IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	My case was just received today !!   I had to ask her if it was a joke ( because its April Fool's day )  she laughed !   No case number yet and she gave me the 20 day #######. I asked about the K3 and she said they get processed faster.... so I told her I'll call back tomorrow.  She laughed again.      OH HAPPY DAY !!!  I was starting to doubt whether TSC really sent it.... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	Posting my question here, as I assume March thread will be closed soon.   NVC said we would have to wait for DS260 to be completed and accepted before we can ask for the police report.  Has anyone heard this before?  My husband just called the registry here and they said they can give it (the police record) to him without an official request.  But, information can be really unreliable in this country.  (US embassy told me to call back tomorrow as the immigrant visa people evidently only work from 9am-11am.  I want that job)   Any thoughts? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Background Security Checks on i130 Petition	Once they told me I was undergoing "additional" background checks it took about a month maybe a little less  for them to clear me and send to an officer.  It is such BS because they held my file for 10.5 months before doing anything with it. And I don't believe for one second that it was additional checks... I think it was them just starting from scratch but ran out of excuses.     They are lucky I got an approval last night because today I was planning on making tons of phone calls about the new posted processing times. 5 Months at TSC is a slap in the face after I waited 11 months.  I learned that they do more lying than anything else. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Case Status Change	Our case status just changed to:  On May 19, 2014, we received your correspondence for your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN . You will receive a notice in the mail when further action is taken on this case.   We sent in an expedite request last week and they received our backup documentation last Friday.. I'm assuming it's just acknowledgement of receipt of evidence, but a part of me is also very excited that it means more Anyone else get this in relation to an expedite or know what it means? its just acknowleding your correspondence. I just checked this morning, and the DS261 I completed about a month ago is showing as'incomplete' this morning.     is this normal? Should I resubmit it? I"m worried resubmitting it will delay further the processing.   Right now, I'm at a point where I am waiting for the aos and iv packet to be reviewed from may 7th. did you print it out?  I have mine printed and ready to take to the interview....   Don't touch it...  call the NVC first.   Mine still says COMPLETED Edited by LoveMyTico, 23 May 2014 - 06:51 PM. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Help..i don't know what it means	On May 20, 2014, we received your correspondence for your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN . You will receive a notice in the mail when further action is taken on this case.     We received the NOA2 on May 12. I called NVC the lady said that they don't have my case. I am confused. My hubby doesn't want to call to find out.  We did not send anything to them aside from the applications before. And now, the status is back to initial review. But my case summary still shows N/A under the section of AOS documents. When the status will change? After scanning or acceptance? How much time they are taking now a days to review the documents? its not going to change. It is a new format they just rolled out.. So far, everyone's says N/A. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	no, we did not, and i barely called them, so i think the more hands off approach might help them just get on with it, who knows.   Sorry i noticed quite of a few of you said the same thing and it made me feel bad- a little. Maybe it is because ours was a checklist for a document not previously asked for- as in it was not a mistake on our part or them losing something- they just wanted more info, so it was very simple, also another reason we seemed to jump the line is maybe it makes a difference that we have a lawyer sending it all in with their coverletter etc.. not sure - seems there is little rhyme of reason. I don't think it has anything to do with easy or difficult. They review mail by the date received.  I think someone just picked up the wrong box.  The same as when I got my case number the same day my case was received at the NVC.  I didn't have to wait 30 days for a case number. I paid my invoices together and everything was complete and sent in within 8 days.   They didn't like my husbands birth cert so here we wait...   My lawyer sent a cover letter too. I don't think that makes a bit of difference. And calling once a month or 4 times a day doesn't make a difference either.    Its all just LUCK..   They are backlogged. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Congrats and good luck!!           When did you submit the DS-261?  As that's what leads to IV invoicing.       If you hit the multiquote button for each post you'll want to end up responding to, a tally accumulates at the bottom of your screen saying something like 'Respond to 5 quotes' in a little blue box (at least blue on my screen).  When you're ready to reply, hit that button and all the quotes appear in a reply box similar to replying to only one.   Type your responses in between each quote and that's it   got it no news for me.  supervisor hasn't reviewed my case yet... that is so strange.... it only took 2 days for mine each time. And she didn't answer any of my questions. Doesn't know what dates they are reviewing right now and she said "maybe next week" when I asked whether they were close to May 5th. I also told her that the cover sheet for the checklist says "20 business days" and she said, "you have to allow 30..." For the second time. She was no help and sounded like she hated her job. I don't know why I bother calling. What if they really did lose my package or something?? Now I'm worried. Without a CC, no interview. Without a interview, I can't buy plane tickets and prices were $1800 last night!!! OMG   and I was crying about $625. I know the feeling... The AOS was available to be paid no we did n the DS-261 also was available and completed on May 12th . But the stupid IV is not available to be paid . Hey don't lose hope I know exactly how you feel... We started our journey on May 14th of last year .... But I tell myself this will have a happy ending for all of us Inshalla. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	I'm talking about the following (see attachment)  I've completed the DS 260 and that says completed out beside it.  under it says AOS fee N/A  (which I paid since May 5 or so) as well as under the financial documentation.  However, under the IV is says paid under the fee section and N/A ( which I've paid the fee already also).  So my question is why or what does the N/A mean under the AOS??? Sort of freaking out a little because it all of a sudden changed   Thanks for any insight guys!! don't freak out. You already paid and you can prove it.  Just call and verify that they received the payment. The format is new and things are all screwed up. But I have butterflies in my stomach. It's probably all for nothing. I'll end up going to bed crying and watching old episodes of NCIS:LA to console me lol. eat one for me...I'm trying to chill out on meat since the Dr. told me I gained 12 lbs since last Febraury. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Terrible commute home.  It's pouring, our car is a POS and a window doesn't close all the way, and while you think the rain would be the worst part- it's not.  The worst part is a truck splashing a bunch of filthy street water on you through the cracked window.  There was also: an exploded truck on the highway, a broken down truck on the highway, a truck in a crash on the highway, and a truck completely blocking a street.  My normal 20 minute commute took an hour.  And I was wet with street water.   I need to get out of this freaking country!!!!!  I need my CASE COMPLETE!!     I feel your pain. I know the rain in Costa Rica.  My husband sent me a message saying it was pouring in the Mountains.  When it rains, you can't even hear the TV or talk on the phone. I can only stay about 10 days when his interview is scheduled. Then back to the grind to file the waiver and wait another 6-8 months.  I am not sure if I will be able to afford another flight in between.  .  My house needs a few repairs and they aren't minor ones. The roof is leaking and I need to find someone to patch it who won't charge   my first born child  and I really need a new heater.. I don't even want to think about that cost.   and there are a few other things. I have to say that she is one of the nicest operators I have talked to there.   Some good news, my IV documents were reviewed and accepted on April 28. Unfortunately I received a checklist for my AOS documents. My reply to the checklist was scanned in on May 6. I asked good ole Jenny if she had any estimate of when my AOS would be reviewed and she said "They are currently working on May 6 and some stragglers from May 5. You should call back after 9:30pm. You might have case complete tonight."   She also gave me the standard 30 business days spew. OMG.  everyone who has a date up to May 6th needs to get on the phone tonight.
