OMG Philly that is so heartbreaking!

I am going home now. Tonight is my daughters first reconciliation so I will say a few prayers for Haiti tonight when I am at church and even light a few candles.

OMG.....first Communion this year? How fun. They are so adorable on that day. Look like angels.

I LOVED first reconciliation....where they all run to be first in line at the confessionals. I remember that later when they grumble about it.

Hi Philly,

Philly, I have sent an e-mail to one of my friends that lives in Port-au-Prince, he has not responded to the email yet, but if I do hear from him what area is your family members from. I can ask him if he has heard anything about the conditions for that area.

Also, My gf is from Haiti, so she and her family are trying to contact family members too. If I hear anything that maybe of assistance to you, I would gladly pass it on. I know you have your sources, but many ears can travel far.

Your family and friends are in my prayers.

Roxcie

My prayers to your friends and all in Haiti.

Dillon you aint said nothing but a word! Right on Sis!

I understand where you are coming from too JG it is nice to adjust to your spouse for a likkle bit before starting a family right away, but if it happens it will be a blessing

Never said wasn't a blessing. Just saying, if you are disagreeing with spouce about it, it may not be the time yet. The adjustment is not easy for a long period of time. If you have the choice and the time to spare---biological clock-wise----it's nice to just be married for a while and learn to enjoy each other. If it's a surprise, it is what it is. I never think babies are anything but a blessing.

So today my Manager called me in her office to tell me they are giving me a Raise and I will be the only processor(not hiring anyone else) so I will be processing all the loans. I get a bonus for every loan I process & close.

Honestly Nat there is NEVER the perfect time to have a kid. Right now you will say you can't afford it, next it will be because you want a promotion at work, after that it will be something else. This is one of the things that you just have to do, God won't give you anything that you can't handle. Just my 2 cents.

True.....but, then again, it's nice to adjust a little to living together and just the U.S. in general before adding someone else to the mix. If you can.

I'm back. Hubby took our lil diva out to play, so I have a minute.

QUESTION: When filing the I-130-Alien Relative, what does it mean when it say legimate? My husband's aunt wants to file for his dad. They have the same dad but not the same mom. They each have BC with the dad's name on it but their moms were never married to the dad who just passed away. Would submitting the BC be evidence of "legimate" relationship between the two siblings? If not what else would be? Any suggestions would help, thanks.

I would say yes.

Well still trying to catch up but wanted to thank everyone for their positive encouragement and Prayers ( Lawny I love you! :innocent: ) where my boys are concerned. Last night I nearly dropped when my oldest son told me he would sign the behavior contract I implemented for them and that he was ready to become a part of the family again. Praise GOD, it has only been almost a year and I had no idea where the light a the end of the tunnel was I had faith that the Creator would pull me through. I was so happy at that moment and although Motherhood always presents its challenges with a stronger family unit we can work through anything in the future.

This past year has been an emotional roller coaster from happiness with my husband arriving, disappointments with two miscarriages and turmoil with the never ending drama with both boys. I thank my VJ family from everyone still on the board to Yardies that now live on FB for always having positive words for me and keeping me strong with their own stories of adjustment and letting me know I am not alone! Each and every one of you Ladies have touched my life in a special way I want to say thank you ( perhaps with some FEVAH Haaa a joke mi a mek hush Dillon LOL :jest: ) for having my back and letting this board be an outlet for all of us going through the process.

I know yall were like where are the updates but let me tell you all that drama was so emotionally draining even to type it and some of you have seen the saga so you know it was a hot mess LOL ( although I need to chronicle it cause some people would not believe what we endured in such a short time) from the stealing from my Husband, :dead: pulling a knife on him, the late night fights with Baby Daddy, all the fighting verbal and physical , the Nino Brown from New Jack city episode in my living room, to my oldest the running out of the restaurant in the snow storm cause he just couldn't accept my Husband and rather live by himself  …… I could go on and on. I just hope it's over and we are only moving forwards not backwards. A good indication was last night he talked to me extensively about several reports he did on Haiti this weekend and he needed some pics of me and the family in Haiti to for his presentation. This would have never happened months or even a week ago so that is progress. It can only get better from here!

Ok part 2 of my weekend soon come

Sweetie......I get you completely. I live with that drama ####### nearly every day. And you are right. It's exhausting. Sometimes you just have to shut down to retain any of your sanity. You know if you ever want to vent, I'm here. Believe me, your stories cannot be any worse then mine.

Take care.

I'm not really sure I'm addicted to it. It's fun. It's almost exhausting cause you are all tense thinking you might win and you sit there a long time staring at all these numbers. But, if someone called me and said you wanna play, I would be there.

Where the hell did this weekend go? I hope I'm having a nighmare and it's not over. YIKES, that was quick!

I had the best, most eventful weekend.

Saturday I took my daughter and her boyfriend to Lush. We won all these great prizes and got some nice freebies. I LOVE my friend Marla.
Saturday night, after the firehouse, I met my friend, Daniel (yes, Dillon.....he does have a name!), at our favorite bar. He was in RARE form. Was killing me.
Sunday I went to Bingo with my friend, Rob, and his parents. And, then headed down to the Bingo I've now played 3 weeks in a row to meet Chuck. You would think after 43 freakin' games of Bingo yesterday, I would win something.....anything. Ah, well, it was fun.

We really need to work 2 days a week and be off 5!!

mawnin' mi friends
today is the day i will organize all our info for the interview
i will repeat the preceding statement over and over and over until the work is done

See. This is how we know you have good willpower. There is no way in this world I could have 6 boxes of girl scout cookies in the house. My 1 box of thin mints went too fast. I thought I slowed myself down by putting them in the freezer...

Okay, why am I on hold with Jetblue, and they tell me the ESTIMATED wait time is 35 min, and then keep advertising to use the online site - But you go to the online sight and it tells you to call to use your true blue passes - Efficiency at it's lowest - it's like they are setting customers up to be furious by the time they speak to a living person!

I would hate to be in customer service anymore. You are right. They do set them up to be screamed at from the get go.
