This Thursday, start calling NVC ( 603-334-0700) to check on that status of your case and to see if they sent it to India. You'll need to provide your CIS or NVC case number as well as the petitioner's and beneficiary's full name and birthday. If it says it needs "Additional Processing", don't freak out about that. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 Petion Expiry Date Versus Visa Expiration Date	Please.... OP ignore the above... May 22nd is on the visa because that is the date that they need to enter the country by. This date is 6 mos after visa issuance The I-129F petition approval is valid for 4 month ... a visa must be issued during this validity period... once a K-1 visa is issued, it is valid for 6 mos. don't worry about the petition date as the visa has been issued +1 of what I was going to post, too. You have 90 days (exactly 90 days. not 3 months) from the day you arrive on US soil to get married as long as you are here on or before May 22nd. If you come here today (january 2nd), then you have until April 1st to get married If you come on April 25th, then you have until July 23th to get married If you come on May 22nd, then you have until August 19th to get married (used timeanddate.com for the calculations. +1 day may need to be added for the "to get married" date since I am not sure if the government considers the day you arrive as a day and I did not check to see if timeanddate.com calculates "today" as a day. i the calculation of what will the day be in 89 days considering that timeanddate.com does not calculate the "arrival date" as a day.)
