NBC	this sucks still waiting for an approval, congressman haven't answered yet so we don't know what else to do! at this point things are critical money  issues we are trying to be strong but is hard to not miss each other and argue everyday, of course we are tired of this and we can't wait to be together this really stinks now we don't know till when we going to meet again since last vacas he spent over 3k and we don't have money to blow anymore   all our plans and money r just fading away because of a stupid immigration bs !!     I would sincerely appreciate any advice because we have tried a lot and now seems like nothing works for USCIS anymore they keep telling us that we have to wait and wait and wait...    MY BIRTHDAY was last sat and we couldn't celebrate it together , been away for 1 year and 2 months and seeing him every three or five months is not enough     pd march 19 2013 case was transferred Nov 8th ( even tho stupid email we got from nebraska center nthey said it was the 6th) XXXX WAITING WAITING WAITING This process does SUCK !!   have you tried the Senator's instead of the congressman?   Hit up your Senator.   Send an email to NSC everyday.   TSC is hearing from me everyday this week. And I put in a couple service requests 2 weeks ago and I called the Senator's office today  to move it along. NBC	Finally   got approved.  thank  u  kaylara  for  help.  this morning  i  received  two  emai  ,   the  first one  on  500am On January 14, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.   the  second  one   715  am   On January 14, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.   but  the  second  one  is  supposed  to  come  earlier  than the first  one, anyway  i am  so  happy ,  somebody  can  give me  a   nvc  thread, Reply Report Edit Delete   Congrats !  Where was your file processed? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-130 MARCH 2013 FILERS!! NBC	I checked my preceding case numbers and they have already been either approved or rfe. The 2 closet case numbers to mine have been requested for evidence on 13 January 2014. Do you guys think I should receive the update soon?. Do you know if USCIS centers work based on sequence order of case number?. My case was transferred to TSC on 23 October, reply to the service request dated Dec 4 2013 stating my case was with an adjudicating officer and I should receive a decision or notice within 60 days (which is nonsense as we all know). I was wondering how long a case is assigned to an officer before it actually gets worked on... I was told on Dec 30th that my case was assigned to an officer and I should hear something within 30 business days.   I am also at the TSC /Nov 27th      The senators office told me she will request an expedite for me if they haven't done something with my case by that time because they gave a specific timeframe. The mail still hasn't been reviewed  so these people are   ^@%#$$^$'s   Tessa started out yelling at me  but  then realized that I was genuinely confused. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	ANOTHER EFFFINGGGGGGGG CHECKLIST ASKING FOR A BIRTH CERTIFICATE !! ! !  I just talked to them no more than 2 hours ago and I was told they weren't going to review my file again until they got to the mail that is sitting there..  So I am hoping they are just idiots and the supervisor did actually look again at my file and saw that the mail is not opened yet....    ####### is going on here???    on hold again...God help the nasty operator who picks up the phone now..... I better not hear that the certified birth cert is not good enough.....at this point I have no idea what they want. I have turned in to Etrangais today...   This operator I just talked to... can't remember who she was...   Her: the operator yesterday never should have requested a supervisor review. Me: She was confused as to why they were reviewing it again yesterday without the new mail.   It was already reviewed almost 2 weeks ago, They sent me a checklist for the Birth Cert already.  Her: ( nasty)  They aren't going to review it again. You just have to wait . They didn't even look at your mail that is waiting...   Me: that isn't what I was told this morning. I was told it is being reviewed right now.  Not just scanned in, its actually with someone. Her: you just have to wait... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Hey guys, after you've paid the fees and it has been deducted from your account, how long will it take to show as paid?     From Saylin's WIKI   Step 4 - AOS Package   Once the AOS fee appears as PAID in the payment portal (which typically just takes a few business days after you pay it), you can send the AOS package. This package is all about the petitioner and whether or not they can financially support the intending immigrant(s). You don't need to wait for instructions from NVC about sending the package. As long as the respective bill has been paid in the payment portal, you can send in your package. Note: members have had luck sending the packages as soon as they pay the bills (since the bar-coded cover sheet becomes available after paying). If you're not going to wait for it to appear as PAID in the portal, at least wait until the money has cleared the bank account. The address to send the package can be found on the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal. And it doesn't matter where the package is sent from (either in the US or abroad). As long as NVC receives it, that's all they care about. Note: the two packages (AOS and IV) can either be mailed separately or together. Either one works. Again, as long as NVC receives it, that's all that matters. If you do decide to mail them together, I suggest putting each in a separate manila envelope (and clearly mark it and write "AOS" or "IV" on each one), then putting both manila envelopes inside the shipping envelope. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	The actual NVC reviewers work 8 AM to 5 PM. I will hold and not call until noon at least. I see people here with packets scanned in on the 24th and they are still not reviewed yet. Little chance of seeing anything change today in my case!!!   Good luck to all!!!!!!!!! never say never...  Yesterday they were trying to review my case AGAIN without the mail  that was only scanned in on the 8th..  SO YOU NEVER KNOW.... I received a checklist and 2 reminders very close to each other and then yesterday a note in my file in the early am looking for the Birth certificate.    I have to laugh because I sent that certificate in as fast as I possibly could. I don't want to be embarassed again!       Yesterday I laughed because you were embarrassed.. but honestly, I find nothing wrong with calling 4 times a day..  NOTHING AT ALL.  You paid the required fees... that includes customer service.. They are paid to answer the phones.. They should not be commenting on the calls that  come through because that is their job security.  Call every hour if you want.  I call 3 times a day sometimes.  In my experience if you don't get good news in the early am  you can absolutely get something good by noon  and if not Noon,  you can for sure get a different answer at night. I just found out that my file is with a supervisor AGAIN...  Mel said it can take up to 10 days for this review.  (sigh)  I swear if they lost that birth certificate I will lose my mind !!  I'm hoping the review only takes a day.  They told me the supervisor review takes 30 days the first time, and the supervisor reviewed it the next day   This petty little BS is so painful.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	You're right!  You can't change the past so there is no sense in thinking about it.     I could have applied for a fiance visa and that would have been faster.  Well, I thought it would be faster if we got married and applied for a IR1/CR1 visa.     It's unfortunate, but that's life.     Since I've been not so lucky in this process, I'm hoping I've used up all my bad luck so I'll finish the NVC stage without a single checklist.   unlucky doesn't even to begin to describe my journey.. It took 11 months for the USCIS to approve us...  I watched everyone get approve left and right. That was so hard !!   Its almost over though   !!!    If the USCIS only took 7 months, I would be just about home free by now...  We still have a waiver to file that is another 6-8 more months of waiting. So if doesn't apply do I just call them up and bring it to their attention and then cancel it or something? I'm new to the whole checklist thing, obviously.  I got checklisted for a Police Certificate.. Its not required for Costa Rica at the NVC.   I just called and asked for a supervisor review and it was removed a day later even though they tell you that the review takes up to 30 days !!    The reviewers obviously don't know all the rules for each country.  If that is all you get checklisted for, you should get a case complete when they remove it. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Well the starting rate is $70.  When I mailed my marriage certificate for an RFE I paid $70 to mail 3 pieces of paper.  Unfortunately I can't send regular mail since the mail here is awful.  That's why I hate so much when I get RFE or checklist!  Another $70!  I swear USCIS and NVC are in cahoots with DHL...   If beneficiary is keeping their job you send proof of employment for them.  Otherwise, just petitioner. Do you use Fedex?   My esposo sent his birth cert a couple Fridays ago and my fedex account was only charged $46 for over night  morning delivery.  One piece of paper in the envelope.    He checked off "Bill the recipient".    International always requires a signature so I had them hold it and I went and picked it up.. and of course addressed another envelope and mailed it right out to the NVC. How long should I wait before I call to see if they've been scanned into the system and then later on, accepted? it should take 2-4 days...  Then the clock starts. It takes about 2 weeks for them to review everything.  Each package goes to a different department so you might get a false checklist .. Don't freak out.. if it asks for the IV package and you know you already sent it, that means the checklist is false and they just didn't get to it yet.  If it asks for specific items like tax transcripts or employment letter, then you can assume its a real checklist... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	So here is my Monday morning update.. ( I couldn't wait to call...) Cindy picked up .. I asked for an update, she said they are just waiting for the birth cert and there is mail that has not been reviewed... as I was saying I didn't expect any news she said  WAIT.. there is a note in the file dated May 12th ( today)  it says they are waiting for birth cert .. they have the translation but no Birth cert..  and Cindy said she is confused because they were reviewing it today but the mail is still showing NOT REVIEWED.. so why did they put a note in the file  for the birth cert without looking at the mail... SOOOO she said she would send that over to them to review right now.   I asked if it would be reviewed today and of course she said she can't guarantee   but she laughed as I told her she is soooo AWESOME !!!     Now,  If my mechanic would just call to tell me I don't need a new ignition... that it was just a loose part... I'd be happy !! ( very doubtful  but I can dream)    My husband is at the mechanics in Costa Rica with his car.  He only needs a  $12 repair for inspection... so finally good things are happening. All three of my kids and my mom hung out with me !!   It was excellent weather in the Philly suburbs.  My dog even got a bath yesterday !! LOL    Nevermind the fact that my car broke down in a Lowe's parking lot while I was buying flowers for my mother on Saturday morning. Turns out it needs a new ignition. Had to have it towed to my house since the mechanic is not open on Saturdays.. Bummed a ride to work this morning  ( which was difficult since I work 45 minutes away)  Waiting to contact the mechanic this morning to have him drag my car to the shop.     When it rains, it pours !!   ANYWAY, I hope this is my week. !!!    I want out of the NVC hell hole. I am looking forward to hanging out around the house tomorrow,  My sweet husband told me that we  will go to the gym every  night when he is home. I told him I am so annoyed with this stress and how disgusting I feel... and of course he had sweet things to say...It made me miss him even more.  I always tell him about the conversations on this thread.      I'm on hold as a  last ditch effort  for something good to end this week.   Probably nothing new... but it makes me feel better ..     GOOD VIBES TO EVERYONE.. I wonder how often that happens and if its something they control or not.
