So. I am sad.
I want my husband here.
I want life to be easier.
I want light at the end of the tunnel.
What are some things you guys do so that you are still "living life" instead of just being sad and miserable like me????

I used to talk to my husband on the phone but that just makes me even sadder the next morning...so....
any ideas??????????? sad.gif

Girl,

Cut that out. You're going to make me BAWLLLLLLL crying.gif. Don't stop talking to your hubby every morning (that should make you more determine). I know you're STRONGER than that. You've helped me over a HILL, please use those same words to help you over this hill. Don't be sad and miserable...that was me a few months ago and you got me past that. Think of something nice, something that brings you joy...the Lord will provide. Dang...SHREW...now you've done it crying.gif ...

Love you girl...keep the faith

While I missed Andre, I was not totally dependent on him for my happiness. I had my own life. I worked 2 jobs. I made cards and scrapbooks in my spare time. I spent time with my kids. I spent time with family and friends.

And, I NEVER EVER checked the progress of the visa more then once a week. I just let it take it's course. When I found out, I found out. I really believe this is what saved my sanity.

gollee, I never check online... I just wait for the email..and it never comes. hahaha

i try to scrapbook (even before I met marsh) and I just get bored with it... but I keep meaning to make one for the "photo documentation" portion of the interview folder.....but I keep forgetting! thanks for reminding me JG!

There you go.

I sent scrapbooks with Andre to the interview. The guy was really impressed with how well we had preserved our memories.

You really need to keep up with it, Shrewdie. In the end, our memories are really all we have left......and, if we can't remember them, at least we can look, read what we wrote, and enjoy!

Yep! That's what kept me from pulling out all my EYELASHES....besides other things. It's funny I hadn't checked it for almost 3 weeks (though tempted) and that Thursday I checked saw that it was touched then I got the approval e-mail a few hours later.

I have heard you say, Shredie, that you sometimes check 5 or 6 times a day. Not only is that not doing a darn thing in moving the visa along, it's driving you crazy.

You really do need to focus on something else.

hello everybody out there!!!! is it mandatory for us to bring our medical records during medical????

If you had any major medical problems in your past, I think it's a good idea to bring any records you can dig. The problem I think you are referring to was someone who had something major in her background and when asked about the records, the hospital no longer had them.

she wants me to just make copies to send to NVC.

I have heard that it has to be the originals.

Is there another way?

Any advice?

FWIW, The original tax returns are on file with the IRS... All your co-sponsor has in there possesion are copies anyways... So make additional copies and all will be fine.

Yah, that's actually what I meant when I said copies are fine.

Copies are fine. If using her returns, she needs to copy the W-2's as well. If using tax transcripts, which are free with just a phone call, W-2's are not necessary.

Some of them are combined in one shot or drops, so he can get most of them done at the same time.

Andre did not have the pneumovax done till he got to the US. And, he only had the hepatitis done through work.

You would need an TIN number to file with her.

You will not be in trouble for filing without her at interview.

I would probably consult a tax preparer. You may actually receive more of a refund by filing as married and with her. You can always amend.

You will not receive any of the economic stimulous on her since she doesn't have a SSN.

She is Columbian, living in Jamaica. The Jamaican embassy is where she has to interview.

You are going to have to get through to the state department or the embassy and go see them to get it straightened. I don't want to be all gloom and doom; but knowing the JA embassy, if you deal with them, it will not be a quick resolution. It may even be a few weeks before you can get an appointment to see them. You MUST have an appointment to get into the JA embassy.

Does the visa actually say you are a Jamaican citizen or does it just say you received your visa through Jamaica? If it just says through JA, that probably is not an issue.

Male/Female is.

I hope you resolve it quickly.

The visa says that I am a Jamaica citizen....Gender: male....nationality: Jamaican

With this being their mistake there has got to be a way to get an earlier appointment. it's rediculous that USCIS is so callous. mad.gif

This is not the USCIS.......this issue is most likely Jamaican. Dealing with that embassy can be a real challenge.

FAST is really relative in this whole process. You will never look at that word the same again when it's all said and done.

No, I think the OP said her husband tested clean, but at the time of the medical interview the husband admitted to using more than two years ago, yet it showed a recent date with the heading admitted to last using marijuana.

They always put the current date when they admit it. It's something you will see pretty much no where else but the Jamaican threads on this board. They do not care when you used. If you admit to it, they write it down on medical and automatically deny.

OP, talk to Mrs. Palmer. Her husband went through the exact same thing. Now, 3 years later, he was just approved. She may be able to tell you what to do from here.

Good luck.
