybe there will be some updated stats on the processing times. ( wishful thinking... I know)   trying to be positive though.

We are at 3.5 months.  I know we still  have a little time to go, I would be much more reassured if I saw the March filers getting approved.

Thank you!

I just filled mine out but I am confused on one thing: For embassy it doesnt give me anything close to my husband at all. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia (there is a US consulate there), would that not be where he interviews? Theres nothing even remotely close in the list...he'd have to go montreal or something which is 2 provinces and hours over! *Next closest province would be NB. If he had to go Montreal it would basically require a plane ticket, I hope this isnt true :|.

My guess would be that they don't do interviews in the embassy close to him...  Maybe someone who dealt with Canada will chime in and help..

I haven't posted here, but I am in the same boat as all of you. Filed april 15th....

I was hoping to have my husband here for christmas this year sad.png. I really hope it can still happen... he's living in very temp housing as well (so he can get out of a lease fast) augh. I had thought my trip to see him in June would be my last, but it looks like I'll be in Canada again in the fall sad.png.

If you fill in your timeline, you can follow the progress of everyone who filed around the time you did.

At the rate the files are being processed, I took Christmas right out off the table.   I would think maybe an interview...  but NVC is taking a long time too

It is my understanding that not all cases are getting transferred to the local offices.  Twice I was told by USCIS that they don't automatically get transferred. My case has been at the NBC for 3.5 months.  I don't think it is going to get transferred.  I wish they would hurry up and open the other facility and just start processing cases...  This wait is just ridiculousprotest6wz.gif ClockWatch2.gif headbonk.gif

Under the immigration reform bill that is up or it might have been voted down.. Not sure because haven't did much research on it to be honest.. It talks about making spouse visa faster and spouse immediately living in US but it also talks about removing some visas where they are not available any more.. I'm kinda in the dark on this because I haven't did research

Out of topic:
I just had a embarrassing moment!! So I'm doing a long travel for work.. I think ohh even though it is nasty I will eat at McDonalds to speed up time for trip.. Up to the speaker (place order).. First window (pay).. By the time I get to the second window I'm in la la land not thinking or paying attention.. Lady hands me food and I tell her this order isn't mine!! She gets confused talks to some people.. Then I realize.. She has already given me my food!!! I was just sitting there collecting everyone else's food behind me in line.. Haha

HAHHAHAAA  THATS FUNNY ! ! !

Just wanted to let everyone know that these petitions can make a difference if everyone takes a few minutes to get them out there.  I found this petition 2 days ago and they had only 225 signatures.  I started posting the link in my groups on here and posted it on my Facebook page and asked my family and friends to share the link to the petition.  In 2 days the petition has gone from 225 signatures to 375.  That's just in 2 days.  This petition got started over a month ago and had only gotten 225 signatures.  There have been 150 new signatures in the last 2 days.  So again, I encourage everyone to share this link on their personal social media and get the word out.  Something has to be done, even it change doesn't happen before my husband gets here, I'd like to think maybe I helped others down the road.

http://www.change.or...-alien-relative

I posted this on the VJ Facebook page a few days ago and I saw many people re-post it everywhere.  I already signed it.. I hope everyone else signs it too.   I'm not sure how this petition gets forwarded to the people who will actually make  the change....but  its worth a try  !!

Looks like we're trading places, Katie!  I'm heading to Germany in a week, to spend 10 days with my hubby after almost 5 months of separation.  So looking forward to that!

But it does start to look like our grand plans of having him in the US for good before Christmas are more and more unlikely.  Which means he might have to visit at Christmastime - I'm interested to hear how your POE goes with the I-130 pending, because I know he's nervous about traveling while this process is underway.

Safe travels!

em

They way things are going... I am afraid my husband will get approved and have his interview in December when it will be super expensive for me to fly.  He doesn't want to go alone and I really want to go with him...   I hope its earlier so we can hurry up and file his waiver.

Once we get into the Holiday season, the processing slows down too cray5ol.gif

It drives me crazy to hear that the NBC is backed up 6-9 months for processing, only to see that K-1s are getting done in a little over 90 days.  Sometimes I have to ask, "Where is the justice?"

It makes me crazy too.  The USCIS talks about doing things to lessen the time a family spends apart.....  ( yea right..)   Seems they got it backwards....  We are married and WE are the families kept apart by the broken system...instead, they approve the unmarried people... WHAT IS GOING ON???  I'm not saying the K-1s shouldn't be approved... I just think somebody failed to create a priority list

I love all the math facts ... math in not my strong point.  If I get an approval in September, I'd be happy.  We have to file a waiver after we goto our interview.  That goes to the NSC. The posted times for that is 4 months.. ( as we speak... that could change right when we are about to file)

There are also official statistics like this - you can see national volumes and how many applications were received and processed each month up to May currently. It looks more like, yeah, they get more than they process, but still process quite a few.

I think you should really stress that you've applied for an immigrant visa and it means you're trying to do it the right way and not screw it up by being in the country illegally (with all the consequences like being unable to work normally, etc.).

And yeah, costs an arm and a leg. Lol. My husband also wants to come see me in August.

ummm... read threads on here about mentioning you have a pending I-130.  It might cause more harm then good.  Read first....

and for the Volume stats..I have a question...

ALL OTHER is referring to anything other than I-30's ?  Correct?  if that is correct, Philly Field office isn't doing too bad.

825 completions and around 1100 receipts. They aren't too far off.  YAY !!

I just found out that someone stole my identity. I don't know how they got my social security number... but they had my debit card and tried to purchase a website... I won't even tell you the name of it... UGHHHH  and they also made a purchase at Cabelas.com...I saw a foreign exchange fee of $3. I was like... Hey , I wasn't traveling YESTERDAY.... WTH ?? ? ?     Had to put credit alerts on my number and cancel my debit card....  GRRR  just another hassle I dont' need.

Awesome Katie!! Wish you safe travel and tell your hubby we all praying for speedy applications and hi from your VJ blog mate..

I hope there is not another transfer to another office.. That would be insane.. But little info (yes bored at work again) that kinda supports the theory of training and not approving I-130s..

# of VJ members (with updated timeline) NOA2 approvals per month..

Jan 76
Feb 88
March 106
April 94
May 65
June 51
July 15 so far (1 week left!)

So looks like about mid to end June the amount of approvals almost come to a complete halt.. I hope to see a trend of the number of applications per week increase soon.. According to that interview the I-129 was easiest to process so maybe they are done training on them and soon be training on I-130 if that is the reason for the majorly lower trend.. Can only hope

Just remember everyday makes all us stronger couples with a long happy future with your loved ones .. Have a wonderful day

hmm,  considering your stats... it does seem like processing has come to a screeching halt. SUCKS FOR US !!!

I have to remember that VJ represents a very tiny amount of the actual amount of petitions  being processed at the USCIS.  I still stand firm with the fact that we all paid the REQUIRED processing fee.   ( yea, it is the government we are talking about ) but really? 4-6 weeks should be the max... and yes, I  know that is a pipe dream... just stating my opinion ( again)     Training or not.... they should still be processing at a normal rate. Don't they have processing guidleines for their adjudicators?  I know it must be hard to keep up with a quota between breaks and lunch and vacations... ( grrr)  I'd like to suggest that if your case doesn't get processed within a 6 week period, then the processing fee is refunded to the applicants. OR  the adjudicators get paid by files they process.   I'd be processing files so friggin fast   if I worked there( just sayin)

Do they have to re-train the current employess or just train new hires? ( if they hired new employess at all)

9 days till I head off to the USA to see my hubby for a whole 2 weeks (as long as POE isn't a pain in the ***!) I have all my docs prepared so hopefully it will be fine. I can't wait! *watches clock*

I'm down to 4.5 weeks.  I hate to rush the time ....  I'm sure when I get older I'm going to complain that time went too fast.

Being apart from my husband just seems like wasted time.

I'm jealous that you are down to 9 days !!  HA HA

IF timelines are updated...
This week so far... 3 Total VJ NOA2 @ NBC
Last week.. 5 Total VJ NOA2 @ NBC
Week before last.. 4 Total VJ NOA2 @ NBC

Come on NBC make it at least 6 this week and show improvement!!!!!

Story of my life.....  Hurry up and wait !!

Being bored at work just makes me more of a VJ stalker. UGH...  I  wonder when the approvals will start rolling in?  Igor's list is a good tool but I bet half of those timelines aren't updated.  It worries me that they are opening another facility to process I-130's.  That means another transfer. Possibly a new box.. and who knows if they label them so they can be placed in order..... UGH....
