Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGreen Card
That's what I am thinking.........the spite thing.........Otherwise, why do people put such emphasize on the timing of the green card and divorce? If divorce is in the cards, just do it. No need to look at some sort of timing.

QUOTE (daphne2109 @ Oct 14 2008, 12:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Tks for your replies guys, but sorry to bother again, so it is ok if I included docs dated a month earlier than my 2 yr GC right? I got married in September 2006, I filed the AOS form in October 2006, I got my 2 yr GC in January 2007, so it's fine if I include docs dated October & December 2006, and of course docs dated up today, right?

Tks again!!!!

QUOTE (1daysoon @ Oct 15 2008, 05:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Oh well here we go again . It has been so good not having to worry about immigration for 2 years but we are back in the system once more. My cousins from the UK have just gone back home after spending 2 great weeks here with us and it was so nice spending our 3rd Anniversary with them. Sure gonna miss them crying.gif

Got the I-751 mailed yesterday so now we just sit and wait for news. Put in as much info, proof and pics as we could maybe then we will get approved without an interview, after the mix up with the last interview. good.gif

Will be back on here alot now so I can get you guys to refresh my memory on how to check on our progress.

Y'all take care

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionIs he going to be DENIED?
QUOTE (AntandD @ Oct 13 2008, 12:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yes, that is true...and they did fill the form out correctly at the time, as "there were no arrests"... smile.gif

So on that note, their application would probably not be rejected, they won't revoke the NOA, and if all goes well, they will more likely than not be approved.

However, it would not be the truth when/if specifically asked later on and if they omitted and/or lied about such, which could be a cause for "denial"....

Ant

QUOTE (*Len* @ Oct 13 2008, 01:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
She didn't lie when they first submitted the paperwork. At the time there had been no arrests, from what I understand.

Again, Ant, that was not the case WHEN they submitted the paperwork. If they have an interview, that is the appropriate time to tell the tale and produce associated paperwork. If they do not have an interview, it's not an issue at all.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionIs he going to be DENIED?
Shouldn't really be an issue. Because it will take a long time to get through the courts, he will most likey have his 10 year GC before they even dispose of the case.

If you have an interview, it would be wise to mention it.

Looks great.

If you can find the paper the original green card came attached to, they would like that too. If not, dont'worry.

Any bills with both your names on it would help as well.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVERMONT SUCKS!!!!
We are at CSC right now. Applied in August. At this point, I could care less how long it takes. I'd only sweat it when it nears that one year mark on the NOA and we have to drive down and get a stamp in the passport. Otherwise, it makes absolutely no difference.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMore evidences for I-765
QUOTE (frenchie @ Oct 21 2008, 02:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi guys,

I just got the NOA and it says: " If you have not already done so, provide supporting documents to assist USCIS in processing your petition and to establish eligibility to remove the conditional basis of your permanent residence...:

- Lease of joint tenancy or joint ownership of assets
- Joint mortgage agreement and/or property deed
- Tax returns
- Birth certificates of any child born from the marriage
- Joint policies of life, medical and/ or car insurance "

Here is my list of evidences that I sent along with my petition:
- Copy of Marriage Certificate
- Copy of Green Card (back and front)
- Copy of Bank Account Statement
- Copy of Tax return 2007
- Copy of electricity bill and internet bill
- Copy of car insurance policy
- Some pictures

We don't have any children, health insurance and lease.
Should I send more bank account statements (for any month of 2006 and 2007) and the tax return 2006 since I only sent the bank account statement of September and the tax return 2007?
OR
Should I wait until I get a RFE?

Thanks- your help will be very appreciated!!

That is the standard message every single person gets when they file the LOC. Please do not worry unless you are given a reason to worry.

I scrapbook and make my own greeting cards all the time. I have 3 full scrapbooks of just Jamaica pictures and I honestly believe they helped solidify our case at the embassy. I have done about 15 full 12 x 12 scrapbooks thus far, the last being for my grandmother's funeral.

I scrap any pictures I take. This is the 2 pages I did for a St. Louis VJ meet up we had a few months ago......

I'm so sorry.

Yes, I think you should see someone. From experience, I know you will never get completely over that vulnerable feeling. Your husband should have a little more sympathy and understanding. Shows a lack of maturity on his part, if you ask me.

I wish you luck.

A deep love and respect for someone even if you can't live with them....or ever be romantically involved.......is actually very healthy IMO.

He told me today he's coming to NYC (for a trip with his girlfriend and to hang out with moi) in December and he is thinking about proposing.

Have any of you ever had that weird "don't know how to feel about it" reaction when you hear that your first love is going to be taken..for good?

I can actually tell you what I felt when my first love told me he was seperating from his wife. That happened at the end of last year.

My husband and I decided it would be cool to visit Washington DC at the end of September just before my citizenship test. It sort of seems appropriate. I mean, doesn't almost every Canadian make their way to Ottawa at some point to see Parliament Hill?

Can any recent visitor or local suggest a nice hotel under $200 in the Dupont Circle area? (Rates apparently drop after Labor Day.)

Thanks!

We stayed at Comfort Inn last year. It was decent. I think we payed about $159. It's closer to the next subway exit after Dupont Circle, though. Even though we did walk there from Dupont Circle.

Hello all;
The last time I wrote I wanted to return home to my country. I was very ill. I am now home and feeling much better. I have an appointment with my Doctor.
At the border, the USA custom ask me to return my green card, as they told me it would interfer with my medicare. I gave it to them, was fingerprinted and explain by them I may not return to live unless I stand in front of a judge. I don't plan on returning to live , ever. We are all different, it was not for me. I found Troy, Missouri a very dark place.
I found work here, and slowly will start to get my life in order. I have a lot of good friends and family who are helping me get furniture and so on. Yes, I miss my husband, but not as much as I thought I would.
I have a question , is my husband suppose to write or contact immigration, to tell them I am no longer in the USA, as I was a CR-1. I was only there for 4 months. It felt a lot longer. What happened to me, does not mean it will happen to anyone else. I love being in my country. There was a lot of things my husband did not share with me. It's not that he is not a good man, he is. I wish all of you for a safe journey.
Marie

There are better places to live in Missouri.

Sorry it didn't work out. Best of luck to you!
