My husband come to Sweden next week and we are going to have some vacation in Scandinavia before I leave. Good luck friends! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You can also put in a service request at the same time with VSC. Double exposure.. Also, I sent a Fedex letter to the Adjudicating superviser at the VSC. I got an e-mail the next day with my status. I THOT: BUT I AM THE FIRSET?! SO I WENT TO THE OTHER DOOR AND THEY TOOK MY CELLPHONE AND CHECKED MY SUITCASE AGAIN! WHEN I GOT INTO THE LOBBY INSIDE THE EMBASSY THERE WAS SOME GUY WAITING THERE, I THINK HE IS THE ONE WHO GOT B4 ME, AND AS I UNDERSTOOD LATER FROM HIM HE HAD SOME CONNECTIONS IN THE SECUIRTY AND THEY GOT HIM IN AS SOON AS HE ARRIVED TO THE EMBASSY! DURING THAT TIME THE IMMI PEOPLE WERE HAVING CHIT CHATS,, I WAS TALKING TO THE GUY WHO WAS B4 ME AND HE ASKED ME WHERE MY WIFE LIVES I SAID: KY! HE SAID: MY WIFE ALSO IN KY !! I SAID: YAH COOL! RIGHT AWAY AFTER THAT THE COUPLE WHO WERE BEHINDEME CAME IN AND THEY TALKED TO THAT GUY AND ASKED HIM WHERE IS HIS WIFE IN THE USA, HE SAID: NJ!! LOL,.... GS4EVER, i was just wondering, what is the AVR message that you have right now? ours is "NVC received your documents on april 3, 2009...please allow 6 to 8 weeks for..." . i am wondering as our cases are similar as dates are concerned.. Morning NVCers, Ours is saying we received ur biographic forms on April 2nd but the NVC is waiting for ur AOS bill and packet. Stupid AVR is soooooooooo messed up. We paid our AOS and IV bill together and the website says so and we sent in both cover pages all in the same envelope. I have stopped paying the AVR any attention especially since many operators said to ignore it and it's not always updated. New week, let's see if we will have any luck. Me personally I am not holding my breath, especially since we haven't even been told we are in final review. I see most VJers getting stuck in final review for another 5 days or so. So I don't believe I will have case complete till next week anways.... The automated system still says they have no record of my cases. I have since gotten 3 notices to pay the bills for the I-130 and I'm not even going that route. My attorney got two notices of approval for the I-130 also. Very strange !!! My K-3 interview is the 24th .... and they have no record of me? They need some serious revamping. The process ends up being way harder than it has to be..... I would assume that NVC is working on Friday because I know for sure that other government agencies are open... Good Friday isn't a national holiday, so I would be surprised if they were closed. Here is our update for the day: I called the doctor's office this morning to request another letter for an expedite (they already furnished one for me for the CSC processing, but our petition was approved before I even had the chance to send it in...). As soon as I have that, I will e-mail it to the NVC (as per the instructions from the representative I spoke to yesterday). I am not sure how long it takes them to process the expedite requests... but hopefully we should get an answer fairly quickly. I have been hearing mixed things about whether or not they will approve it. Most people say that pregnancy is not a reason for expedite (unless it is high-risk), but then others say it gets approved if the person who is pregnant is the USC (as opposed to the intending immigrant). I have also heard that it is not considered an expedite for a fiance (k3) visa. However, it is considered to be a hardship on a marriage (so therefore a legitimate reason on a k1 or cr1/ir1 visa). So, I don't know. But, we figure it is worth a try. My doctor was the one that offered to write the letter in the first place (I didn't even know that cases could be expedited when we started this process). She really believes that this whole situation (being apart from each other) is putting "unneccessary stress and anxiety" on my health. So, we will see. Anyone else have news to report today?? my daughter has a brain tumor and they denied my expedite.. People are pregnant every day.... Pregnancy is preventable.... Brain tumors are not. Hubby took care of almost everything.. Tenative date for interview is 4-22. We just have to call and tell them that is the date we want. His medical is the 14th. I can't wait to see his family. I am going through withdrawal... I usually see them every 6 weeks or so.... UGHHHHHHHH I haven't seen him since Feb 10th. Anyone in the same situation or knows how to go around this, I was wondering how is it that most VJers are sending in AOS and IV packets and it tells us on the online instructions to not proceed without NVC authorization. I tried to tell him an operator told me NVC won't send an OK to proceed and that he needs to send our packet in as long as he's got the cover sheet (which he does!!). I think he's got it twisted according to the old system. January and February NVC case completes, please chime in as your expertise is highly valued. They get news letters and updates from USCIS. Did you research him and see what his success rate is? IMO, if they practice other kinds of law along with immigration and they don't do a ton of immigration stuff, they may not be aware of new proceedures. Also, the lawyers aren't calling and bugging the NVC like we do. The reps who answer the phone are only reps. You can call 15 times and get 15 different reps and they will probably have 15 different answers for you. throw some Karma stars at your lawyer. Make him eat them if he won't do what you want... Look to see if they post the interview schedule on their website. Mumbai has a list of the interviews by case number. visa category, date and time. I got my case number from NVC today. Based on the interview schedule posted on the Chennai consulate website it seems that we could be waiting a couple of months for the interview. Going by the case numbers and the approximate number of case numbers they interview each month it doesn't look like we will get a date in April and probably not even in May. ####### ?!
