FYI there are moderators listening on the lines. One rep was rude to me and I got snippy back with her and the moderator jumped in and yelled at me telling me my case wasn't there and I need to wait 90 days. Both of them were nasty. It seems we are all getting nasty reps. I complained to the Senators office today. He requested all the info my attorney sent regarding my denied expedite for the petition. He is going to request an expedite from the NVC. I am sure it won't work out but at least someone is willing to do something. The congressional office pretty much told me to pound sand. This ####### just keeps piling deeper and deeper everyday. And the people at the NV are rude. Once they tell you there is no record of your case they want to get off the phone with you... So can someone tell me what the heck I should do????? Where are my papers? They wont even begin to look for anything because they rattle off that scripted 2-4 weeks baloney !! Snail mail isn't an option . Do they offer tracking numbers once you get your case #??? Lisa was talking about DHL a few days back. I'm still calling everyday to see if there is a case #. I Sent a letter similar to what your husband sent just requesting info. They approved my case that same night that I sent the letter. I am sure they were just responding to the whinning..LOL The NVC rep told me they don't FEDEX any of the cases. They are sent bulk mail from Vermont to New Hampshire. She told me 2-4 weeks.... The typical whinning ... and That night I felt like an idiot because they sent me the approval notices at 8:01pm. So I spent $22.00 on an overnight express letter for nothing. But I guess it did make them e-mail me to tell me it was sent to NVC.... Maybe that was worth $22.00 LOL I will be calling everyday to get my case number. The congressman sent me an e-mail saying my petitions were approved and were sent to the NVC. Hopefully the VSC used fed ex to transport our files. They had all day today to travel. Hopefully Monday morning they will all be there. It is kinda cool that we all get to be here at the same time. It will be interesting to see what countries have thier Sh!t together. What number do I call to check and see if my package got there? The USCIS handed me some 60 day line of #######. I told her I am not waiting another 60 days. No freakin' way. I mean, how many people have you seen, even here, that go CR1 and then get stuck at the NVC for months? I know there are "short cuts" that can speed things up, but you see a lot of people hit a snag for some stupid reason or another and *bam*, they are still waiting 4, 5, or 6 more months. And you have more $$$ to pay right away for a CR1. And that figure really adds up when you add children. Things are too tight right now financially and with this economy, I'd rather have her here a.s.a.p. then go through the extra months the CR1 'could' take. I mean, what if things get worse and you can't get your loved ones here? Things are working out for my trip over for the interview now. It will be 6 months since I have held my wife by the time the interview gets here ... for us ... we don't want to wait anymore. Even with the immediate GC with the CR1, getting my wife & step-daughter home faster and cheaper "up front" made it an easy choice for us. We have two years to worry about adjusting. By then she will be working too, adding to the family income making the extra fees to adjust easier to manage. I perfectly understand anyone who goes with either visa ... but especially those who have been waiting through the VSC for 250+ days ... my reaction would be a no-brainer ... K3 ... it's faster. My attorney told me that the K-3 will get to the embassy faster. So I proceed with the K-3 and then what.... instead of a conditional GC he gets his Permanent GC??? The rep told me since my CR1 and my K-3 were approved at the same time the CR1 voids the K-3. I never heard that before. I was hoping to go the K-3 route but she said I have to go the CR1 route.
