K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Confused by wording on NOA Approval for K-1 Visa	Howdy! (First, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I don't see much to choose from, but I'm green in the field of navigating discussion boards.) Today I received the hard-copy for our VSC approval. But, in comparing it to an image of an older NOA2 approval from VJ, my version says "your petition has been sent to the listed consulate" instead of the previous "your petition has been sent to the NVC." What gives? Is this a new change, or something that has been around for awhile? Do I still call the NVC to get an NVC number? Is it really skipping the NVC and going straight to the consulate? Also, I don't see a consulate listed! I'm concerned because I changed the consulate (thought Calgary would work for non-immigration visas, but apparently it must be Vancouver... worried it's been sent to the wrong one and encountered more delays). I'm just venting- called tonight ten minutes before they closed, but the lines were already down. :-/ So I have to freak out until the morning, instead. Charging for connection and maintenance seriously in 21st century??? Don't think I would go for it. Google chats 2. Skype logs 3. Calling Cards - I am using calling cards to call my fiancee, and talk to her at least twice a day. Unfortunately calling cards don't track the number you call as there is no billing nothing. Is just reciepts will suffice? Or what should I do? I have my ticket for 8 November, will land on Philadelphia International Airport and i want to know if i have to take my X ray with me or just the envelope from the embassy? Also my question is at the port of entry will they check all my luggage and can i put some medication on the checked in bags or not? I am happy i am gonna be soon with my love but i am a lil bit nervous about this port of entry thing... Because it tells you to list them even if they are not coming with you. We listed that the children would not be coming with him on the consulate forms we checked the will not accompany and will not follow boxes etc... So why would they list them on the appointment letter? Should we be concerned that they are considering the children. We have their birth certificates and all of that. However we do not have passports for them as they will not be traveling to the US. The problem as the others stated and I believe it's in the USC K1 visa description that k1 is intended for the sole purpose of getting married, if you already know ahead that you guys don't plan to marry then that is false use of the visa and grounds for some consequences. Let's just say hypothetically INS,ICE, USCIS.etc..found out about your plan and charge you for visa fraud and resulted in you being banned from re-entry, even though you children would not be fully accountable for the visa fraud, they may be put on a less severe watch list that can affect eligibility/benefits for future admission to the US (remember this is all hypothetical). Everyone seems to be experts on the process of coming here on a K1 but does anyone know exactly what happens if you decide not to marry and return? Do you just return your I-94 and get on a plane or is there a process that includes an exit interview with authorities, or follow up survey afterwards? Just curious!!!! OMG. Texas service center does not process the K-1 petitions it is a sorting facility. From there it is sent to VSC or CSC to be processed. the texas service center (not to be confused with the texas lockbox facility) is NOT a sorting facility but a full fledged service center that does not however process I-129F's. We want to get a K1 visa instead of a spouse visa since we've heard it's faster than a spouse visa and can be done at the local embassy (Ankara in our case) instead of having to be filed to the US, as per the latest changes. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Case forwarded to Consulate	I called the USCIS Customer Service last Friday about an address change and I was told by the rep that once I get an approval notice it goes directly to the Consulate and the Consulate will contact my fiancee. I double checked with him about the NVC and was told that it DOES NOT go to NVC , directly to the consulate. I am confused myself. She live in india & i plan to go pick her her up & return to the u.s in feb2012. Her visa is valid for 6 months still. Question: we want to go on a vacation to thailand before coming back to the u.s which would require both o us getting a tourist visa. Would that cause any problems during our aos down the road ? would they think we went on a honeymoon or something ? because of the recent flooding the deals are real good & being i'm from the U.s i don't get to travel to that part of the often or is it best to no go there.? There is one line that asks for name in native alphabet. You need to put it in. Like Güler. My future last name. You can also hand write the form. Or type it and add with pen later. Plus, Im at work when my mail gets delivered to my house so if by any chance it does get to my mail box I wont be able to sign for anything if required and I really dont want to risk late delivery or no delivery or the anticipation of did it come or not. So my question is, could we, my fiancee and I both put our work addresses as mailing addresses? would that cause any problems or somehow arouse suspicion in their eyes for any reason? I dont know y it would but like I said, I just want to avoid anything that would elongate the process and worse, prevent him from getting the visa. I had asked a lawyer couple months back and he had said that shouldnt be a problem but I had noticed that there isnt any place on the forms to differentiate home address from mailing address, unluess I overlooked it somehow. Currently she is planning to leave back to Peru in early February, but her tourist visa was stamped to return in early May. This way would be much easier. It is true that we did not plan to marry on her visit now but we are investigating how to get married. If we marry now and they deny her the adjustment of status, I can submit for cr-1 correct? but she would go back to Peru and await the visa correct? the likelihood of denial of aos is remote. It was sent with a tracking number and they've recieved it, but I had also attached a request for a four month extension as advised by the US consulate in Sydney and still have no idea if the extension was granted. Where he signed it states: "I understand that my admissibility is questioned for the above reasons, which i have read or which have been read to me in the spanish language. I request that i be permitted to withdraw my application for admission and return abroad. I understand that my voluntary withdrawl of my application for admission is in lieu of a formal determination concerning my admissibility." This form has boxes to check from. They only checked 2 boxes. 1. Application for admission withdrawl 2. Visa/BCC Canceled This is simply a denial of entry. Maybe try typing without txt speak, it'll make you easier to understand. OP: I am sorry for your situation, but your fiance abused his tourist visa to live in the USA.
