IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	My husband won't need a passport until later in the process correct?	He doesn't have a passport right now, I was planning on mailing the i-130 soon. He doesn't actually need a passport until later in the process right? When they ask for a copy of the biographic page in the intending immigrant's passport. Just making sure, thanks. Philippines	China Police Clearance	I managed to get my Police Certificate from Guangzhou China because that's where I worked.  I must tell you that it was a pretty long and tedious process which took 10 weeks to get (mind you I am living in NZ).  Lucky for me I have relatives that got it for me but this meant going to the PBS and then to the Notary Office to get it translated into English.  If I can remember correctly it cost RMB200 2 copies.   ?You must present your passport containing your Chinese visa to the local Public Security Bureau. Non-Resident Requests You can obtain a police certificate from the local Public Security Bureau by asking someone to act on your behalf in China. To do this, you must give this person: ?Specific written authorization. ?If you are a Chinese national, a photocopy of your national identification card and household register booklet (hukou). ?If you are a non-Chinese national, a photocopy of your passport, including the page that contains the Chinese visa. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	USCIS Immigrant Fee	Well in that case, can somebody explain this.  I was going to pay the Immigration Fee when I receive my K1 Visa.  Or can it be done both ways, pay before or pay when the AOS paperwork is done?  Cheers   http://www.uscis.gov...s-immigrant-fee   From my understanding, the $165 IS for the Greencard so I figure that if the $165 is paid before leaving for the US the sooner we will receive our Greencard. Philippines	Passport pickup at USEM	If you are asking if YOU can pick it up then No. She will have to be there to pick it up with 2 forms of photo ID. best to have her NBI and some other type of photo id work, school ect.. Have used it since 2001 to call the Philippines and have yet to have a problem. Unlike most calling cards you get the minutes you pay for, no connection or maintance fees. Looking at your timeline, it looks like consulate changed their decision in just one week. Didn't they sent the documents back to US? Did you writeto their general address ConsularAlmaty@state.gov or you contacted someone specific? i was able to get them to change their mind with 2 emails..and a call to jeffrey, the consul director...they gave sanita a form with 221g ...on it was written return to usa...it is similar but they never snet it back due to my explanation and her honesty was not in question, just that her believes made it ahrd for her to answet their questions...i emailed almaty at the general address and called the # listed on the consul..they only answer emails and take calls certain days..i think tuesday and thursday..good luck..keep me in the loop dean	almaty	Male	Kazakhstan	2006-04-21 11:09:00
US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Interview denied	I found out that on the denial form the officer marked "other" checkbox for the reason for denial and wrote no comments. first of all, all is not lost..it is not a denial but a motion to return to the usa for possible review of the application...i went through this with sanita..she got 221g for not knowing enough about my past...i emailed them why (cultural/religious) and contacted the director, jeffrey by phone..need to call them and e-mail the consulate allot...also, tell them you come there and meet with them... almaty can be reasoned with..i be through this and be glad to offer my assistance..pm me./.deam	almaty	Male	Kazakhstan	2006-04-20 15:49:00

Okay... i am so excited now... will you guys please help me with the next step?
