I had vivid dreams last night. I guess I'm REALLY anticipating my tax refund & paying off that CC cause I dreamt that the refund was already direct deposited & it's only been since last Thursday! I looked today & of course, it's not there. I also had a dream of my West African dance teacher....I think myself is trying to tell myself that I need exercise in a bad way & to go back to doing what I love the most!

....or you need to take the tax refund and go to West Africa...Ghana to be precise.

Girls are great till they turn into teenagers! Mine just turned 16 and whoa... LOL actually, her and I have always been super close and now that shes older, shes like my best friend at times. Mother/daughter relationships are one of a kind... but so are son/mothers! I kno you guys will be blessed regardless!

Actually I had the opposite effect. I was the meanest mom on the planet til she beacme a teenager. I am now cool..Go figure!

This lady at my job is from England and she is so nice,
She just came up to me and asked me if someone called me Black or African American would I get offened.

Then she ask what if they called me Negras?

I was like HeL!!!! Yeah!! :bonk:

Shut The Front Door! I would be HOT.. in this day and age?

My question is what is the one thing or things that your SO has said about you that might have some truth to it?

My hubby says I don't know how to say "sorry" but that's because he is always wrong.

There are lots of things that I am...especially my looks.

I almost fell off my chair...Dillon, you are a FOX! You have EVERYTHING to be confident about.

Hmmm, never heard of LOC. We are filing AOS, they said that is what we needed to file. Yeah we have been married a couple of years... soon after I lost my job and did not have anyone to be a cosponsor. When I started to be self employed I was told incorrectly that I need at least 3 years of self employment income. I researched that answer again and found out that was not the case and also has since found a sponsor. So needless to say this is why we are just filing.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELLOS.. i feel welcomed. Back when I first filed this was a bangin board also. We became pretty good friends back then on and off board. Of course no one is here now from that time.

Has he had a green card all this time?

I think Dillon is right. You are looking at LOC. And, actually, probably pretty close to being able to file for citizenship if desired.

okay just to play the devils advocate on the hair braiding thing because when I asked Mikel said heck no too. BUT they don't have a problem with a man cutting their hair and trimming up their face (and they are all up in their face when they are trimming it) what is the difference with braiding their hair?

Read my mind. I was going to say the exact same thing.

Irie...I am not sure if we are a compatable blood type, so far I just have talked to the doctors at the Mayo Clinic to learn about the process. They still aren't sure if they will let him be a candidate for this type of proceedure. Isn't it sad that I don't even know my blood type. I would have to go through some medical testing as well as phsycological. So it doesn't seem like it is a quick process.

Ahhhhhhhh #######.....you just failed. No one goes through the visa process.....once....twice....and can be called sane! Just kidding, Dillon. I bet it is a grueling process for all. Betting they could speed it up a little if need be though.

What blood type is he?

Sus I think I have stayed at that hotel but it was under a different name back then. Is it up on the top road?

Holy #######.....now that you said that and I went back and looked, yes, I have stayed there. But, it was under a different name. For some reason the balcony reminded me of like a treehouse or A frame when we stayed. I would have to go back into my scrapbooks and look if I called it by name. It was like 2004 when I was there.

I remember it being decent enough. Nothing spectacular sticks out though.

Why did I pay for the expedited service ($30 extra) to get official copies of Steven's birth certificate from the RGD office... in early December. We still haven't received them.

I emailed them last week asking for an update. The website says they respond within 2 days, yet, no response.

Are you talking about Rush Limbaugh? Roger Ebert issued an open letter to him about that.

Actually, I can't be too upset. I'm getting so much work done today that I'm glad to be here.... plus, traffic is light since so many others are off.

What do you mean by that?

I got Andre's in 2 weeks without paying for the expedited service.

tough? Like the meat? You cook it in the pressure cooker till soft first.

I just got this email from my job...since they match this is where I will be donating.

Dear Colleagues,

On January 12, the island of Haiti experienced a catastrophic earthquake--leaving behind much death and devastation. Many of you have asked what Monsanto is going to do in response to this disaster.

We are activating our Global Disaster Match Program immediately. Monsanto Fund will match any employee gift up to $1,000 in response to the Haiti disaster, given to the following organizations:

• American Red Cross
• United Nations Foundation Central Emergency Response Program
• Friends of the World Food Program

You can find the all the information you need to make your donations, and register your donation for a match from Monsanto, at http://w3nadom.monsa...saster.nsf/Home. Additionally, donations to this Global Disaster Match Program will not count against the $5,000 limit on matching donations for U.S. employees.

Monsanto Company will also be donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross for Disaster Relief--on top of any matching funds.

In situations like this, when we see once again how compassionate and motivated Monsanto employees are, it is apparent why Monsanto is such a great place to work. You are the heartbeat of our company, and you have shown again and again how much you care about people--each other, our customers and people we will never meet.

Thank you for all you do. And thank you for caring so much about the world we live in, and the people who share this planet with us.

We have priests down there unaccounted for right now. They are trying to find out information.

Need to have son fill out scholarship paperwork.

I penciled you in. Only thing might be the Lindbergh H.S. lot sale. Ever been? It's huge and I've made lots of money out there. If it is.....and I think it usually is right around Mother's Day....I have to be out there. My friends and I have a couple spots our there every May and September. I will call her over weekend and find out exactly when that is.

OMG JG that is a hot mess LOL but it made me laugh

Makes your feet small :jest:

(shrug) he's 17....going 1/2 day to highschool and 1/2 day to college and has his first girlfriend. I can't sweat him too much. He's a good kid with a lot of stuff on his plate right now.

But, he's got to look at the big picture here. College is expensive!

morning Ladies can't sleep...I've lost a few friends in Haiti -- one the brothers is staying with my parents they're waiting to tell his mom but she's recovering from surgery he says he can't do this on his own...so, we're going to go with him later this morning. His mom has been asking and we don't know how she'll take the news. She's 72. He left Haiti on Sunday to be with his mom here while she recovered. He lost most of his family in Haiti.

I'm so sorry, Tre.

Acrow, you can download the form from this site http://www.pica.gov.jm/content/home/.
He needs to complete it and have it notarized along with 2 passport pictures( only 1 photo to be notarized) take these along with his expired passport to the passport office.
There is a 24 hr service which I think cost about $7000 and a 3 day service for about $6000.00.

good luck

I'd say just the GOOD LUCK part on the 24hr or 3 day service. I'll be waiting to hear if that is even possible!!!!!

anybody know the easiest way for my husband to renew his Jamaican passport? He is down there right now, but only for a week and a half.

The situation in Haiti is so tragic there aren't even words...I am so sorry for any of you that might have family down there...I hope and pray for you

We actually did it through the US embassy here. It was not difficult.

My suggestion is IF he waits to come back here and do it, have him get pics taken down there. We had a hell of a time getting the exact one's they wanted here. They would ONLY accept The Picture People or Sear's Photo Studio passport pics from here. Had them return the damn thing with that specifically said in the letter.

They send it from the US to JA and then back via Fed Ex. I have the websites saved that I used if you need any help there.
