K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Help! Will my fiance NOT be able to leave the US after we marry legally??	K-1 visa is a one way one entry visa. But depending on when your fiancée enters he might get the GC within a month. I know cases of ppl close to me who got it in less then a month. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	long enough together for the petition?	Hi everyone I have read through this forum and noticed that some of you are together with your spouses for more than one year before filling in the petition. We want to send the petition till the end of May. Some might say we are crazy because we know each other for only three months now. I am a bit worried that the time we know each other is too short to send the petition. My spouse is from the US and he works in Germany until the end of August. The other thing is, how should we proof an ongoing relationship with telephone bills, letters or emails? We see each other every day so there is no need to send emails or make long telephone calls. The only proof we have is his visa for Germany, photos and a planned trip to Paris as well as my booked flight to the U.S. for a holiday trip in October. Would that be enough? Time does not matter as long as your feelings are real. As for the proof, make sure that all the pictures you take have the digital date on them from the camera since those are a much much better evidence then undated pictures. This information coming directly from the USCIS as I had issues with it myself. Other then that save all receipts, boarding passes, luggage tags and visa waver applications. Also make copies of passport stamps because those are really helpful too (no need to copy every page of passport, just the ID page and the pages with boarding stamps). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Leaving Mortgage Behind	Hello Fellow VJ-ers. I had an off the wall question I was asked about today. My fiance has his name on the mortgage of the house he lives in with his parents and brother. The mortgage is obviously being paid by the parents and partially by his brother and him (he helps as needed). My fiance has his interview next week, on August 29th and was wondering if the fact that his name is on the mortgage will affect anything. What are the procedures he needs to follow, as in remove his name from the house....and so on... If anyone has any experience or knowledge would be very helpful. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I-129F proof of ongoing relationship	So we are about to start our K1 process but we are worried that we may be lacking with proof of an ongoing relationship. We have tons of photos together and boarding passes and so on to prove we've met etc. but to prove it's ongoing is a lot more difficult. Most days we text chat on Skype and the odd time we'll E-Mail each other. So far we've included 2 full E-Mails, a screenshot of her inbox with all the E-Mails I have sent her this month, 3 screenshots showing us on a Skype call on 3 separate occasions and current duration of said calls, with the windows clock open to show time and date of the calls and finally a print of her cell phone usage which shows the number of international texts, however it doesn't show what number they were sent to, so this could be useless. Do you think this will be enough to prove an ongoing relationship? If not, what more can we do? This is what I know from experience. I was like you and included cell logs with SMS numbers, skype logs, pic ecc.... I got an RFE requesting additional evidence that we had meet in person. It specifically said not to send phone or email logs, also said pictures are not relevant unless they are dated from the camera itself. You should be set with copies of boarding passes, copies of passport pages with the customs stamps as well as the ID page of the passports. Any pictures you send make sure they have the digital date on the front. One more thing I sent was copies of luggage tags which showed last name and dates. PS: going against what I just said I would still load more evidence since it never hurts. Just make sure the above is included on the top of the evidence pile Good Luck in your journey. US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 December 2010 applications	Here is my interview experience that was not so good My interview was scheduled for April 6th at 2:00 PM and I reached there at around 1:30 PM. After a 30 minute wait my name was called by this hispanic IO and i went inside with him. he took me to his office and asked me to raise my hand and swear that I'll be telling the truth and I said "I do". As soon as he asked me sit sit down, he asked for my social security card, my passport and my driver's license. I tolf him that I forgot to bring my SS Card but I have all other documents. He just took other documents and immediately asked me if my wife accompanied me for the interview and I replied "No". He said that as my citizenship is based on marriage to a US citizen, she has to be present before he can approve. I politely told him that none of the interview letters or any USCIS documents I received indicated that I was supposed to bring my spouse for the interview but I told him that I can call my wife and she can be in his office in 15 minutes. He said that he will schedule an interview with her at a later date. I brought along all my original documents that I submitted with the N400 application but he did not care for them. He just took photocopies of my Passport, my wife's passport, my drivers permit and my green card. He went over the whole application and asked me answers of all the questions like if I was ever arrested, if i was a member of a communist party (all those 50 some questions) and then he asked my profession and I told him that I was a business consultant. As I work on brief projects with Fortune 500 clients, I have moved a lot within US since I started working here. He asked me why I moved so much and I said that I work as a contractor and I move as I get new projects. He then asked me read and write " Who was the first president of United States". I read and wrote the answer correctly. He then asked me 6 questions for which I didn't even take a breath to respond then correctly. He asked me what my wife did professionally and I replied that she is a full time student. He asked my how old my sone was and I said he was 3 about to turn 4. He then asked me if I was interview in person along with my spouse for my green card and I replied "yes". he then asked me if my wife can can be available for the interview on April 8th at 8:30 AM and I said that she has her classes and if he could schedule for 2:00 PM which he did. He asked me to bring my SS card and documents that supported our marriage. As I work downtown St Louis, I asked my wife to show up at the USCIS office at 1:30 PM and I'll meet her there. April 8th 1:30 PM our family (including my son) was there in the office waiting for this IO. He peeped out of the door and saw us sitting outside at around 1:45 and then came out at 2:05 and called just my wife's name. He said that he has to interview only here for now and took my wife inside. I was waited along with my son outside for like 20 minutes and then he came out and called us too. He asked me to raise my hand and swear which I did. He asked me when I moved to St Louis and I told him the date. That was the only question he asked and then he said that I was approved and I would receive an oath letter in the next 30 days. I asked him if he needed my SS card and the documents as a proof of our continuing marriage and he said he just wants the tax transcripts which I gave him. He did not give me any document of approval and we finally came out. I asked my wife what all questions he asked and she said that he probably asked everything about me and some questions where my wife felt harassed.Here are some of the questions that I remember now 1) Do you feel he has married you for a US citizenship? 2) How did you meet him? 3) If anytime you feel that he has married you for a US citizenship, call me. 4) Why is your drivers license not yet transferred to this state? (because we move for projects and this is our temporary residence) 5) Is this boy his or from someone else? He asked a lot more questions which my wife does not remember but she felt offended. I was really disgusted with this experience and just couldn't do or say anything because I know if I gave him any opportunity to deny my application, he would have. I will wait for the oath letter and ceremony and then I'm planning to file a complaint against this officer. I have a very clean record and I am a good person with strong character. To me it feels like I have been racially profiled (I'm Asian Indian muslim) and in a way not so much excited to be an American anymore.	vidafareed	Male	India	2011-04-09 07:31:00

National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Can the beneficiary call the NVC to see if the case is received?	I just got off the phone with them and they still don't have ours .. it will be a month on Sunday since we received our NOA 2! I called USCIS to see why they haven't sent it yet and they said they put in a request to the person who approved our petition and they will reply to me no later than July 4!! I think I ran out on patience in the beginning of May I wonder how you got somebody to even say that, even more amazed if they actually will do something. Last time I called USCIS (and a month has elapsed since my NOA2) they told me they will not do anything about it unless it has been 90 days since approval day Please tell me your secret. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Can the beneficiary call the NVC to see if the case is received?	I've been looking back through K-1 applications that have received NoA2s It looks like there are a considerable amount of people who are still waiting from mid-may to have their petitions either a) delivered to NVC or b) released from NVC. So there are one of two options here. There is an intense amount of people waiting to hear from NVC or people have stopped updating their timelines. If it's the latter, I'm none too impressed. I could not have said it better myself. I got my NOA2 on May 16th and no word from NVC . On day 15 (business of course) they advised me to send in an email with a copy of my NOA2 and they will call USCIS and research for me. Nothing so far. I keep on calling (currently on hold wiht them) and I get the same answer again. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	NVC Now advising to wait 20 business days	This blog describes my passed month. At 15 business days NVC told me to send the scanned copy e-mail to research... When I called USCIS they told me to allow 90 days. I got a courtesy response from NVC in about two days and almost two weeks later I get an e-mail saying NVC is still researching for your case and to allow another 35 to 40 days.
