I don't think that your change of address should be an issue. If there is a way, notify the USCIS of your "address change." The important thing is you do get your mail and that the USCIS has your current address for now and in the future.
Best of luck!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresEvidence of Relationship - How many affidavits needed?

Hi vjers!

Just want to know how many sworn statements from friends and relatives should we submit together with our I-130 Petition as proof or evidence of our relationship?

Thanks for the help guys!

You can include as many as you want, but in the hierarchy [importance] of "proof of evidence of relationship" these letters or "sworn statements" carry little value to the USCIS. The USCIS is really only concerned with documentation/evidence you provide that is asked and/or required.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHong Kong or Mania Embassy Better
My gal immigrated to the US from H.K. where she was also an OFW. The process was much easier and less costs. In the Phil. the Phil. government and as many other agencies as possible try to make money off of filipino(a)s who wish to immigrate/work/or visit outside the Phil. Medical exam was much easier - the location was closer to where she worked, no waiting compared to St. Luke's, much faster results - so much freaking easier! The interview process will happen much faster also b/c there will not be as many people as compared to the USEM. For example, the day my gal had her interview there was 8 people applying, 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. I will also point out that my gal had an interesting interview with a chinese woman - maybe it was a novelty for a filipina to be interviewing in H.K. for a USA visa.
Best of luck!

It would be a good idea to have a copy of all the documents you have already sent in to take with you for the interview.  My gal was asked to show her copies of a few documents that had already been sent in.  Just do you best to be prepared for the "unexpected."  Best of luck!

try to do your medical at least 1 week if not 2 weeks before you medical.  This will make sure that SLEC will have time to process your medical and send the results to the USEM.  Best of luck!

The I-94 stamp is a part of your record of entering/departing the US.  There should be either a separate piece of paper provided by the airline you took to enter the US and stamped by the USCIS at the POE, or a stamp in your passport at the POE when you got to the US.

Best of luck!

Yes, you should put yourself down at the "principle contact person."  As far as any letter you get from the USCIS, if you feel the need to, you can just scan the letter and email a copy to your gal in the Phil.  Moreover, you should not need a lawyer for anything!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat's the point of sending in previous tax transcripts?

Like the above poster stated, unless requested only the past or more recents years ITR should be sufficient.  Some people, depending on their personal situation(s), choose to send in more than one year.  I only sent in one year, the most recent year's ITR and that was sufficient.  Since, you are concerned with Brazil, you might want to research that country's specific requirement.

Best of luck!

Provided your OP is correct and you mail "everything" by the end of February the NBI should still be valid.  However, keep in mind, that the USCIS can ask for a more current NBI - at their discretion.

Copies of 2010, 11, & 12 ITRs should be sufficient.  I only provided the most current years, 1,  ITR and it was sufficient.  You can provide a copy of your 2013 W-2 if you want.  FYI, there was only a I-864 when I did hte AOS.  So, things have changed - a bit.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPost Decision Activity? What to expect?

Post Decision Activity occurs when a decision has been reached/made by the USCIS, most of the time an approval.  I have heard that "Post Decision Activity" is where your file is placed in a deep dark hole never to be heard from again until another petition is made and could be regarding the petitioner or the beneficiary.  An example of another petition could be AOS, ROC, Citizenship and I am sure there are examples of others.

Your case is progressing through the visa process. The NVC, National Visa Center, is kinda like a pitstop, in the process. Mostly, the NVC just passes the case on to the applicable embassy or service center. However, the NVC may see an issue and hold it pending correspondence with the petitioner. For now, just try and be patient and wait 7-10 days and check the case status on the USCIS website.
Best of luck!

I have learned over the last year of so that having a "sponsor and/or co-sponsor" can be looked at negatively by the USEM.  I would also add that as long as your paperwork meets the requirements, having a "sponsor and/or co-sponsor" should not be an issue based on my personal experience and knowledge.  Having a "sponsor and/or co-sponsor" is not a sole basis for denying a petition, there will be other concerns questioned by the CO.  Best of luck!

My feance has just been approved for travel to the USA from Manila. Is there a way to track your visa from the embnessy so that we will know where it is and when she will get it. An does she need to take the FSO class. If so does anyone know where she can take it .

Excuse me, but!  what is an FSO class?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionis police certificate necessary...

The USEM is going to require an NBI report - as you have already stated.  I forget whether you can carry that in for the interview or you may have to have it sent directly to the USEM.  As far as a police certicate being needed only if you have resided in another country for 6 months or more and it must be send directly to the USEM

There is no way to get the visa in her passport immediately!  Remember, you are dealing with government workers.  If they did everything today what would they do tomorrow?  On average, provided your gal passes the interview, it can take up to 2 weeks to get the passport back with the visa in it - some people get their passport back faster and some take longer...  Best of luck!

Just guessing based on other requests that the embassy/USCIS can make but, it can take as little as 30 days up to 90 days, and sometimes longer.  It just depends on what is being asked for and what the embassy/USCIS is looking for.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWrong Applicant Birthdate

From my experience in another Yahoo group, it is not unusual for "minor" mistakes such as yours to be encountered and the USEM  is accustomed to this.  Just make sure you provide "good" documented evidence to prove the DOB.  This documented evidence can include, but not limited to, church records, baptismal records, school records, and so on.  Just be sure that all the documented evidence you provide says the same thing...

Best of luck!

In other words, getting if "fixed" can be very expensive and not necessary.  Maybe, and hopefully, others here can provide their experience...

US Citizenship General DiscussionNaturalization Question
Alex,
You, your gal, are going to have to wait for the 10-year green card to start the citizenship application and process. Unfortunately, you, your gal, are going to need a minimum of 2 years, 9 months continuous residence in the USA that the USCIS can document or have documentation of to validate your resident status to begin the citizenship process.
For anyone else, I have no desire to beat the dead horse over temporary leaves/visits by the green card holder outside the USA, this issue is examined on a case-by-case basis by the USCIS.

You have the letter of approval. So, you know you are in the system and your citizenship is in process.
