Every day at work, the EXACT SAME people ask me when I will be moving out to live with my husband, then feign shock when I say maybe a year or more. I think they do it on purpose. I don't even know these people, they work on a different floor to me, yet they love provoking me That's why I didn't make the annoucement yet...   Some people at work know, a few good friends  and my children ..of course  But people don't understand the process. They think the minute you get married its like an instant visa and you can just fly the next day.  Its too exhausting and depressing to keep explaining.   The day my husband puts his feet on  US soil is when I will make the announcement. The date on your NOA1 is a receipt date. Spouses of USC's don't have priority dates. There are unlimited visas.    They are letting you know your file was transferred.  Nothing more.  you'll drive yourself crazy by picking apart every little detail.    I am an April filer. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	I still think the K3 pulls the I-130 along faster.  They keep saying they are joined (Merged) and maybe thats not a bad thing.    Did the Senators office say anything about that?  Other wise I'm pretty unhappy reading what they told you.  Wow in 5 min. time, it goes from maybe maybe to oh no again.  There are others contacting thier Senators office about the processing times for the K3.  Maybe we'll hear a different story from those members.   I remember your Lawyer was in a hurry and spending his own time to file that for you.  I'm not sure where (or how current) a Senators office would get this answer.  Maybe its junk.   So cheer up LoveMyTico your doing every thing you can. This person at the senators office was talking #######... almost like she is paid to hand off that line to everyone.  I would rather go with REAL TIME status reports here rather than listen to someone who works for the government and rattles off a line or two to get me off her back....  'tK-3 gets merged, then at least they are looking at my file...  The K-3 gets processed at a different service center...  I don't know why so many people here are anti-K3.   I am happy that I sent it out.  If the CSC is working on Aug 2013 , then mine was just filed in Oct... that to me is better than waiting another 6 months OR MORE for the I-130. I couldn't care less about the adjustment fee.  The most important thing is that he is here with me.     I just ingore the K-3 haters !     Plus, like  you said ... I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO TALKS THE SAME LANGUAGE AS I DO. I TOLD HER THAT I START TO LOSE FAITH WITH ANYONE AT THE 800 NO COZ' IT'S THE SAME EXCUSES. BUT I KEPT TRYING JUST MAYBE SOMEONE WILL GIVE ME AN HONEST ANSWER. SHE SAID THAT IT WAS TRUE THAT MY FILE WAS TOUCHED BUT THERE WAS AN UPDATE AGAIN LAST WEEK THAT CONFIRMS WHAT IVE BEEN READING HERE LATELY. 4 WKS AGO THEY SAID THAT ALL THE FILE LEFT AT NBC MISSOURI WILL BE PROCESSED BY THE END OF OCT WHICH INCLUDE MINE THAT WAS FEB PD. BUT NOW, IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN COZ' ALL THOSE FILES LEFT THERE WILL BE SENT TO LOCAL OFFICES TO BE PROCESSED. SHE SAID THAT THEY MADE THE DECISION BECAUSE THEY REALIZED THAT THEY CAN'T HANDLE ALL THE BACKLOGS AND LOCAL OFFICES ARE MORE CURRENT THAN THEM. SO I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS GOING TO BE ADDITIONAL 8 MOS(ATOTAL OF 16MOS)PROCESSING JUST FOR A DECISION ON A STAND ALONE I-130. I WAS ADVISED TO FILE I-129F FOR A K3VISA IF I WANTED MY HUSBAND AND STEPSON HERE SOONER. I DID YESTERDAY AND MAILED IT PRIORITY.  SO IT'S UP TO YOU GUYS. I GUYS, THERE'S NOTHING TO LOSE IF WE GO THAT ROUTE. AT LEAST FILING I-129F IS FREE(FOR I-130 FILERS) AND HOPEFULLY CAN GET OUR FAMILY HERE SOONER THAN 16MOS. IF THEY TRANSFER MINE HERE IN CALIFORNIA, THEY ARE PROCESSING K3 FOR AUG. 23,2013. SO MAYBE I CAN HAVE MY DECISION IN 2 MONTHS...GOODLUCK GUYS... Any ideas why it would be transferred there instead of Detroit or Little Rock? I just put in a change of address a few days ago. Lee's Summit is the NBC.  That's so odd.  Where was your file before this?    It was my understanding that the files were being transferred FROM Lee's Summit to other service centers....  I'd call if I were you !  Let us know. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	just called to get an update and or request a service on my case... rep said they just now within the last 2 weeks or so received processing times (after not having one for months) she said they are currently working on OCTOBER 2012 case  unbelievable.. anyone else got this info? so looks like many more months wait.. I don't know who or what to believe anymore.. just very exhausted with this for the last 8 months.. those numbers aren't even current. They are reading a chart that is updated with information from August.  There have been April, May and June approvals.  Check out Igor's list.  VJ is just a small percentage of files but if 3 April approvals come about on VJ, imagine how many others were approved who aren't memebers here.     Don't believe the drones who answer the phones over there ! It's an estimate based off of VisaJourney members from the same month...it has nothing to do with the USCIS processing your file, just a way to give you something compared to what people have posed on their timelines....sorry to bear bad news...it could be good, but I wouldn't weigh too much on what the estimate says. lol... IT IS FOR  ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY !!!  Consider that not everyone comes back to fill in their timelines. It is only as accurate as the information entered by the VJ users. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	I was told by the senators office that PD  doesn't matter because there is unlimited visa for spouses.  And at first I thought she was talking ####### because there  had to be some sort of order to processing these files... right?   but now it makes sense... maybe she was right.... the approvals are all over the place with no rhyme or reason.   The priority date really only matters when the visas are limited.. so then it becomes first come, first serve.. Click "immigration timelines" above. Then click "igors list"   you can set the chart for what you want to look at.   The estimated times are calcualted based on the timelines. It is important that everyone complete their timelines . You can view each persons timeline and follow it if you want to.  Since alot of people don't update their timelines, it is only a fun way to watch your case. I wouldn't use it for anything else. It changes often    When I first filled in my timeline, The estimate said July. I have seen it go all the way to january 2014. The wait is a horrific heartache. I suggest we all contact the USCIS Ombudsman Liaison simultaneoulsy at: OLUInquiries@dhs.gov   I just sent the following to the Ombudsman. Be sure to read through and change how long my petition has been pending to match yours. I will post this letter in the Feb, Mar filers for them to send similar letter and we should all submit at the same time. Perhaps they will pay attention if we fill the mailbox with this.   ============================================================ Subject: Assistance with I-130 Petition at the USCIS National Benefits Center Dear OLU, The purpose of this email is to inquire about an I-130 petition I filed at the USCIS National Benefits Center (NBC) in Lee?s Summit Missouri to reunite with my wife. The receipt number: MSCxxxxxxxxxx This petition has been pending for over 5 months (USCIS processing goal according to its website) as of September 3 2013 and I have yet to be notified by the NBC on a decision. I have called the USCIS toll-free number multiple times to inquire about the status of my petition and was on those occasions able to talk to various Tier 2 Officers who provided conflicting information about the processing time ? some said 5 months, others 6 months, and so on?. Some petitioners whose priority date is after mine have received a decision from NBC and others prior to mine are still waiting.  It seems as if petitions are RANDOMLY processed. USCIS, in order to satisfy its customers should STANDARDIZE the process for FAIRNESS as every family is equally important and provide CONSISTENT information upon customer's request or inquiry. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	Should have done the k3 along w the i130 lawyers were like "no they both will be done at the same time" "it takes 5 months" "trust me"... search around....  there haven't been any K3 approvals on VJ in a VERY long time.  K-3 would be a huge waste of time.   I was also assured by my attorney that the USCIS has standards and it will be 6 months....  He said to HANG IN THERE...  like I have any other choice.    BTW,  I filed back in 2009... it took 10 months for my K-3  and 13 months for the I-130 approval.  I went the K3 route but ended up withdrawing the petition after all that.    So, the K-3 was faster but 10 months was a joke.  I thought it would be faster this time. I called Tier 2 on Friday, and they said my case was "touched" 8/15.  Whatever the heck that means.  He said just keep waiting. Same rigmarole.  SSDD(Same "stuff" different day) touched means that your file was scanned in to a different location. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	kind of counter productive the way they shuffle the files back and forth.....  OMG  everyday its something new.    I heard they only transfer cases if they need extra work or if they need to interview the petitioner.  Its seems odd to me that they would send it twice.  What a waste of time.  I hope you get an approval out of this ! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	I called USCIS today and talked to a Tier2 officer after 2-1/2hrs on waiting on the line. She told me that both my husband and stepson's files are actively being worked on and has been assigned since Aug.13. Finally my files are on somebody's desk. She also told me that it normally takes 6wks for them to process a case so she mentioned that I may have a decision by late Sept. That's good news, at least I know that my files are not somewhere in limbo...My priority date is Feb.28, 2013. Good luck and God bless us all.... 6 weeks is ####### if its already on someone's desk....  There is an ex-adjudicator Q&A post on here where he states it only takes about 15 minutes to process one file.   They throw a 6 week time frame at you so you will stop calling...  This is such a shame that they are taking so long.  I hope  you get approved soon. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February 2013 I-130 Filers	hello all,   first of all congrats to those who have been approved, and for those who are still waiting... let's file a class action lawsuit! i just started following this thread, and am a fellow february filer - filed on Feb. 20, 2013, and received my NOA1 on Feb. 22, 2013... after that complete silence. I decided to go to my congressman this past month to follow up on the case and this is the response I get from her   "I did recently receive a response from the National Benefits Center.  Our congressional liaison indicates the system shows the case, MSC*************, was received in their office on 2/20/2013 and is currently pending.  She further states that stand-along Immediate Relative Form I-130 petitions are being sent to the National Benefits Center (NBC), for transition to the local field office of jurisdiction for adjudication.  Due to the current workload at the field offices, NBC current processing time for I-130 applications is approximately 12 months.   She further states that they will review and adjudicate an I-130 Immediate Relative request for expedite if the file is located at NBC.  With an expedite request, you must have supporting documentation for such a request.  Expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director (see attached) so there is no guarantee that it will be approved.   I realize this is not the news you had hoped to hear, but I am pleased to provide you with this update."   TWELVE MONTHS?!?!?!?!?! WHAT THE ****!!!!!!!!!    why don't we have these uscis officers try to live without their loved ones and see how they like it. I don't, and i'm sure no one else wants to wait just a year to get an approval and then get dragged through NVC. What do we do? What CAN we do?  I received the exact same letter from Senator Bob Casey's office last week.      BUT.. my immigration lawyer is very very confident that the USCIS is still on track with the 6 month processing time.  Like I said before...
