IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Hi everyone,   Just wanted to know how many times did u call NVC for your case number? and is there a particular person to look for? I have read the Tier2?  I am hoping to get the case number for my I-130 before they received the approved I-129f..   My husband filed for a K3 but luckily we go the approval of the I-130 in 14 days and some said that we will be processing the I-130 petition. I have seen the status of my I-129f and it says that my Alien Number was changed and I know that after that, next will be approval and if it will be approved, it will also be sent to NVC.    I also read  that  "If the NVC receives the approved I-129F petition before it receives the I-130 petition, the NVC will process the I-129F petition."    Any thoughts will be appreciated..thank you :-)           Don't worry,  they will close your K3. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	I don't have to do DS261 coz I am using attorney And my attorney sent them both fees together ( money order) on Tuesday. Still its sawing as unpaid. I have an attorney too and if I waited for him to pay our fees I would still be waiting.     So I just paid them the second they were available.  I have done EVERYTHING so far. I am still not sure why I paid him .    LOL !!  and why did your attorney send money orders?  That seems odd to me.       Its 2014, they should  be up on the electronic age. I'm guessing I don't really need to send the I-864 again 'cause it doesn't really specify what was wrong with it? I just need to send the proof of US Citizenship? Right? I'm so confused. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Okay folks, I just realized I made a mistake on the i-864 (put the adjusted gross income instead of the total income!) and my joint sponsor did the same thing. But I just put it in the mail yesterday... :/ I am going to send correct i-864 forms after the weekend, but I'm wondering...can I just send the i-864 forms (without the supporting documents) or do I have to send the supporting documents for the i-864 as well? Worse yet, would I have to send the entire package again?   Thanks in advance for your help!   xx I had to do the same thing. I sent the tax transcript and a copy of the 1040 I filed along with the revised I-864 and the barcode coversheet.  I didn't want to take a chance. I asked NVC last night if it would matter that I used the same barcode coversheet with the revision and she said no, that is just fine. They will get it just the same.   IMO, send it asap so you don't waste any time.  I keep calling to see if they received the second AOS package. I hope it will get logged in today. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Some people call every day.  I waited until two weeks after my NOA2 to call (still wasn't there), and then called weekly until it was.  At what service center was your I-130?  Sometimes they forward really quickly (I think CSC is the fastest) and sometimes it takes forever (TSC for sure - that's where MINE was!).   Good luck!   Sukie   I was approved at TSC.  Approved 3/18. Shipped to NVC 3/21 Arrived, logged in and case number 4/1.   So it is possible that it may go fast. It all depends on how often they ship.  It also depends how fast they receive the files at the NVC.  I called everyday when I found out my file was shipped.  Just for kicks really. I didn't expect them to move so fast.  I was calling 3 times a day after 5 days.  I called in the early am on April 1st and they had not received it yet. I called at lunch time and I was given the case number and IIN number. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Ok, I have questions. Do they fingerprint you at your interview??? Ok, next question. Saylin the police cert I am sure you are familiar with in Canada are on a long yellow form. Well back when my husband was told at the border that he needed a waiver to visit the US I think that all that came up on their screen was that he had a assault charge. They had no way of knowing what kind of assault because on the yellow form all it says is assault. But when he applied for the waiver he had fingerprinting done and a more detailed report he received that stated it was assault 266cc which is simple assault which is why he was granted the waiver . I just read that as a general rule, simple assault or battery is not deemed to involve moral turpitude for purposes of the immigration laws. So this is giving me hope that we will not be denied a visa at our interview. If they see it was just a simple assault and not a crime of moral turpitude how could they ask us to get a waiver. I wish i could get answers. I am not sleeping well at all. Have you consulted a lawyer?  I know we need a waiver because my husband overstayed a B2 visa. He doesn't have a criminal history so I can't comment on the assault.  We have a lawyer who has been useless for the first leg of this journey. But we really hired him because of the waiver.    I would recommend consulting with an immigration attorney who specializes in waivers. Or call the embassy and ask them.   Have the waiver ready so you don't waste any more time. Did I make a mistake by sending the revised AOS before the incorrect AOS was reviewed? No, I was about to suggest that you send it in right away if you know what the mistakes were. You saved yourself time   2. will they just process the revised version and finish processing the rest? Yes, it was a good thing that you sent the new AOS  right away.   3. what about the DS260? Apparently it goes from Completed to "On File At Post" when it ships off to the embassy/consulate, but there's no interim status on CEAC.    That is what I thought..  SO I keep calling too !!   I think I have a week or so to go yet.   Probably longer..     THANKS ! I hope you hear the magic words soon "case Complete".   Good luck Oh I agree....  Can't wait to have him here so we can get on with our lives.   We talk about how we just want the interview to be over so we can submit the waiver and only have that to wait for.   All this craziness is just too much.    I hope the waiver approvals pick up the pace.  I really dread another 8 months wait.      I wonder how long it will take for them to give me the case complete.... I worry about the first AOS package and how fast the revision will get logged in.      I can't wait to tell my husband something good.    When we were waiting for the approval from the TSC, I imagined myself calling him and screaming that we were approved.  What actually happened was we had a fight that night  on the phone but it ended fine.  We hung up and I was half asleep at 10:15 while watching TV.  I keep my phone next to me in bed so I can hear the alarm in the morning.   So I received 2 text messages at 10:15pm and I remember thinking " Who the hell is texting me this late?"  I looked at my phone and saw the emails telling me to check my status.  I fumbled to the website and saw our approvals. I called my husband back and I couldn't even talk. He said HELLO, I said HI, he said  WHATS WRONG ? ( because I just hung up 15 minutes before) I couldn't even speak... I said very quietly....  We are approved.... He said WHAT??   I said We are approved.... he said... say it again, I need to make sure I heard you correctly...  LOL  Then the next day when we talked, the first thing he said to me before Hello  was,  " say it again please, I wanna hear it again"     so cute !   so here we are at NVC.  I didn't expect to go this fast.  ( knock on wood)  but we waited 11 months and 6 days at the USCIS . IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Question regrading civil documents:   Do I have to submit ORIGINAL civil documents (birth certifcate, marriage cert, Police cert etc) to NVC? or copies will be acceptable for now and my parents can take originals at the Interview in Mumbai, India.   My concern is that if I send Originals to NVC - what if they are lost??   I would appreciate reply from folks who have already gone thru the process.   Thanks! Is that possible after AOS package to send the I-130 in Embassy? Her case was unusual.. She started to pursue the K3. She did her medical and filled out the  DS160 and was ready to go and then they closed the K3 and just shipped her I-130 to the embassy. I am assuming because it was their mistake they just decided to finish the process at the embassy. She said that it takes 2 weeks for AoS fees. BS but I had nothing to say to her. I guess I have to wait again Was she Joyful today??    HA HA HA HA   I hate how they give out that broad timeline.  they just let them sit in a corner and take one pile at a time.  I wish I knew who put a yellow expedite  sticky on my file  . I would love to thank them.     I wonder if they made us wait 11 months to see if our relationship is real....  since this is not the first time I petitioned for someone...  So much ####### goes through my head these days.    I think my head makes up scenerios and I start believing them ..  Mental disorder caused by the immigration process.     my husband lived here before so he can't wait to get back to the American ways.  Costa Rica is beautiful but it is hard to get ahead.  I would move there if I could but I have kids here so it just isn't possible .   I think I would miss the shopping in the US too much..... Only 4 days after I got my case number.   I don't understand why it is taking so long for everyone to get a case number and pay fees.. Documents were logged in on 4-15-14 but nothing for the revison.    But I asked a few questions... Will the NVC kick back my AOS completed by the lawyer with the wrong income amount EVEN THOUGH it is still higher than the poverty level? She said , no BUT you want it to be correct for the Embassy.    Is it going to be a problem that I didn't go back 10 years for my husbands employment on the DS260? She said no, they won't kick it back for that. They get much more serious mistakes on the DS260. We can just provide the additional info at the interview.   so for now I can relax.     Oh yea, and I asked if they are open tomorrow....  ( I had to ask) She said YES ! ! ! ! !     HOORAY !! ! He said they will review whatever docs come in first. I'll probably get a checklist but they will review the second package and update it.   I thanked Alan for being so nice.   I told him the men who answer the phones are much nicer than the women over there. I've been waiting almost a month, is this normal. This is really depressing!!!!!!!!!!! SO odd.   I was able to do everything  right away....  They kept your K3  for so friggin long without logging in your I-130.    And I begged them to lose my I-130 and process my K3. I have no idea  how we got a case number so fast.  I'm not complaining . It just kills me to see everyone waiting.     I wish DVman would chime in . I want to know his status. We had the same filing date and were sent to TSC on the same day. He was approved a couple weeks before me but TSC didn't ship him out right away.   He also had a K3.   WHERE ARE YOU DVman?? I have been begging for info since the day it went out)   I open the link for the amended form and she still  has my husbands name incorrect.....   Is this lady for real??   I responded saying I have the correct package ready to go and I will  overnight it on my way home from work.
