The violation that was removed was noted by me doing follow up on this thread as it was still under review from an earlier reported violation.

PhilippinesShe's doing it again.
Because a few individuals from one culture exhibit specific negative behaviour it does not make it appropriate to label all individuals from that culture as possessing that same negative behaviour. Such comments are considered racist and are both insulting and hurtful to others from that culture who do not exhibit this behaviour. Please be more careful in the future when making such 'black and white' comments.

PhilippinesMy Philippina's Driving Lessons.
Please take care not to make generalized stereotyped comments as if all women from the Philippines are the same. If you are talking about your own personal experience, please use personal pronouns and possessives rather than the general 'they' that implies painting everyone with the same brush.

One post has been modified to reflect the poster's personal experience and remove the 'all are the same' type of stereotype. Topic title has also been modified to reflect the more accurate personal experience of the OP. One post addressing the above issue has been removed as it is no longer applicable and could be confusing.

PhilippinesWhy ?

She didn't want to get maple syrup all over so she folded it like a taco! don't you do that with big pieces of pizza?? It was dessert!

She sounds like a very sensible young lady - what a reasonable solution - and she also doesn't have to wash another knife and fork. :lol: I'll bet she'll do the same thing with left over pancakes too :yes: . Praise her resourcefulness even if it is something that you wouldn't think of doing yourself, and welcome the opportunities she will provide you for seeing and experiencing the world in different ways. That is a very big 'gift' to receive, even if it is sometimes unexpected. Relationships are always avenues of personal growth, so maybe you will find that eating left-over french toast with maple syrup folded over like a taco for dessert is something you may discover you like as well :) .

Please stop the bickering and the nitpicking. The OP has received the correct response and has apparently also received the correct document. There is no need to discuss this issue further so unless you have something constructive to add for the OP's benefit, please do not continue this discussion about who and where and what, nor continue to make disparaging comments about and at other posters.

Also, for information purposes - this thread was originally posted last November in an immigration related forum and not the Philippines forum. As only English is allowed outside of the Regional forums members requested that the posters respond in English while the thread was still in the Immigration forums. Once it was moved to the Philippines forum it became permissible to use non-English.

Topic has been moved from CR-1 Case Filing and Progress Reports forum to the Philippines Regional forum as the issue really is Philippines specific, and the OP is not filing for a CR-1 as he has a fiancee, not a spouse.

May I also remind members that you do not have the right to insult or make snarky comments at other members. If you have a problem with another member's post, please report it rather than take matters into your own hands. I will also remind posters to please try and be 'sensitive' in your comments. Humour and sarcasm are very personal responses and not everyone sees them in the same way. Thank you..

PhilippinesCeremony before wedding in U.S.

One post advocating visa fraud in violation of the Terms of Service has been removed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moderator's hat off.   Do not do any sort of official 'ceremony'.  You can do a 'for show' mock, unofficial, unauthorized and non-legal ceremony for her father's benefit, but it will not be a wedding.  You can consider it a 'dress rehearsal' for the wedding.  If you care for this woman at all you will not expose her to the very real risk that getting married prior to entering the US and then entering on a K-1 and falsifying the information about the marriage will bring.  There have been a number of threads posted in this forum in the past where individuals have done just that thing - and ended up being deported and banned for life.  The US partner then has to make a choice between living outside of the US knowing that he/she will never be able to live in the US with their spouse or ending the relationship.  There is no between ground.  USCIS does not negotiate on this one - at all.
So, have an unofficial, non-legal, non-binding ceremony only for show and not for real in her home country, and have the real wedding in the US.  Take a video of the real wedding and send it to her father.  If you find out that the ceremony is indeed legal and binding, then you have negated the K-1 visa and she will not be allowed to use it to enter the US.  If she does, then see the scenario at the end of paragraph one.  Your only other option then is to refile for a CR-1 spousal visa - start the whole immigration process all over again from the beginning - but that is only if she has not used the K-1 to enter the US fraudulently.
i am sorry for coming across so strongly on this, but you really need to hear this.  You cannot afford to risk your happiness at this stage of the game by doing something stupid like allowing or having your partner use a K-1 visa to enter the US when you are already married.
Triplicate threads asking the same question have all been merged together into one thread.
PhilippinesTyphoon support
I have had to edit a number of posts here that contain TOS violations:
Make comments in a Post either direct or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset, antagonize, make fun of, belittle, harass, insult, or otherwise instigate an argument that takes away from the personal enjoyment of the Service by other users.
 I fully appreciate the sense of provocation involved but there are ways to make your disapproval known without resorting to insults, personal attacks and name-calling.  Please use this as an opportunity to 'educate' someone who is unaware or insensitive to the situation and hope that he - and others in need of this education - will understand why their comments have provoked such responses.
Please remember that any further posts containing personal attacks, insults or inappropriate language may result in a thread ban from further participation.
To elucidate further on what Ryan posted: while Moderators are report driven, that doesn't mean we are ONLY allowed to respond to reports - it means that we don't go around and police the site by reading each and every post,  We are also members, however, and as we visit the site for our own use, we may encounter TOS violations or problems. We are encouraged to address those problems if we encounter them in this way as well as by responding to reported problems by other members.  Consider it a type of report from 'self' as member to 'self' as moderator.  The 'paper trail' is left within the thread and the moderator reports the action to the Moderator team in the Moderators' forum.
All that being said, as Ryan noted, the posts were, in fact, reported.
