I was going to go to taco bell after Q said that but then I remember I just had tacos for dinner last night. So I have been snacking on the food here at the office since people brought stuff in for May Birthdays today.

I had ice cream cake for breakfast for that same reason. Love birthday lunch day. Ours was yesterday.

Ok so I need to vent, I am on the 11th floor at work and it is 22 flights of stairs to walk if you dont take the elevators. I don't like elevators because the constantly break down and blah blah blah so I used to walk the stairs but now that I am pregnant it makes it difficult cause I get winded so easily and very dizzy. Anyhow, Today twice we had false emergency alarms and had to evacuate the bldg. the first time only walked two flights not so bad and turn around because they stated it was a false alaram. Now the second time I walked all the way down just about to exit and once again they say go ahead back up false alarm UGGG! My God i made it but Jesus I am so exhausted right now I want to just crawl in the bed and sleep and I still have another few hours to go.

Anyway hope everyone elses afternoon is going well.

Sorry, sweetie. But, in an emergency, you aren't going to get to use the elevators. Keep up that endurance just in case. Posted Image

Hello everyone.

Haven't signed on in ages. Things went downhill with Lance and I. He never even got his passport or anything for us to continue with the CR1. I've decided to file for a divorce. Has anyone done this before or have any idea how I can go about doing so?

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Marie, I think it's just like any other divorce, only LD. You have to get him to sign some papers; but if he refuses, there are ways around it.

I did my own divorce. I can help you. PM me if you want.

Mine is being irked by a 14 year old girl who thinks she's grown enough to put one over on her father. Well, maybe she can; but I'm a little too good at digging up info. to let her do it to him.

I have a benefit to go to tomorrow for a little girl mauled by a dog. A bunch of drunken firemen....always a good time. Sunday, my oldest graduates from high school. 400+ kids...and he's almost smack dab in the middle. Hope I can stay awake. Why does the darn thing have to start at 6 p.m.?

Here is the letter to the school district superintendent: (yall knew it was coming, lol)

Dear Mr. Ignatuk:

I am writing this email to you regarding my daughter Kayana Guerrant. I have tried to reach Assistant Principal Maiers on two occasion. Once leaving him a voicemail on Thursday, May 20th and again today only to be told he wasn't in the office. I am frustrated. On Friday, May 14th a teacher by name of Mrs. Morriston confiscated my daughter's cell phone. I understand that the regulations are that cell phones are not to be used in school. According to my daughter, (and I'd be more than willing to address this with Mrs. Morriston), she was taking her cell phone from one pocket and putting it into another. Mrs. Morriston confiscated her phone or she was to be suspended for three days. That is fine with me. If my child is wrong she's wrong, but the fact that now the phone is missing when it was supposed to be returned to her and nobody seems to be calling me back and giving me a STRAIGHT answer about the phone is leaving me very frustrated and irate. I don't have the time nor energy to argue about the phone. I have two choices in this matter. 1. Someone needs to return my child's phone to me personally or 2. The school needs to compensate me for a new phone. While the phone is not in use, I still have a bill to pay on it every month. It is not fair to me that the school lost her phone. I am willing to pursue this further if need be.

?

I am awaiting your response to this email. Thank you for your time.

?

Mrs. Guerrant-Gardner

Parent of Kayana Guerrant - 9th grader

cc: Mr. Mills

Sounds very professional and to the point. Kid at my son's school had the same thing happen. I didn't hear if he ever got his phone back or what they did.

I really wish you luck.

From day one until eternity

A year ago I filed for you
A year ago today
It seems like forever
It feels like yesterday

We've been there for each other
We've held on day by day
You touch my soul so deeply
With the kindness you display

I love your gentle manner
So eager you are to please
You walked into my world
A refreshing summer breeze

You take me to a place
I never thought I'd know
Every day you show me
How enormous love can grow

We've been through so much now
We've held on through the rain
Our bond made ever stronger
Because we share the pain

I vow to never leave you
Together we will be
And I will always love you
From day one until eternity

Okey dokey.....so I am liking the look of Information Systems Management....

Pros
Can be done on a beach in Jamaica
I would enjoy it greatly
Many possible career avenues
Can be easily done online

Cons
Very 'general' major
Everyone and their mother is probably doing it

Thoughts anyone??

My friend does this for Mastercard and some of their subsidiaries. He's on a very tight leash when it's his turn to be on call. He gets calls at all hours of day and/or night cause they aren't dealing with people in just one time zone. He says most everything is complicated.

I suppose he gets paid well.

I know on weeks he is the on call person, I stay as far away from him as possible cause he is almost unbearable.

I haven't. But, they play over there all the time. Last time we went, I didn't even hear the band.

We went up to the clubhouse and ate at the buffet, got some $1 beers, and then Daniel and I walked back and forth from the stables to the racetrack to watch nearly every race. We only went back to club house to get more $1 beers. My friends stayed up in the a/c the whole time.

Morning all -

We went to these printers called "Multi Function Devices", which copy, print, scan, fax,.... - We all call them "Mother F***er Doesn't work" - People jam them all the time and leave it, don't put in service calls, etc.. - I have gotten to the point where I am linked to just about every printer in the building - if I try to print and it is jammed, I cancel my job and print to a different one!

So, 48 hours from now I will be landing in Jamaica - And all I have packed is some fruit snacks, a boys bathing suit and tshirts and sandals, coloring books, and a frisbee - I think I have a problem, lol

Morning all!!!

Sooooo....I know it's early and I just got to work, but I'm pissed already.

There are two of us on the front desk here. The other girl was here when I came. She has constantly tried to get me to do all the stuff she hates doing, which for the most part, she's done.
So yesterday, she tried to print something and it dodn't print. She said ' Oh no, the printer's broken again?' I was like I hope not.

So she goes over to check it, and she says the toner is finished. So I told her 'the new cartridge is in the supply closet' She says 'ummm.....ooookayyyyyy'.
Attitude was like 'Why are you telling me?'

Now, as far as I know, I am not assigned to change printer toner, it is a SHARED duty.

This morning I come in, printer still needs toner, FRIG if I'm touching SHEEEEET. When she hauls herself in here (late as usual), will be asking her if she thinks it's my job to change the cartridge. Frig that.

Yeah, I was feeling this same ####### yesterday. Thre are 8 of us here that can share the reception duties when our receptionist is off the next 3 days. Apparently, 4 of us are WAAAAYYYYYYY to busy to sit here for an hour. So, now 4 of us have 2 hours. ####### ever.....just for that, I am not doing a damn thing when I am sitting here.

Morning Dillon!!!

JG, I guess it's hard for you to even think about your daughter THINKING about sex let alone anything more....Best possible thing you can do though is prepare.....I thank God every day I don't have a daughter, she might be like me.

At 15 I was going to parties and dances, dating etc. Luckily I had my head screwed on tight and avoided anything else!!! But it is so darn scary nowadays, especially since sex is taken so casually among teens...it's like it's abnormal to be over 16-17 and be a virgin....

Her dad had his first child right after high school. I think cause that marriage and relationship crashed and burned, he's overly cautious.

I would rather have him be like that then stick his head in the sand and say, not my daughter. You know.

Do you believe in the theory of 3's? Like everything happens in 3's? I do.

My Mom informed me yesterday that the cough she's had for what seems like forever has finally been diagnosed. She has a rare form of emphysema. It is treatable with some sort of meds even though it's "very rare form" according to her. She has never smoked, btw. She also has a hiatal(?) hernia that is now pressing against her heart.

My father has lost circulation in his right leg from his knee to his foot. He is seeing a vascular surgeon today.

My sister-in-law's mother.....who I adore, even though I do not like my SIL so much.....was diagnosed with brain cancer in January after just one episode of dizziness in December. She has progressed in just 5 months to not being able to walk from one room to another with out resting and she loses simple words while trying to talk. Really sad.

Add to that the fact that my ex called me Saturday and asked me to take our daughter to the doctor and discuss birth control...........my head is about to explode.

I highly doubt it. No kids food, no games for kids. They basically just used it for an excuse for a sit down dinner and party. The kids that were there as guests were all in suits and 'Sunday' dresses. Was kind of strange for me, as most of the guests brought cards with money in it instead of toys for the child as we would expect in Jamaican/English/American culture.

Event was in a hall/community center, so no chance of kids being put to bed!

OK, so they didn't buy. But, how did they turn out? Were you happy with your new printer?

I just love love love to cook! Its so rewarding and satisfying. Yesterday I roasted a chicken with cornbread stuffing, white rice and gravy, and cabbage.

The other night I made jerk bbq chicken wings, spinach, potatoes and onions, baked chocolate chip cookies and put a pork in the slow cooker for dinner the next night and I made rice and peas to go with it.

I'm that way about cleaning my house, Tee.

Poor children that were there were dropping all over like flies....Was thinking they should have gone ahead and had the party in her honor but let her stay home and sleep!

On the donwnside, as is usual at most African events I cover, I didn't sell many photos, but the fee for covering was still excellent!! Was really interesting seeing their traditions and looking at the food, they had a full African buffet.

I have only cooked twice for my husband since he moved here. He does all the cooking...My daughter also learned real early in life to cook for herself if she wants to eat...lol.

That is what I am saying. Either BF or kids cook for me. I don't really like to cook. I will just happily clean up after.

JaEng, I would also lean towards the non-pushy person.

I think some people would go with a pushy person because they feel intimidated, and those feelings would cloud their view of the experience. That has happened to me enough to where I walk away from the overly agressives.

That being said, I don't think you'd be pushy if you did one follow-up, especially it were in an email or text format, where you weren't asking them voice-to-voice for an answer on the spot.

I personally like a follow up e-mail or letter. I cannot stand people calling me.
