You know it took me a while to not argue cause I used to flip out and stress out myself.... but girl this contract I drew up works wonders and all I have to do now is whip it out and here are the Consequence(s) /Restrictions for failing to meet these conditions:

Removal of the following from the bedroom:

? Television
? DVD player
? Access to Direct TV Cable
? Xbox 360
? MP3 Player
? Phone(s)

I love the contract and they now fear it LOL

Damn....can I move in? Unless I plug in my cell to charge I don't have any of that!!!!!

You know that is always my Mantra Dada cause no matter what we are going through as long as we have honest communication we can overcome/get trough anything

The only person I really chat too about marital issues is Mrs Bootsy she has been married to the same man for 40 years and they have been through it all and she has pure wisdom for me. We are on the phone all the time and she is only next door she will hear D int eh background mumbling/groaning and she knows what is going on and she nuh even deh deh. She seh oh he wants you off the phone you not paying him no mind haaa and she is right. She also advises to always be honest and open with each other it can only strengthen your bond!

I'm so confused.......I thought Mrs. Bootsy was your cat?

Hey Yardies. How are you all doing?? It's been a long time but I thought I'd pop in to say hello to all. Hope all is well with everyone and that the New Year has brought new adventures and good news for all. Well, I am going to be nosey and read some post and see if I can catch up with the going ons around here. Might not post much as I have no journey but will try to hang in as much as I can.

Much love
Claire

We can start out own NO JOURNEY thread.

Hang around, Claire. It's all good.

I agree I used to love talking to couples with many years of experience. It's like they could relate to you. One thing I will mention Dens is if you have some "single "friends be careful with their advice. Sometimes it's not always the best advice. I truly believe a person can't always speak on something if they have never been in your shoes. My single ladies couldn't really relate they were quick to tell me leave him. In the end I did but that's not always the answer. You have to remember he is no longer your boyfriend or man he is your husband and like they say through good times and bad.

I still think communication is the most important factor. Without it the relationship will be hard. Couples have to learn that rather it will hurt your feelings or not talk about it.

I have GF who is driving me nuts. She says her relationship has lost all #######. I told her it's not always the man who has to initiate things the woman does too. So many woman sit back and wait for their man to bring the WOW factor. I believe it's on both parties. A man likes to be wowed just like us woman do. I told her to start it and then let him take it from there. She said she agreed with me but she hasn't done anything yet. So then I told her to talk to him about it and let him know how you feel. Again she agreed with me but she still hasn't spoke to him about it. .When she came bk to complain I told her until she tries step one or two I don't want to hear it…

O.k. I got completely of the subject but you know what I mean  … LOL

Amen, sister. I'm a firm believer in mutual spark igniter. Sometimes it's as simple as do some silly things to bring the fun back into your life.

You must have been in love to wear it….I can just picture him being so proud and you looking like you want to kill him….

No love there......Just a fun guy when he didn't levitate, spin his head around, and spit green shyt out of his mouth!!!!!

So sorry to hear that Tee. A few of Ray's have died since he's been here and it was hard because it was all before he received his EAD. Hang in there.

Yep, same thing.

Prayers and hugs Tee.

Happy Friday everyone!!

I seriously almost killed my son last night. He has been grounded this whole week because of his dutty attitude and his chronic classroom disruption at school. So he has not been allowed to watch tv, play xbox, or go to basketball. Last night he asked if he could take his xbox to his dads this weekend and i said no.....he proceeds to go into a fit like a 3 year old and tell me that his dad is the one who bought the xbox so he could take it over there if he wants to.......i was like OH REALLY???? we'll see about that!

I love when my kids are having one of those fits and I look at them calm as can be and say OH YOU THINK SO? They just shut up and look at me. Hard not to laugh at them.

To President Charles, to Vice President EWOK, thanks for encouraging our posts and making up start a new thread that makes us chat more.

Awwwww.....I feel the love.

ok i have a question on the form for the ead it ask if ever applied for ead before ... what do you answer if he was here on a work visa

That was not EAD. So, you can answer no.

Ok, I sound like a boring old woman... LOL

Tierra's b-day is 3/20 ... 1st day of Spring. We are having a Tea Party. I have gone to antique shops, goodwills etc and found a bunch of flowery mismatched tea cups and saucers. Last night went to the fabric store and bought "springy" colored fabric squares (all different) and my mom and I are make little aprons for all the girls to take home... so this weekend we are doing that.
Then for the party I am going to get hats or visors for the girls to decorate and take home... all in a Spring Tea Party theme.
Gosh... I love to decorate and plan these things for Tierra!! LOL

Then Saturday night my BFF and her new "friend" are coming to hang "in".....

No big parties, no going out.. but I love my family and friends and look forward to weekends and these little things.

That sounds lovely. That's my cousin's birthday too.

I'm going to a country concert tonight.
Tomorrow firehouse and maybe meet Daniel and Rob at the bar after.
Sunday.....no plans yet. Bingo maybe? Maybe veg at home.

Supposed to be a beautiful weekend here. Hopefully, I will be outside most of the time.

Why the first time I went to Jamaica I had a belt buckle that had lights on it and said words going across it Wow it seems it was the 90's but I met my hubby in 2006 Posted Image

lata Q traveling mercies.

OMG......MEMORIES.

Tre, your cousin bought me a belt one day. He called me and went on and on about this really cool thing he bought me and couldn't wait to give it to me.

It was this butt ugly black belt with like silver lace on it. The buckle was this gigantic silver flower thing looked like some old lady broach. It LIT UP. You could do blue flash, yellow flash, red flash, 2 colors flash together, or all of them flash like alternating Christmas lights. He made me wear the damn thing to some Duncan's street party.

When I got home, my cousin was like it looks like.........anyone seen "Airplane" where Pricilla Presley opens her lingerie robe and there's a big neon sign pointing to her coochie that says OPEN?.....looks like that. We turned off the lights and I danced around. All you could see was my crotch.

God, we laughed about that belt for a few years.

I just wanna thank God for nominating and given me this award. i also want to thank Pookie, JoJo, Tank, LaLa, Mis Naughty, Lil Joker, ad Girl and all my other homies in the joint that cant be here today to see this glorious occasion. :bonk:
*serious though*
My friend damnneicy encouraged me to get involved with this thread and I am so happy she did. My connection to this group is my hubby is from Jamaica and I have alot in common with you all. I feel that this thread can help with alot of things like adjustment issues and marriage for ones that have been in the same category. VJ is giving me this award because I have chatted up a storm for 11 1/2 months now since joining this community and finally getting my heart of honor. Well the first time I attended a meeting here I didnt like these women, they were fighting and argueing and telling each other off. But when I got to know some of them on the web cam and im and text message I found that everyone wasnt like that.

I have seen other except this same award and they dont appreciate it like me, So i feel the judges should give me there hearts.

My most memorable moment here is when my granny past. I had so many prayers and love from all the girls that its was unbelievable. I thank God for this VJ and would encouraging more to try it out, if they are in this situation.

Thank you and God Bless

ST. LOUIS: Two people are injured in fire
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
03/09/2010

Two elderly people were injured Monday night in a fire at a four-flat apartment building at 2141 and 2143 Russell Boulevard.

The man and woman suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, St. Louis fire department Deputy Chief Brian Walsh said.

Firefighters rescued the man and the woman, who was bedridden, from separate apartments.

The 9:30 p.m. blaze likely started in the basement and significantly damaged the building.

The cause of the fire was not known. One firefighter needed the help of his partner when he became disoriented inside the building and his breathing unit began to run low on air, Walsh said.

The firefighters got out safely and were not hurt.

I was a nervous wreck last night. The Partner mentioned would be my BF.

Poor baby! Glad he is okay.

I see you down there Saunsgal....congrats to hubby on getting a job! Also congrats on your 1 year anniversary.

Hey Quana, it is nice that you got to spend the time with him. That is a blessing.

Personally I am all for cremation. I guess its a family thing. My mother said if we ever put her in a box she is coming back to haunt us.
Her boyfriend of 15 years passed away when I was in my 20's. He was cremated and his ashes put in the ocean here in Maine... my mother has asked for the same thing so she "can be with Joe".

For QUANA -- I know I am a day late a dollar short on this topic as usual but my condolences to you Q!

Secondly, if he was a veteran there is a fund for burial of all veterans regardless of when and when they served, active duty or not.

Hi Yardies...Just a little update. My hubby and I just celebrated our first anniversary yesterday and he got a job yesterday. Praise be to God! Other than that, we are doing okay. Daughter is driving me crazy with her boycraze and one of my supervisors at work cannot spend a day without calling me to give me corrective counseling with her Harry Porter looking self (but I digress), I finally had to go to HR for harrasment, but we shall see. Just keep me in your prayers.

Thats what I want to know

Example:Once when my hubby was still in Jamaica, The baby stayed with him on every weekend and on this particular weekend he had to go to work on Monday and the baby had to go to school.
He called her to say he was bringing her back home from the weekend this was around 7pm , do you know that she left about 15 minutes lata and went to a party and had him sitting in front on her house until 1am in the morning.
Girl that day he wanted to kill herPosted Image

She is a party animal and to me just need a break for a year or two is what she thinkingPosted Image, but hubby said she aint going back anytime soon. Until her mother can be a better role model for her and get a job and education. This is her time I hope she takes advantage of it.

I think to her she is a burden for some reason, and she said last week that she went to the school to ask the teacher why is the baby so rude at home. the teacher said wow she is rude at home she is a well behaved child at school.

Wonder what will happen when she realizes there isn't any more money coming to her once the child is with you?

I am the exact same way when I travel. When I travel with my homegirls, we end up in the hood, kickin' with the locals, etc..When we went to JA for the 1st time, we traveled with other girls...They were like, "OMG!! you guys are going to a party with the locals??" "I saw the movie "Taken" and I'm scared". I'm thinking don't nobody want yall a$$!!!

When we went to Rio de Janiero, we were all in the favelas. I just love to truly experience a country and meet different people. Some people think they are better than others because they are from America.

Well, that is true.....but, it can be very dangerous in parts where you don't know......there, here, wherever. You all may have all these nice stories of partying with the locals. But, I've experienced some things that are not so nice.....they aren't for everyone. I think everyone needs to be careful.

At one point, DJ had this little puppy, about 6 weeks old - the man had no food in his house, but would cook cereal each am for the dog - who had a bed in the corner of the bedroom. Yet when I woke up in the middle of the night, I had a foot in my neck cause the puppy was up on DJ's chest, tucked under his chin. Then he got a cat - I found out cause he was laying in bed talking to me on the phone and I could hear purring - the cat was curled up on him. He is the one who feeds all the puppies in his yard -

No worries about the pets being treated like one of our kids.

So you have two dogs now? I thought the one you just got was your only one -

We had Daisy and Bosco.....dog and cat. Daisy went to live with my daughter and my ex when I bought my house. I got Tiger, the dog, whenever that was last year. I just had Daisy over for the entire last week. She's not overly fond of Tiger's youthfulness.
