IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2013	and here I thought only my husband husband is lazy about calling NVC. I agree, Silly husbands!!! Unfortunately, in my case, since he is petitioning for his mom, I still am at his mercy about calling NVC Hey, I take that offensively! I'm here in the states and have dedicated my life since October to the Visa process. VJ is the number one site on my browser, and USCIS/NVC are on my iPhone favorites at the top. I've not done anything productive around the house for months! then i expect for a week delay... If I were you, I would get the information needed, go to the IRS website, and put it in and request the transcripts. I hate lawyers, scumbags who just want to take your money for barely any effort. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2013	my husband is kinda like that... he would just tell me, let our lawyer or para legal handle it... he would even refuse to get his tax return transcripts in advance... his reason is that our lawyer hasnt told him yet the requirements... and too bad our lawyer said she will just send the list of requirements once we have a case number... darn... so i have no choice but to wait... expecting for another 10-15 days delay for getting his requirements.. I'm just hoping getting the tax transcripts wont take more than 3 days. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2013	The hold music isn't what irritates me, it's that guy's voice that repeats "all of our representatives are busy assisting other callers.....etc. The rest of the recording is a low volume and then that guy's voice comes on and screams in your ear I also see that the NVC received your case a few days earlier than mine. I'm hoping we get a number by the end of the week! We're almost at 30 days from NOA2 date Yep, and that low voice that says that we'll answer your call momentarily, 45 mins to an hour is a lot more than a moment. I just wish they would re-instate the Automated Voice Recording, would save so many people so much time, and NVC operators a lot of headaches! I think I make too much sense for Govt work sometimes! But also consider that your email will not be seen for a few days while it waits in queue and it also takes a few days for you to get the email from NVS. The members here say there is no harm done sending it now even if it gets rejected. Thanks! Just sent the DS-3032 email! Your NOA2 is the same as mine. Hopefully that's good news because I just got off the phone with the NVC and they still have not issued us a case # yet. I got a harpy rep today who told me in an irritable voice, "you have to wait 10-15 business days, that's BUSINESS days" Yeah I get it lady. Advice, don't call close to quittin time Yeah I called at around 8:30pm, took 45 minutes, but the guy was nice and patient as he confirmed the email addresses and other details, and while I read all the numbers back. I was walking around the house with that annoying hold music playing! Yeah, hopefully tomorrow is your day! I believe that's the "checklist" people receive who are qualifying on assets. It's ultimately up to the embassy/consulate to decide if those assets meet their guidelines. Be prepared that you may be requested to get a joint sponsor at your interview. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2013	I was told by my tax accountant last year and this year that since my spouse does not have an SSN - I cannot file as married but have to file as single. When she comes here then I can send in an amendment if needed. So for the last 2 years - 2011 and 2012 - I filed as single. Now reading through all these forums is making me nervous. Should I have had the filing as married filing separately? How will this impact my case - my I-130 is already approved but am sending the I-864 and Packet IV. I just filed my 2012 return (which I don't plan to send - I only plan to send my three year tax transcript from 2009, 2010 and 2011 (I got married in 2010 and got my marriage certificate in March 2011). Can someone help me on what I can do to avoid any further issues? I called the IRS, and was told something completely different. I was told to file married filing jointly. Use the W7 and send a letter stating that your wife wishes to file jointly and your taxes combined for 2012. It says "We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032. " Now does it means its accepted? Just one confirmation, I sent an email inquiring about the case number few days back and as a reply to that email they have asked me to sent DS-3032. Not any separate particular email and neither any bar code sheet ia attached, as I have read many times in the forum. Now should I wait or send the email. Plus what should be the subject of the email: SUPERVISOR REVIEW ISLXXXXXXXX Choice of address and agent. Will it speed up the process? I understand the last part seems to be the only thing that isn't matching up and so I will have to resend the info, but anyone else care to inform me of what else this checklist might entail? Are any of these false checklists besides the last part of the AOS (I know that one is real)? When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided. ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________ The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case. The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following website for instructions: http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents") Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay your visa. ______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________ A review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and supporting documents that you submitted has revealed that you have provided incomplete information in your response or you have not responded to some questions. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case. When sending completed forms to the NVC do not include instruction pages or any other sheets which do not carry information you entered while completing the form. On a totally different note, I just realized that I didn't complete the form in capital letters. ARGH another thing to worry about!! Yeah, I got that, I was just wondering if they are spot on or if they request the regular I-864 when sending the checklist... just have a fear that something will go wrong and delay processing. What exactly did you write in the letter you sent them? You may need to call NVC on Monday and request to speak with a supervisor. Explain your situation, what you sent, and see if they can re-review it.           They definitely bundle cases, otherwise you'd see dozens upon dozens of cases being sent to each country. Yep, I assumed, but wasn't sure... I never called NVC again after I got the case complete email  But today there was a this change in the online status.  Yup I called today, and then I double-checked the CEAC website, and mine is in transit too. As long as you gave over both email addresses, then yes, the interview letter is emailed. But you'll find out sooner if you call daily as the email can take a day or longer to receive. Example: I found out my interview early Friday afternoon, yet only got the email around 4am on Saturday.   2. Once the package has been sent (after an interview date is assigned), yes you can still track packages. There's two links in the first post about how to track. Remember, there's no guarantee that YOUR case is in that package, but it's fun to track nonetheless (IMO).   Thanks Saylin! Starting May off with EXCITING NEWS AT 1:03AM EST! So technically you'll get an email in a week and if we get lucky we might get scheduled for an interview soon too. But I'm glad at least we are near to end Lol!
