Good luck trying to call the USEM. I have heard that it can be tough getting someone to answer the phone. I was able to accomplish all of my correspondence by email.

PhilippinesVisa

Where can I get the forms to apply for a visa for the Philippines ?

What kind of visa for the Philippines are you looking for? You do not need a visa to visit the Philippines. Upon arrival, your passport will be stamped with a 21-day visitor's visa. If you wish to stay longer than 21 days it would be in your benefit to apply for a 59-day visa before traveling to the Philippines. You can do this by applying to the Phil. consulate that services your area. Or, you can apply for the visa extension while in the Philippines. But, it is much easier and a bit cheaper to get the extended visa in the US before traveling to the Philippines.
Best of luck!

PhilippinesDone with Medical Exam!
Yes, you passed your medical exam! If you had not passed the exam you would not have gotten the X-ray and CD. St. Lukes would have told you that additional testing/treatment was going to be needed.
Like the above posted stated...
Congratulations! And, best of luck!

To answer your question, Yes! You gal will be free to travel within the US. However, if she were to leave the US to return home or visit another country she will not be allowed to re enter the US. Your gal will have to wait for her first GC, 2-yr or 10-yr GC depending on her visa, before she can leave the US and return to the US without any problem(s). But, then there is the issue regarding the length of stay outside the US while on a "conditional" GC.
Best of luck on your gal's arrival and new adventure together!

Yes, you are going to need to have both the CENOMAR and documentation from NSO indicating the annulled marriage, This will make sure you are prepared.
Best of luck!

PhilippinesWhy it takes 3 weeks to get married in the PI??
There is a "waiting" period of 10 days between applying for the marriage license and getting married. However, some, like you, don't have to wait the 10 day waiting period and, unlike you, some do have to wait the 10 days.

PhilippinesMEDICAL
All of the above offered advice is good. But, if you are still in doubt call St. Luke's before you go and ask them if you can have the medical without the interview letter and what you will need to bring with you.
I don't see it as a problem to go ahead and get your medical taken care of.
Best of luck!

PhilippinesTime duration from medical to interview to leaving
Unless you have plenty of time and spending money you might want to wait until she has passed her medical and has the visa in her passport. She might have to have additional tests if she has a "spot" on her x-ray, her/your case may be put into "administrative review." There are several things that can delay the delivery of the visa.
Best wishes!

PhilippinesHow long till the interview process is finished
Assuming that your gal passes her interview today, it will take at least 5 up to 10 business days for her to receive her passport with her visa in it. That is, her passport will be surrendered at the interview, her visa will be installed in it, and it will be delivered by 2to, the delivery courier to her mailing address. You can fly back to your home country at any time... Just do not expect that she can accompany you. This is also assuming that you gal has passed her medical, has the CFO sticker, etc... in her valid passport.

PhilippinesBest Way to Send Shoes
I agree with those who discuss using a BB box. Much cheaper, not usually subject to inspection, and for my gal anyways everything was still in it when it reached its destination, the drawback is that is does take much longer to get there. But, you are a Phil. citizen you know how the postal system works in your country.
Best of luck!

Since she is a Phil. citizen her travel tax is going to be 1620P and if she in flying out of manila the terminal fee there is 750P - person. If she is flying out of a regional airport there might be additional, terminal fees - per person. I hope everyone has the needed stamps in their passport(s).

Ha! I see you haven't had any reply's here yet. If all else fails try searching for a yahoo group called, "MAG-ANAK." This is a yahoo group dedicated to aiding/helping americans immigrate filipino/a's to the USA. Yes, there are lots of filipino/a's in the southern California area. However, I live on the other side of the USA.

PhilippinesEmployment letter does it need to be original?

Yes!  You can offer a copy of the letter, But the best evidence would be an original, unless there is a problem getting at least 2 original letters of employment from your employer.

any immunizations, vaccinations are based on your age.  But, as a previous poster has already stated any immunizations/vaccinations that are needed are included in the medical fee.  Once you get to the US, these requirements are subject to change.  But, no worries.  There is nothing that can not be taken care of at a locat county health department in the US once you get here at a very reasonable charge.  Best of luck!

I agree with the 2 previous poster...  The questions asked are intended to test your knowledge of your fiance and genuineness of your relationship.  Just be honest.

Philippineswhat is the usual interview question for an IR1?

The questions will vary by person and CO asking the questions.  Your goal should be to know as much as possible about your fiance and his family.  Then there will be your level of confidence perceived by the interviewing CO.  Just be honest in answering each question and always maintain eye contact with the CO.  Best of luck!

Sorry to hear this.  But, admin. processing puts a "hold" on issuance of your visa and, from my personal experience, can take at least 30 day to 90 days or longer... to process.  Most petitions put on "admin. processing" take less than 60 days for a decision.  Best of luck!

VietnamVietnam Police certificate.
Hi,
Maybe I just don't get it. Anyone, with the proper documentation, should be able to go to a local police station in Vietnam, or if not in the country, be able to go to the Vietnamese embassy and request a police clearance certificate. Whether or not this person lived in the police department district. After all, the US still maintains a good relationship with Vietnam.
Best wishes and regards!,

USCIS Service CentersWrote the check to "USCIS" - not Dept. of Homeland Security!

So I submitted my I-129F yesterday and I made my check out to "USCIS" and then I read somewhere that I should have made it out to "Dept. of Homeland Security"! Will this cause them to send it back to me?

"send it back to me?" no. The bad side is that many people have sent in "blank checks/money orders," etc..., and the receiver of the "negotiable instrument" was able to re-word the "Pay To" line.
Best word(s)of caution: read all the instructions at least twice beforehand.
Best of luck,

Why do you think you need "congressional" help? Just based on my education and experience, unless your petition/question is far outside the current "processing" times, you are wasting your time. But, you may have good luck! After all, you have absolutely nothing to lose by contacting your politician.

USCIS Service CentersVermont service center
Hi,
I am so sorry to learn about your "extended" wait for any news from the VSC. Try to remember you are dealing with a governmental agency. For example, if they did everything today what would they do tomorrow. Heaven knows, they have no desire to work themselves out of a job.
Try to always keep in mind, "patience" is a learned...
My authority, expert, tells me that your wait should only average about 7 months from submittal, acknowledgement and approval. Also, keep in mind that the workload of each service center is load based. You are in the process and that is most important. Patience..., trust me, I know the feeling...

Have you tried to locate an email address for the Kingston Embassy? If you can find an email contact, send them a letter with hopefully a case number that should have already been issued. My gal immigrated from H.K. and I had to send an email to the US embassy there to get the process started.

USCIS Service CentersANYONE EVER HAD THIS???Need Help

You are going to need to be a little more patient.  There really isn't anything else you can do but wait.  If you believe the processing is considerably outside the time window you can get a congressman/senator involved to see if they can help.  But for now, you have your answer - still in processing.

The 7-10 days are business days.  However, due to the service centers workload it can take longer to get the NOA 1.  Please be patient.  At least you did get a confirmation email from the USCIS enlightening you that it has been received.  You have a long ways to go in the process, no need to start getting impatient yet.

Best of luck!

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K1 Under 221G
the USEM Manila has been know to deny K1 visa petitions with co-sponsors. However, each case or petition is approved/denied based on its own unique merits. That being said, the USEM Manila has also been known to approve K1 visa petitions that have co-sponsors. I truly believe that when a petition is denied by the USEM it is because of issues with the petitioner and not solely because of the need for a co-sponsor. But, since you are applying for your visa in Kuwait using a co-sponsor may not be a problem. Your fiance', the USC is going to need a letter of employment, this is a requirement. Also, his ITR should be enough for the domicile requirement.
Best of luck!

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Admin processing after i 797 is issued and interview is done (only 4 months?)

Hi, Admin processing, not uncommon, just means the embassy needs to check out or verify documentation/evidence.  This step can take as little as 10 days to as long as 6 months.  As long as your petition is in processing your "expiration date" will be extended.  "No worries mate,"  just be patient and stay up-to-date with your petition status.  Best of luck!

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)i got this email what does it mean

Just my opinion...  your case is now in "AP," or adminstrative processing.  For some reason, the embassy CO or some other #######-for-brains either needs more info or more time to review submitted information already submitted.  AP can take as little as less than a wee, normally 30 day or as much as 90 days.

Best of luck!

AP, on average, can last 30 days.  However, taking into account, that more information was requested and you have already mailed/forwarded the information, your situation can take up to 90 days.  Others will tell you that, in their cases, it was taken care of in a matter of days.  Just try and be patient.

Best of luck!
