IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Really?	Okay. So for the last few days I have been away from everything "immigration". Went to visit the husband for the weekend and gave it all a rest. Came back today and figured I would check up on things, not really expecting any movement of any kind. Sure enough, USCIS still says under review...expected that. However, I did not expect what I found when I checked my timeline. It says that our case should be adjudicated between March 13, 2014 and March 31, 2014! Now I am thinking, either I slid back in time OR...they got REALLY speedy at NSC all of a sudden. I am an optimist, but I am also a realist so my hopes are not soaring at this point. So did I really slide back in a time warp, is this just a numbers thing...or can I allow myself to be a little bit more (cautiously) optimistic? not sure what you're expecting?  You just filed....  at the very least you have another 3-4 months to wait.   They received thousands and thousands of files a day.    Look  at my signature and then decide whether whining is vaild at this point.   SO unless you filed an expedite, you have to wait. OR you have incredible luck.   The estimate on the bottom of your timeline is for entertainment purposes only.  It means nothing really.  Just fun to look at and wish upon a star.. When I filed last April, the processing times were at 6 months.   So 6 months turned into 11 months and 6 LONG days. and they didn't even touch my file to process it until February 2014.   Edited by LoveMyTico, 14 April 2014 - 10:37 AM. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	what does this mean?	just a bit confused on approved or re affirmed, didnt have my noa2 yet Make sure you call the USCIS and make sure you were approved.  Have you been checking your status all along?  You should have received a text message when you were approved.  ( if you are signed up for text notifications) I want my case number! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	i want to understand my husband	Hi eric, him and his family is doing fine, it's just my husband that dont want to try to ask for any help because he believes that no body will going to send copies of their w-2's. i don't know what to do to convince him to ask help,  isn't a denial enough to convince him to ask?  How about the fact that he is wasting precious time by sending the package he wants to send.     I wouldn't care about revealing my income to someone, I'd be nervous about sponsoring someone that I would be responsible for...... for about 10 years. Oh yeah, you have to have all the original ingredients for it to be a True Philly Cheesesteak.   I had a "Philly Cheesesteak" in St Louis MO three weeks ago, A cheesesteak with lettuce and tomatoe? what? I was like call it a cheesesteak not a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK! don't mislead your customers!!!!!!! That's called a cheesesteak hoagie....  not to be mistaken for the regular cheesesteak...   My husband likes sauce, fried onions and extra cheese...   Pizzasteak... he is so skinny, he could eat one everyday and still be normal. If I eat one I feel like I have new thighs....      I like chicken cheesesteaks ( less guilt associated in my head  )         I'll try freezing a regular cheesesteak without the roll and I'll try to assemble it when I get there. I should be able to throw everything in a frying pan and heat it up.  I sent my 129 april 7, 2014 and have not received my noa1 is it normal for it to take more than 3 weeks? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	OMG! How I miss the Philly cheesesteak! The just don't make them the same down here! Everytime I visit PA I eat at least 3-4 while I'm there!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Hey guys,   I am wondering if someone can estimate how many days/weeks does it take for NVC to complete case from the day the packet was received by them. Ours was received on Apr 11, 2014. I called NVC last night and they stated it takes around 30 business days. Is that true? And if so, how long of a wait approximately is it until the interview (in Montreal) once the case is completed.   I'm worried because I have a vacation planned in mid-June and don't want the interview date to clash with it. study the spreadsheet.   You can get a pretty good idea from that. I've been taking averages from Saylin's spreadsheet, from the time the last packet was sent till the case complete date.  My averages have been around 25 days. More time for us to save a little side money to splurge on a special dinner celebration after we pass our interviews!!!!   I stay with my in-laws when I visit  since my husband still lives with them.. ( awww)  So I don't have to fork over hotel money... I already told my husband we will be purchasing a bottle of Jose and celebrating.    Neither one  of us are really drinkers but I will make an exception !!    We talked about restaurants last night on the phone.  He said we can goto the Outback  and I said  "NO WAY"  I want Costa Rican food. I can get Outback any old time.   I like the little bars on the side of the road.     He can't wait to come back and eat american food. I woke up this morning and saw the Checklist and I was just devastated! I just figured she knew how to complete it since this is what she does for a living, so I never even mentioned it to her to make sure it was done correctly.    Unfortunately, I hired her before I found VJ. She was great for doing the translations, but I have had to be on top of her for everything else.    I think you will get a Case Complete soon  I hope so...   I am really worried about using the total income for both  the total income slot and the expected income slot.  Sandy @ NVC this morning told me that the TOTAL INCOME is what  they care about. I should not get dinged for the expected income as long as it is over the poverty number I need.  . She said ALOT of people make the same mistake.   So I thanked her and informed her I will be sleeping tonight without worry ( at least about that issue)    I did not ask what date they are currently processing..  If anyone calls this morning, please ask .. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.     So I am assuming a new I-864 form needs to be filled out with the correction and sent ASAP. The paralegal that I am working with must have done this wrong but if you do this all the time, shouldn't you know how to fill this out already? Really annoyed!   And super upset.   No more dreams of a June interview.    My lawyer made the same mistake and I got really pissed after an argument.. so I sent the correction the following monday. It was received 3 days after the original ...  You would think since immigration is supposed to be thier specialty..... they would know the rules....  and you can't tell me they never got a checklist in the past...   I was thinking of printing out Saylins WIKI and handing it to them tonight at my meeting. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Spoke to Sandy...   Really nice woman !   BTW   they are aware of the list we have going on here.   I asked if she reads the forum, she said she DOES NOT but doesn't know if others do.    I did not mention VJ..   So word travels fast !    Too funny     I was told mail is processed by the day.  Most people do not wait for the bills to show paid before they send in the packages.   Sometimes they get truckloads of mail per day. We had a discussion about the I-130 backlog when they were stockpiling the files.. Then all of a sudden the NVC got slammed she said... She said they are trying to offer better customer service and spend more time answering the questions from the callers because it is taking longer to process at the NVC.   I thanked her for being so nice. I know that we, Vjers are recommended to use IE browser. If this is legitimate, I think it's better to ask the NVC about this before doing the payments and fill up the applications on CEAC. In the past thread, I read that other Vjers were having problems in using other browsers so for your safety I would recommend ask NVC. News from ABC: Homeland Security warns not to use IE browser http://abclocal.go.c...logy&id=9520117 Im glad I paid a while back.    I wonder if that is the reason for all the delays over at the NVC??? She told me that it can take up to 30 days to review packages but not usually. ( a glimmer of hope)   The DS260 shows as acceptsed after the review of the packages.  Corrections to the DS260 are brought to the interview. She hears all the time about lawyer nightmares.  ALL THE TIME   so its not just me..
