you need the beneficary (in this case Tico)'s passport number to register.

Oh yea yea, I saw that. But I need my husband's passport number and at the moment his cell is broken.  Should be getting it back today so he can send it to me.   Sux cuz I am used to texting back and forth all day long and right now I am limited to evening calls to the landline cuz he works outside all day.    I'll get it from him and then check it out.  Thanks for posting it !

They told me yesturday my I-129F was terminated and then after I called back they told me it is undergoing administrative processing.

Today they told me it will be sent to the embassy next week for visa processing.

Don't worry about what they say! Just "wait" and see!!!!!

IF I learned one thing from this entire process... its that the people who answer the phones have no clue what is going on and they shouldn't even be answering the phone in the first place.    I'll wait for sure ... because if it is taking 29 days to even receive the I-130. The K-3 will already be at the embassy. And Costa Rica is super easy to deal with.  I feel good about the K3. I don't want to JINX myself  but for once I have a good feeling

Ok I m gonna mail them today then. And one more thing how did u do a 'show read request'? I mean how can u get the notification if the person read it? I would be using gmail.

I use outlook and Verizon. I only use gmail for rmy phone..  Check the settings.. I don't know if Gmail has that setting.

it comes in handy because I am impatient. At least that feature lets me know that there is life over there.

Took them 29 days to give us our case no. etc. Thank God we the 129 moving forward otherwise I'd crack!! Every step of way is hassle!!! Was told by the lady I spoke to yesterday it will take 2 weeks to put it on the system. By that time I'll have had my medical and maybe have an idea how long it will be to K3 interview.

29 days to get a case number for K-3? or the I-130?   I thought your K-3 was sent right out.  That is the way it usually happens.  But I guess you weren't  really expecting the K-3 to get to the embassy??

I was approved Tues the 18th.  I'm going to start calling Monday. But yesterday I did send an email to the NVC asking if my case was transferred since I received an email from TSC saying my case was no longer at their facility, that it was at the NVC and I need to contact them.

So u basically sent the same letter to everybody at the same time and CC and BCCd them? And u copied scopsscata response in that email as well?

I sent the response I received from SCOPSSCATA to  Rendell Jones.   but of course I wrote something too.  It was a rather sarcastic blurb but I was just so sick of the lies.  I was not going to take one more "wait 30 days for a response"   that is why I sent it many many times to every person.

im so happy for u lovemytico

please pray for me to get my approval asap

i so dont know what should i do !!!!!!!!!!!!

Write a letter and email it regularly.  The one that got most attention for me was when I emailed the letter at 8am then again at noon. I sent it with a read receipt request so I knew they read it.  When I copied Donald Neufeld ..that is when people started noticing .    Send the same letter to the same people.

SCOPSSCATA@uscis.dhs.gov
 Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov,
 donald.w.neufeld@uscis.dhs.gov,
 OLUInquiries@dhs.gov"

It is horrific how they make us beg and then the same service centers are processing files from September.  its hard to be in the NVC thread because there are people getting case completes who filed in June.  Sorry, but I'm not over being pissed off that my file took so long to approve.

And now that I think about it... I sent the letter to  Rendell.jones@dhs.gov the morning I was approved and he read it early i the morning right after I sent it. I sent the letter but forwarded the response I got from SCOPSSCATA saying they were researching my case and would get back to me... I asked how long does it really take to look in to my case? It is ridiculous that I have to wait 11 months..blah blah blah    That night i was approved.   So who ever he is, it seemed to help.

I am seriously thinking of mailing my IV documents with the AOS. My ds261 went on June 10 so IV wouldn't be there before July first week. That's way too long. And even if we don't save any time atleast we would know if there is any checklist and no extra time will go in that. One month for an invoice is ridiculous. And they shouldn't get lost if the supervisor said so himself right? :|

hmmm If I were you, I would send it.  By the time they get around to invoicing you, they should be reviewing it !! It will save you some time. Make sure you print out 2 barcode sheets and put one with each package.

So... my wife (Shanelly) (her nickname), called back for the supervisor she spoke to yesterday, explained to her the statement is there about the UK doesn't provide W-2's, only P60's, saw both were there and removed the checklist..  :joy:  :joy: .

Now we can relax and have a good weekend. Will probably call back on Monday morning just to make sure it was removed though. (Can't trust them all at once can we?! :D.

I cant take it...I just got email checklist. I feel like a knife has been plunged into my heart. No chance now to get my wife here in August. :( Lawyers are worthless!

It says its for Item 13.a.1   Total gross income reported...I DID put total gross income!!! Damnit! I am so depressed!

line 22 from the 1040.. that is what it should be.   Do you have a copy of the AOS on your computer?  My lawyer insisted on using the wrong number and we even argued over it. He told me as long as the number is more than the poverty number then they won't ding me  for it.. WELL... I didn't trust a word e said so I corrected it and sent it 2 days later.  I eventually got check listed for that exact issue and I was happy as he!! that I sent the correction instead of waiting.    I told my lawyer to back off during the NVC stage.   Lawyers are useless. The only thing having a lawyer helped me with was being able to pay both fees 4 days after I got my case number...  After that.... he was USELESSSSSSSSSSS  and I still can't get him on the phone since I went down to talk about the waiver 3 weeks ago.

Just to clarify.....I am not angry at bdrew.. or anyone here..  and if I said what I wanted about the process I would get banned from this thread.   I have my interview date and this part of the journey is almost over for us... what gets me every time is if the USCIS would have processed my I-130 in the 5 months they are processing now, my husband would actually be entering the US in July.  Since we had to wait 11 months and 6 days for that dang approval and another 2 months at NVC.... we can't file the waiver until we complete the interview.  Then we are at the mercy of the NSC for another 6-8 MORE months.   I try and track the I-601 waivers on the other thread on VJ  and another forum but it makes me depressed.  I have seen a few getting approved in 5 months lately ( Decemebr filers)  but I know the journey  is probably another 6-8 months for us.  My goal when I started at the NVC was to get my husband here by December. Now with a July interview, we are probably looking at February or March  .... unless we file an expedite and it gets approved....    THIS is why I get so angry at the quick appprovals. Its not anger towards the filers.

Wasn't the idea for the I-130s to move faster? I really hate seeing posts from people complaining about the I-130s moving faster just because it didn't happen to us. I'm sure my opinion isn't going to be popular, but I don't think it's right to poo-poo on someone for getting thru faster. Congrats to the fast approvals! I'm happy to see that our letters shifted their tooshies into gear and those who filed behind us are reaping the benefits. That was the point of our letters! Not just for us to get through quickly, but everyone.

Sorry but I don't feel all warm and fuzzy when I think about the 11 months and 6 long days I had to wait for the USCIS to approve my file.  :clock:

I have nothing against the actual people, it just makes me so so  sick to my stomach that this happens.   How can they approve a petition in a month when they let others dangle on the end of a thread for 11 months?  Then to spend 2 more months at the NVC.... ridiculous checklists for stupid sh!t that can be brought to the interview..... This is the main reason why I can't even be on this thread anymore.  I read all the posts but it annoys me me that all these people are stuck waiting to pay a dang fee and send in their packages..... then stupid checklists........  I can't stand it anymore.

I spent 11 months at the USCIS, I feel like I have every reason to complain !

I just got through and spoke to Arthur, My difficulty logging in yesterday was because they changed our case number to Paris, which is what we wanted. It seems this will reset everything and we will need to wait to fill out our DS-261. Arthur told me that it is now 20 days from the date your case number is assigned until you receive any communication about the DS-261 from the NVC. So I guess we wait again. We're pleased that the case is assigned to the proper embassy now, though.

How did you get approved in such a ridiculously short period of time?

How long did the supervisor review take? She asked to put one in because it clearly shows in the 2013 tax returns that she didn't work in the US and there's no W-2's. They said it would take 30 business days for the review, and especially since she asked to speak with one. What if they don't accept it? Won't it delay it more? :/

they told me it would take 30 days too but it only took a day. Ask to speak with a supervisor. Don't just put a request for a review. Don't take no for an answer.

My tax return and tax transcripts but my W-2 has decimals on it for my gross income. I sent a copy of the W-2 with the copy of the return. Will NVC have a problem with this? They better not, as the IRS sure as heck didn't.

As long as you used the total income on your AOS if you filed the 1040.   It has to match or they will reject it !

We received a checklist today. For something so incredibly STUPID. I'm going to emphasise the word STUPID here. The wife worked in the UK last year, she sent all the paper work in she sent to her CPA with her 2013 taxes and the P60 form. We got a checklist for the W-2 forms, which we even made a statement stating they do not PROVIDE w-2 forms in the UK. Everything else was accepted.  :ranting:  :ranting:

Supervisor review, or just send in the statement? Or do both?!

CALL and ask for supervisor Sylvia. She is amazing. She is day shift.  Tell her the facts and see if she can remove the silly item from the checklist.

They checklisted me for a police cert. I asked for a suervisor review and the next day it was removed.  Its worth a try. They do make mistakes ya know !!!!   Call them on it. If you don't ask you will never know....

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - June 2014

Quick Question!   :huh2:

I'm on the I-130 Facebook group.  We've been talking about using the AOS bar-coded cover sheet to send an IV package.

Many of us have been waiting for 20-30+ days to pay the IV fee.  Some people on the I-130 Facebook group called NVC to report this problem.  Some NVC agents suggested that we use the AOS bar-coded cover sheet to send our IV packages.   :)

It's tempting to send my IV package next week using the AOS bar-coded cover sheet.  However, I'm sending my original birth certificate and police certificates so I don't want them to go missing.  If they lose my original documents, I'll have to replace them and it could take months.

I know we briefly talked about this issue on this thread.  I was wondering if other people have called NVC and they got the same info that it's okay to use the AOS bar-coded cover sheet to send an IV package.   :help:

Austin,

I talked to many operators at the NVC... A few told me the packages goto the same department and then split up for review. Some people  send in documents before they even get the barcode sheets.   They said it happens all the time.  I think if I were waiting as long as you guys, I would go ahead and send then IV docs with the AOS barcode sheet. It will get in the queue and your mail will be reviewed earlier.  Just write a cover letter explaining that you had a problem accessing  the IV barcode... Make something up...   The documents will get to the right place eventually. IMO, its better than waiting 30 more days   !!!

Yesterday when I called, i was told that if you have a lawyer listed in your DS-261 (Online Choice of Agent and Address). Then you will get the AOS and IV around the same time. If you dont have a lawer listed then you will have to wait 30 days for the IV. If any one else calls please verify if this is true. I did not used a lawyer, so 30 day wait for me. I feel is punishment for not paying a layer.

Please read the NVC WIKI . Step 2...  last sentence.      Saying it is punishment is silly.

I sent my AOS and IV packages through USPS got delivered on 5/21/14. I have been calling since then and they tell me to wait. I called today and it still doesn't show on there system as received and they said to send an email with proof that they received it #######????? It's 3 weeks already and now they can't find my packages. Not even been scanned in or anything.

Anyways I sent them the email. Has this happened to any of you? How long to they take to review or reply to an email?

Thanks in advance to any advise I get.

is there a signature for the package delivery?    See if you can scan it and send it to NVCinquiry@state.gov

Well, after 45 minutes on hold, I ended up hanging up with the NVC agent because he was such a jerk. First of all, he wouldn't hold on for more than 1 minute because my baby was crying and I wanted to grab her before reading him the USCIS case number.

He talked to me like I was an idiot then asked me the date I received the NOA2. When I said, May 27th, he told me that I need to read him word for word all of the information on the NOA2 (aka he wanted me to get to the part where it says, "wait 30 days before contacting NVC"). I ended up just hanging up. Grrrr  :ranting:

Yes, they put all resources to make illegal immigrants to legal. However, they couldn't do any thing to speed up process to bring spouses of citizens who pay taxes on time. I understand that they can't simply ignore some checks but they shouldn't prolong the process which used to take 5 months to now 12 months and more. May be should write a letter to President explaining the situation. He is one of the reasons why this process got delayed significantly since October 2013.

More like March 2013.    Don't get me started....  I'll get banned from the thread.

it is scary if USCIS has better timelines than NVC. NVC need a shake up to get back to normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The actual timelines are BS!!!!!

I think up to April (case #s assigned in April), NVC was pretty good, it was taking 2 weeks to review packets (2 weeks +/- 2 days).

Around the end of April, it started to creep up to 3 weeks and then 3 weeks +.

Now I think it is almost up to 30 calendar days. If they continue like this (USCIS getting faster and NVC getting overloaded), nobody can expect how bad it is going to get.

I think they should transfer cases to the embassies/consulates to deal with once case # is assigned, at least until they get back to the normal processing times

I think it will soon take 4 months to get through the NVC Hell Hole.  It took me 2 months to get a CC. It would have been 1 month if it weren't for the checklist. I am so shocked at how long its taking people to get invoiced and to pay.....   and Now USCIS is processing in 5 months ( sometimes less)  all those files will be bombarding the NVC soon. And the DACA 2 year  renewals are due. How disappointing !!!!!!  I hope the DACA files don't go through the NVC
