IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	My lawyer (just now) sent me an email asking for me to Re-sign another I-864 and please send my W2s and another transcript  because an amendment needs to be submitted.  ( no kidding... I have been begging for info since the day it went out)   I open the link for the amended form and she still  has my husbands name incorrect.....   Is this lady for real??   I responded saying I have the correct package ready to go and I will  overnight it on my way home from work. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	our IV and AOS packages were received on FIrday.  Miss Nasty Pants Joy said I need to wait 30 days for them to review.  I think  JOY just enjoys saying "wait 30 days".  She assumes everyone is dumb and doesn't know the NVC process...       I hope to hear something soon.  I can't wait to get back to the time when I actually enjoyed the weekends and Holidays...  I dread the holiday this Friday.  Its just another  lost day to me. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Just spoke to JOY at the NVC.. She either needs a new line of work or another cup of coffee.  She is not a happy girl today.    She told me it takes 30 days to review the DS260 and another 30 days to review the IV and AOS packages. ( full of ####### ) and she did not understand what I was asking. She just kept saying I cannot submit another DS260.. And I kept saying that is not what I asked and I don't want to submit another one... OMG  thick headed woman..   I explained that my lawyer did not sign the AOS package, she said they will not hold up my package for that. My signature is the one they need.   and if I suspect a mistake on the income, she suggests I wait for a checklist and she would not send in a correction unless asked for one.      SO, I have to beg my lawyer to verify the amount he used on the package. I know the original package they sent to me is definitely incorrect.  I just need to find out what they actually sent.  Getting a reply from this lawyer is worse than pulling teeth. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	I got my case # on march 18th, but I'm still getting the " This case is in the process of termination..." error when trying to pay on the online site.  Everyone else seems to be getting the option to pay within a week or so, am I missing something? Or is it more common than I thought that it takes a month to invoice the AOS and IV bills?   And I thought it was supposed to speed up after USCIS. . .    Thanks in advance! there are several links on that page when you log in. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	LoveMyTico,  I sent my lawyer my I-864 and then realized I put the wrong income so I sent him a corrected copy.  He mailed the first one to the NVC.  Yep.  Unbelievable!   Someone on this forum did receive a checklist for a missing signature from their lawyer.  However many times it seems they overlook these things by accident or just ask to bring a corrected one to the interview.  This process is just too much!!! Husband told me to just send in the correction. He doesn't want to even wait for the lawyer to answer my question. He is pissed.  He keeps saying since we paid this guy so much money he should be on top of our case and should be answering every question. If it was free, then ok, we won't bother him... but I have done everything so far.  and now that I think about it.  I wonder if this lawyer even sent the IV package with he AOS.  UGHHHHH I'm losing so much sleep over this ####### !!!!!   I'm sending the corrected AOS tomorrow with a copy of my 1040 with line 22 highlighted.  and since I filled it out, the lawyers signature in not needed.   Hopefully they will get both files and combine them. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Thanks! My son 4 months old today . I know NVC will takes 4-6 weeks to enter cases to system. The funny thing is NSC said case was forwarded to NVC on APRIL 7. NVC confirmed to me case was received on April 7 that is the day NSC shipped out my case??????????(the date in an email I received today). And I got another message from NSC on April 1 and my case status now is " On April 1, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly." That made my confused ......... your  case probably got put in the batch to be sent to the NVC on the 1st. The 7th is probably when the batches were actually sent.  They send batches at all different times. whenever they want.. it might be weekly, bi-weekly  every few days.. who knows.  NVC receives mail all day long... if you call in the morning and your case isn't there yet, you should call again in the evening.   We were lucky... it only took 11 days for our case to be received and assigned a case number.  Getting a case number the same day really helped us fly through.   GOOD LUCK. I was reading your signature....   You received a checklist and sent the correction really fast....  Does the checklist come via email or did you call?  I'm asking because I am expecting a checklist as I am pretty sure my lawyer used the wrong dollar amount on my AOS. He insisted it should be the adjusted income not total. I literally begged him to correct it but he said they won't bother with it because the amount is over the poverty amount.  I know better but he already sent the package.  I should have completed and sent the packages myself.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	I got my case # and IIN assigned April 11th. I am able to log-in into the ceac web site but I can't do match. It tells me that NVC is not ready to process the case yet. this is the message I get: "Please be advised that the case you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National visa center if you believe that you received this message in error"   Now, should I be concerned? or should I wait until Monday before calling them? This process has me wishing time away.   Life is so short and I am sure one day we will be looking back  but DANG...  this is ridiculous.   I am so stressed out about this dumb-a$$ attorney.  What's done is done. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	*sigh*   Just spoke with another NVC lady.  I told her the number on the I864 was the same as the number on my 1040 (I don't have my 1040, but how could it be different??).  She said I need to send in another copy of my tax transcripts and I864 and highlight so they see it's the same.  #######??!!   I asked if maybe they were confused because it's a negative number.  She said that could be something so I also need to send in a letter explaining why it's negative.  Isn't that their freaking job?   So basically NVC ###### over my case and I need to send in a letter explaining it to them.  Because they're so freaking useless they can't figure ###### out on their own. I am even more irritated than before...  I just received the tracking number from the lawyer ( FINALLY) only to find out they sent out the package before they got my email about the corrections. ( sent Wednesday from Philadelphia and received at the NVC this afternoon) I begged them to send it out... but they sent it out WRONG !   So not only is it missing the  signature but it contains the wrong amount for the 1040.    Ok, so maybe I am over reacting...  BUT I am sooooo pissed off right now.    Then I get another email  saying we need to talk, he wants us to be happy with this process.    Honestly ... It's not like they haven't had like a year to get this ###### together ahead of time.  He would sign the part that asks about the form preparer. If he prepared it and filed out the rest of the stuff, then you will probably get a checklist for that signature. Luckily, all you have to do is sign a copy, have them sign a copy, and resend it after you get the check list (for the coversheet.) And no offense, but it'll probably still be faster, even with you responding to that check list, than just waiting for the NVC to contact you.  If I were you, I'd have them just take care of the waiver, and let you deal with the NVC. They're just slowing you down at this point. And blaming you for their screw up is 100% ridiculous.  Yea, there is steam coming out of my ears right now !!!   Talked to a nice guy at the NVC. He said, it is possible that they could checklsit for the signature BUT he has never seen a checklist for that reason. ( a glimmer of hope)  He said that sometimes if there is a correction needed on the AOS, they will just update it at the interview.   So I am hoping it is only the dumb signature on the AOS. I hope they corrected the adjusted gross income and replaced it with the total income.  Seems to me the lawyer is mad that I am reading up on the process. I was right on the income number.     Don't you just love how they try to blame me for their mistake....??? really??. is that what $3300. buys these days??? Thanks Saylin, you're a gem. Apparently my lawyer is mad because I asked them to hurry and submit our packages...  Below is the email I received at 11am today.   He is blaming me now...   I am on hold with NVC to ask if his missing sugnature will cause delays. I signed the AOS appication.  There is a spot for his signature on that but I don't know what else he would sign except the cover sheet.  My husband is PISSED. The lawyer is responding to my email this morning asking if the papers were sent yesterday...   It did.  However, I feel like you put so much pressure on Dayane that she mailed it out, and she neglected to get my signature on a document.  So your wanting to get it out so fast actually worked against you. I know you read all the websites and you?re on the phone all the time with the NVC.   So let me make a proposal.  There are two ways to work this: 1) You let us take care of it, realizing that, just like at a Doctor?s office, there are other patients and understand there?ll be a wait for services that?s not too long but probably longer than you?d like.  But it will get done at a pace we are comfortable with and can give it our best.  Or: 2) You take care of all the consular processing yourself, and we just focus on the waiver.  This way, you handle all the consular processing applications and paperwork and you?ve got it in your control, and can move it as fast as you like.  That is workable.  And the waiver part, which requires a legal argument and a framework, will be handled by us, since we have the most experience and a good track record. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	How many days will NVC be taking off next week?   Here in CR we have off today, and all next week!   (which is why I had to rush send off my IV papers yesterday!)  I'm happy to not be working, but I hope NVC keeps working.  haha! I had this discussion last night with my husband.  I wanted him to call the embassy for some information... he told me all of Costa Rica is off for Juan SantaMaria holiday today and then all next week for semana santa.  The only offical holidays for the embassy is today and  the 17th and 18th .   I have off on the 18th. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	So I saw that the paralegal read my email at 7:59 pm last night.. and no response of course.   I better get a tracking numberTODAY......   I sent a package to my husband on Monday the 7th and he received it yesterday in the afternoon all the way up in the mountains of Costa Rica.   So  if a package can make it to Costa Rica and get delivered in 4 days by priority mail, then there should be no problem sending something to New Hampshire next day or even 2nd day. I am so angry at my lawyer.     What does $3300. buy these days????    I should have done everything without a lawyer since that is how it ended up anyway.  What did I pay for except a bunch of worry and anxiety.    Lawyers DO NOT expedite anything ... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	So my husband called USCIS Tuesday and they said they sent the case to NVC. NVC says they didn't receive the case as of April 9. Husband called USCIS again informing them of same. The IO told him they mailed off the case long back and if by Friday the case is not received by USCIS, then put in a complaint on Monday. NVC says the case must have been misplaced and write an e-mail to them. Congratulations Kaylara. Some cases take up to 30 days to be received.  I would bet it is sitting out on a loading dock and just hasn't been scanned in yet.    When TSC sent me the text saying the shipped my file.. I was very sceptical because it took 11 months for the USCIS to approve my case, but TSC did actually send it when they said they did and it was received only 11 days later.  I think it all depends when you get approved and when they pack up the boxes to be shipped.  I'm not sure if they ship files to NVC weekly, bi-weekly or if there even is a schedule.  It will get there.  Don't worry !!  I know they ship them DHL. And the NVC receives mail all day long... so you can call 3 times a day and you might catch the file.   The day found out my file was received, I called in the early morning and it wasn't there yet. When I called back at lunch time it had been received. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	I'm not entirely sure exactly how this works, but I've had good luck emailing the Consulate in Amsterdam and getting a response to questions, even before I have an interview date.    Maybe you can email them now and tell them that you're waiting on your case completion which should happen within the next week or two, and you are requesting as early an interview date as possible, because you are going to be having your baby about the same time you are expecting him to get his visa. Tell them your due date. I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a shot.  Either that, or I'd wait to get a case complete and then contact the Embassy immediately about this.  Almost. But if my calculations are correct, he should have his visa in hand around June 9th. That's good enough for me! June 9th is a good day. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	guys, I know this is beating a dead horse.... but I am on hold with NVC right now.. I want to verify the line item that is supposed to be used for the AOS .    Line 22 is my TOTAL income.. Correct?   My Friggin lawyer is using AGI.... which I know is INCORRECT...  Before he sends out the package, I want to call him again and insist he use the TOTAL income as per the NVC instructions.     He keeps telling me as long as the number is greater than the Poverty level for a family of 4, they won't kick it back.  I barely slept last night because I am so worried I'll get a checklist...       Opinions please....  I know I'm probably koo koo for cocoa puffs for worrying  but I really can't take this stress.
