IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Any other Case Completes today or Interview dates? I am waiting to call them after 5pm to give them some time to work.    Haven't heard from LoveMyTico....any news girl? file is with a supervisor. The screen showed that more mail was received on the 12th. I told Kendall they better check on that because I only sent one package and it was scanned on the 8th. She put me on hold and asked the supervisor ( she told me she is new there)   Came back and told me that the scan on the 12th is actually them scanning the mail into the file and now it is waiting for the supervisor to look at it.  So... I will call back tonight to get my last call in before the dreaded weekend.       Still don't have my car back...  7 days at the mechanic...  it only needs one thing and the part was not delivered until today.. At least I hope so.   I'm home cleaning my closet ( making room for my honey)  Its pouring rain in the Philly Burbs... what an ugly day !!   I really want to fly to Costa Rica... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Please tell me on either the I-864 or I-864EZ where don't you have to put the last 3 years of tax returns?  You have to write a number or "did not file"...     You don't have to send 3 years of tax returns or tax return transcripts but you still must put down on the form itself what you made unless you were not required to file.      You can try to prove me wrong  but I'm telling you. I did not include any of the previous tax information. Its not on my new laptop so I would have had to look it up. I know for sure I just included the 2013 tax transcript and I only provided the income for that year.   Also ,  my lawyer never requested any of that information either.  The AOS  was accepted just fine. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Yup, you'll have to list the past three years of income on the I-864 and provide documentation for at least the most recent year. You can send along more documentation if you want, and honestly, I don't think I've seen anyone send the bare minimum for the AOS. Especially now that tax return transcripts are so easy to get online. I sent only my 2013 transcripts. The only reason I was check listed is because the lawyer used the wrong dollar amount.  I fixed it and sent another copy of the 2013 transcript with the coversheet. We obviously all have a desire for more information than the average person (or we wouldn't be here), but sometimes it is really helpful and even necessary for me to take a step back from both this site, but the whole process, and simply let things happen as they are anyway without my constant concern or involvement. This won't be a popular opinion here, but when calling NVC every few hours with no different result only makes you more unhappy, that is your sign that you're making things worse on yourself. Calling once a day, or once every 2-3 days, won't change the end result but hopefully will calm the exposed nerve that is never allowed to heal by a constant expectation for information and updates that won't come. I asked about June interviews. She said the end is coming soon and i should forget about a June interview..its not gonna happen. Maybe July ....and she wasn't nice about it either. Im finished with day shift idiots. They could be much nicer. I'm on my phone today because I'm working out of another office. My mustang needs a new steering column so its at the shop til tomorrow. For us they accepted my birth certificate after a supervisor review and generated an updated checklist. Was not expecting an approval on that birth certificate, so kind of sad that I spend over 150 dollars to get them a different version with apostilles.. sigh! I only sent the certified copy issued by the Civil Registry in Costa Rica with the EFFFINGGG stamp they said the original is missing.  They accepted the translation of that dang document. Now when I call, they tell me they only have the translation, no birth cert...  ( where do they think the translation came from?)  I was also told that the birth cert I just sent does NOT need to be translated. Does this mean I have to wait for a July interview? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Called the NVC and got our case number today YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked what the IIN  was and the agent told me I could use either the case number or the receipt number. So I attempted to login to the US department of state website and Im getting this error-   "The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance."   Should I call back to the NVC or is this normally happen? I'm so confused I am positive the case number is correct I had her repeat it and I repeated it back to her. Please help!!   sometimes they don't like to give the IIN number for some stupid reason. Can't you see the big "L" on my forehead...    My big Friday night is going to consist of chatting with my honey from 9-10  and then sitting on hold with the NVC to get my "last chance"  call in before the weekend.  UGHHHHH    What will life be like when he is finally here?  What will I do without a call to him every night and calling the NVC????  GOOD LORD....   I still have the waiver to wait out and that will super suck because that goes to Satan's house at the NSC.  At the mercy of the USCIS yet again.  Shoot me now !!!!! I asked what day they were processing, she acted like she was looking something up  and came back and said May 1st....  which we all know is the biggest BULL #######  FEST EVER.      I did not know there were 2 shifts though.... Or they will upate in system? they do NOT update the system.  You have to call for everything.   The only thing you will see change is the fees when they are paid and the DS260 when its complete.    When you get the scan date, that is when your clock starts to tick. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Ok guys, I've been waiting since early Tuesday morning for the INTERVIEW LETTER and was getting more and more depressed each day.  I noticed this morning that people were calling to get the interview date so I though, WTH, and called.   A nice young lady answered the phone and said that my interview had been scheduled several days ago (Tuesday, Wednesday?) and they are behind in sending out the emails!  You know, if they would put more effort into the emails then there wouldn't be so many calls!  Duh!   Anyway, interview (for now) is July 9, 7:30 AM HOORAY ! ! ! ! !  you go girl Got my interview date , JULY 15, 2014 at 7.30 AM, Mumbai Embassy Wow, that was fast !!  Good for you !!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	yup, it's stamped/signed like the original but now has "true copy" and "29-5-2014" written on it to show it's certified. they have pictures that they reference when reviewing the documents.  For Costa Rica, they only have a picture of the certified copy. When I explained what the original looked like, they explained that they can only accept what they explained as the certified copy. So why have original or certified copy in the instructions if you only accept one thing???  They frustrate me...   I would have had a CC on May 1st if it weren't for this dumb Birth Cert fiasco.  GRRRRRR  I lost a month already..   The USCIS had no problem with it.      They should seriously hire people who previously went through the process. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	ah gotcha.  i requested a certified copy from the local registrar where the wedding took place and they wrote "true copy" on it to signify that it's a certified copy.  i guess i'll leave a note in my checklist that this is all the registrar does in this town when you request a certified copy.. it was explained to me that it needs to have the official stamp from the civil registry ( at least in CR)   so as long as they stamped it with their offical stamp and signed it, you should be fine. Welcome and Congrats !   Start off by reading the NVC wiki in the first post of this thread. You can add your name to the spread sheet too.  There is a link for adds and updates.   Saylin will probably start a new thread today or tomorrow so make sure you hop over there.  The NVC process starts a new thread every month.
