You will be fine!  Don't worry about it.  But, you might want to show the 2nd envelope to the IO at the POE just to be sure.  Good luck and best wishes!

Like yourself, I used only Yahoo chats.  I took a printed two chats for a week, every 3-4 weeks.  You just might want to make sure that the content of each chat has  you and your gal looking good in the eyes of the USCIS and CO during the interview.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresneed some help...

In this day and time, it is not unusual to be out of work for a while and then start a new job.  But, to answer your question:  yes, you can file for the I-129.  Your is guy is going to need to furnish at least 1 yr., and up to 3 yrs. ITR.  Make sure his new employer creates him an excellent employer letter explaining his job, that it is a permanent job, he is doing well at his job, and any other good stuff the employer can say.  After filing the initial paperwork with the USCIS there will be some time, 5-6 months, before the decision is made by the USCIS to either approve or deny the petition.  By that time, your will will have more time in his new job.  In addition, the USCIS might correspond with your guy to ask about his job and/or assets.  Also, if he has any he will want to list all of his other assets: checking, savings, any investment, property owned, etc...  Best of luck!

Based only on my personal experience, photocopied documents are acceptable.  In your case, as long as the Photocopied document has your "original" signature and date it should be fine.  This is my personal experience, other may have/had a different experience.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about not enough room on the forms

***Duplicate thread removed***

**Moderator hat off**

If an address will not fit on the form itself, don't abbreviate; instead, write "see attached" on the form itself and use a separate sheet of paper to write out the address in full.  This is perfectly ok to do on the G-325A, like the I-129F, be sure to reference the question being answered on the supplemental sheet.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresfinalizing I-129F

So I'm preparing to ship and I had a few procedural questions:

Does the embassy care if copies are black and white or color? Should all proof of relationship and required documents be in color or are black and white print outs acceptable?

- Black and white copies are fine.

Can I highlight visa stamps and notate which trips / visits together they are related to directly on the photocopy of the visa pages?

-  I wouldn't highlight anything just make copes...    The CO will determine what is pertinent.

And when the guide says "all pages of the visa", does this include the blank pages?

- Yes ,I made copes of all visa pages  - even the blank ones.  Some people don't.  It's a personal choice.

Thanks!

- J & E

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOrgaizing k1 Visa packet

You will learn that different people prepare and assemble their paperwork/packages/petitions in different ways.  Most do not have any problems while others encounter questions about paperwork, missing paperwork, RFEs, and so on...  This is what I did for my gal and I.  I read the "Guides" section here at VJ over and over and over again for each petiton that she and I submitted.  I got everything together, paperwork, documents, etc...  I created a cover letter.  I created an "INDEX" page with contents for each section(s) and TABs.  Finally, I put the contents for each petition in a manila folder with 2 tabs at the top inside the manila folder to attach everything in the package.  Make 3 sets of each petition/package you submit - one to be submitted to the USCIS, one for the petitioner, and one for the beneficiary.

I put it all together and let it sit for a few days.  I came back to it over and over again making sure I included everything that was required and included explanations for anything that was not included,  Some may consider all this work an "overkill" and that's fine with me.   And, as a result, my gal and i did not encounter any problems "whatsoever."  She did not even have an interview for the AOS or the ROC petitions.  The most common mistake is not including necessary paperwork, documents, or not providiing a "reasonable" reason for not including the needed paperwork or documentation.  Just my opinion...

Best of luck!

I am only speaking from my experience.  The only time I have ever heard of making use of a baptism certificate is when an issue came up about the birth certificate.  Different name, name spellings, a question of birth date.  You might want to have it with you if asked for.  Take the real document and a copy of it.  If it is needed the copy should be sufficient and not have the original document taken from you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow to write Alien Fiance Mailing Address in 129F

My answers to your questions are in caps after each question.

My fiance lives in Baja California, Mexico. But the I 129F forms seemed geared toward U.S. style of writing an address. On 129F line 3a through 3i is as follows:

3a: In Care of Name____________

3b: Street Number and Name_________

3c: apt suite flor [check box]

3d: City or Town_________

3e: State _____ 3f: Zip Code_____

3g: Postal Code__________

3h: Province____________

3i Country___________

questions:

1) is there a difference between Zip Code vs. Postal Code?

NO, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.  THEY BOTH MEAN THE SAME.

2) How do write a Mexican address that is for EXAMPLE as follows (as an example of mexican ID):

PERHAPS YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE WHO IS EITHER MEXICAN OR KNOWS HOW MEXICAN ADDRESSES ARE SETUP.

Minie Mouse

Av. Feliz 7777

FRACC VISTA CHULA 99999

TIJUANA, BC.

FRACC STANDS FOR Fraccionamiento (I don't even know what that is).

3) I went to go see her last weekend and we filled out a G-325a (Bio). i had her sing (BUT HER STYLE OF SINGING LOOKS LIKE PRINT AS IT APPEARS IN MEXICAN id). I include the G-325a with the 129f, correct?

YES.

4) She is going to email me (which I am going to print at Walgreens) photos of her head shot. How close do they need to be to Passport pictures.

I WOULD SUGGEST THAT SHE GO TO SOMEPLACE THAT HAS A PHOTO STUDIO THAT CAN TAKE "PASSPORT" PHOTOS.  THE BACKGROUND COLOR HAS TO BE SPECIFIC AND THE HEADSHOT MUST BE SPECIFIC TO MEET USCIS GUIDELINES.  I HAD MY PICS TAKEN AT WALMART.  THERE SHOULD BE SOME STORES/BUSINESS THAT WILL TAKE PASSPORT PHOTOS.

Thanks for the help!!!!!

BEST OF LUCK!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit of Support Question

Here we go again with a "useless debate" regarding joint/co-sponsors regarding the USEM.  Co/Joint sponsors are allowed!  If the poster stating that Co/Joint sponsors are not allowed I would ask that poster to cite an instance, embassy statement or policy stating such.  It has been my experience that if a petitioner that has a co/joint sponsor(s) is denied it is because of issues/problems about he petitioner and not the co/joint sponsor(s).  For example, I have read instances of petitioner(s) having his parents as co-sponsor(s) and have read instances of elderly men using their child(ren) as co-sponsor(s) and all have been approved.  So, I do take a pesonal issue with anyone stating that Co/Joint sponsor(s) are not allowed at the USEM without providing a citation, reference, or statement from the USEM stating that co/joint sponsor(s) are not allowed.

If the OP feels the need for a co/joint sponsore I encourage them to take that path.  I would only ask that the OP make sure that there arre not any issues or potential problem(s) with himself that would put the petition in question.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresdocument

Thank you for taking the time to list some consulates and reason(s) as to why a co/joint sponsor was not or might not be accepted.  My only concern is the Philippines.  As I have stated before I know of a young man who used his parents as co-sponsors and elderly men who have used their child(ren) as co-sponsors and were accepted.  I have also learned that it might be a better case to have an [immediate] family member be the co/joint sponsor.  Most of my experience is with another Yahoo group that specializes in helping westerners immigrate filipino/a's to the USA.  I would name the Yahoo group but the last time I did it got "edited" out by some rocket scientist here at VJ.  I did read one story at VJ about a filipino/a being denied and after reading all of the posts learned that the petitioner had a list of issues and, more than likely, it was the petitioner that was denied and not the fact of having a co/joing sponsor.  Again, thanks for taking the time to reply.

good.gif

Some that are more strict and reluctant to accept co-sponsors are the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and I believe Nigeria and Morocco as well. It does not mean they will deny every case with a co-sponsor, but they do not just readily and easily accept all cases presenting a co-sponsor. Any consulate can refuse to accept a co-sponsor, just most do not. Even Italy has outright denied the use of a co-sponsor in several cases recently, and one I know of in Juarez too. Juarez is pretty lax on the financials, so that came as a surprise to me, and of course the person it happened to. Luckily they were allowed to present a co-sponsor and get approved, but only if that co-sponsor was willing to sign an I-864 instead of the I-134.

Here are the I-134 instructions: http://www.uscis.gov.../i-134instr.pdf See "supporting evidence" for the additional documentation you may be asked to provide. As mentioned, the requirements vary by consulate, including whether or not a co-sponsor will be allowed. However, since you can't disclose which consulate you are applying at, none of us will be able to give you a definite answer. I suggest you consult the lawyers who have been advising you so far.

Pease do not inlcude more than 6 -12 pics and put all of them in one plastice ziploc bag.  Just don't forget to write on the back of each photo who is in the photo, when it was taken and where it was taken.  You can include any conversations, text mostly, that you want. When I did this for my gal, I included 2 random chats for a week and then only 2 chats for 2 weeks each month.  I did not want to overload my petition...  Including too much can offer the interviewing CO the opportunity to look for inconsistencies...  and, not providing enough can also create questions...  But, then again, my gal is still not happy about not getting any interviews - for the AOS and ROC.

Best of luck!

My answers are in CAPS after each question.

I'm filling out the employment history section of the G-325A biographical information form. I have a couple issues with it.

First, the first line automatically says "present" as the "to" date, assuming you are currently employed. Is it assumed you would skip that first line if you are presently unemployed? or write Uemployed with the date-present in it?
YES, UNEMPLOYED TO PRESENT.

Second, most of my work history is unpaid, hospital nurse volunteer-type work. Should I include that or not?
YES, INCLUDE ANY WORK,, PAID OR UNPAID.

I'm the beneficiary by the way and how does this affect our process in any way?
SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT EITHER WAY, LISTING OR NOT LISTING IT.

Thanks in Advance!

FWIW, my gal and I did not file for her AOS to well after a year of her entry to the US.  Just be aware that once your I-94 expires you will be "out of status."  And, from what I have learned, should you be stopped by law enforcement it would be extemely rare to be detained for "immigration" purposes.  If this were to happen, as long as you can show that your AOS petition has been started, or is in progress, you should not have any problems.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLoss of the original K1 packet

First of all, I never said it wasn't important to not make a copy.  I said it wasn't needed to bring that copy to the interview.  You show me below where it says to bring a copy to the interview:

IMPORTANT!
Make TWO copies of the entire package before you send it in. This includes the money orders too. You want to have a perfect replica of the package you are sending in. All Forms that you submit must be originals with original signatures. Supporting Evidence that you submit may be photocopies. Retain ALL original supporting Evidence since the USCIS has the right to check them by issuing an RFE (Request For Evidence). If you receive an RFE, follow the direction exactly, and make two copies of what you sent back. During any future interviews the USCIS may also want to examine the original supporting evidence.

The last sentence "During any future interviews the USCIS may also want to examine the original supporting evidence." This is true, and which I said in an earlier post that you should bring the original supporting documents...not the entire petition...to the interview.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this.

I stand corrected.  No where does it state that the "entire packet" is needed at the [or any] interview.  But, from a logical perspective, or viewpoint, why would a person have the copy and not bring it "just in case" it might be needed.  My gal brought hers and in her case it was needed and avoided any additional interview/RFE that could have resulted or been required had she not brought her entire packet with her...  And, you are also correct, many people have not needed the "entire packet," any original documents and/or supporting evidence, at any interview but many others have wished that they had brought the "entire packet" with them when original documents and/or supporting evidence was asked for and they did not have them and either an RFE was issued or an additional interview was needed.

Finally, you are also correct that "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this,"  for I am not a rocket scientist.  I am just a college graduate who knows the value of doing his homework and being prepared.  And, as a result of doing my homework and being prepared my gal did not have an interview for her AOS or ROC petitions.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLoss of the original K1 packet

Zedayn says:

What VJ has in their "guides" is a general reference and does not apply to all situations.  If you want to know what you should bring to an interview, you should be following an official source and not a peer generated guide.  As was stated earlier, a copy of the I-129F petition is not needed.  I didn't need it, and I'm sure many others that have went through USEM didn't need it as well.

Maybe you are correct.  I guess that is why the word, "IMPORTANT!", was in red and CAPS.  The self-proclaimed rockect scientist has spoken.
