Ok next question Hepetitis is a series vaccination meaning you have to have one and then a month or so later you have to have a second I if I remember right a third a month after that. Can one enter without all the series or will she have to wait?

I guess I should ask what vaccinationsare they going to want to see for her entry. I understand that childeren have to have them and that some are age specific but what is immigration going to ask for for her entry

Here is a ist of vaccinations from the VJ list.

Is this required for every one immigrating to the USA or is it more country specific? IE.... not all of them for certain countries

That is alot of vaccinations.

Here is the general list of vaccinations, get it done by your family physician, if possible, before going to Consulate approved physician to cut the cost.

Waldo what documents are you refering to? It is much cheapr to have them translated in Lima. You still going there soon? Also there is a translator here in spokane on 2nd or 3 st, but they cost a bit.

You can translate them your self but they are supposed to follow a certain format. I have some translations you can look at and do it exactly like that. I even have the same documents all you have to do is change the personal info. I am on it if you are interested. We have the same thing just different names
conquestMalePeru2009-04-17 20:44:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhats the correct address
Waldo here is the address and other info:

If you are unable to pay online you must pay by cashier’s check or money order:

You will need the Fee Bill(s) provided to you by the NVC bearing the applicant's case number and bar code. Note: If you have misplaced your fee bill, please contact the NVC. DO NOT send a fee payment without the fee bill.
Place the Fee Bill(s) along with a cashier's check or money order made payable to the Department of State in an envelope addressed to the NVC.
Affidavit of Support (AOS) Payments MUST be mailed to the following address: National Visa Center
PO Box 790135
St. Louis, MO 63179-0135
NOTE: When you are combining fee payment for one payment by cashier's check or money order see Number 5 below for the mailing address.

Immigrant Visa (IV) Application Processing Fee Payments MUST be mailed to the following address: National Visa Center
PO Box 790136
St. Louis, MO 63179-0136
AOS and IV fees can be paid together. Make sure the cashier's check or money order is prepared for the total dollar amount of the fees. Again, all payments must be accompanied by the corresponding Fee Bills. Mail the combined fee payment to the following address: National Visa Center
PO Box 790136
St. Louis, MO 63179-0136
Before mailing your payment, please review the following:
The NVC cannot accept personal or attorney/firm check(s).
If you wish to send your payment via an overnight mail courier service, please note that only the U.S. Postal Service provides such delivery service to post office boxes.
Use only the addresses specified above for fee payments.
Send only the payment and fee bill to the St. Louis, MO address.
Do not send any other documents to the St. Louis, MO address.
Do not send any documents to the Portsmouth, NH address until they are requested.
Do not forget to put the correct postage on the envelope.
Write the applicant's case number in the memo section of the check.
After the check/money order has been cashed, the NVC will mail you instructions for completing the next step in the immigrant visa process.
Note: If it is the applicant's intention to adjust status with Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), please contact the National Visa Center before taking further action or making any payment.

How is every thing goinging so far?

Corinne,

Good luck Corrine, so you finally made it.

My wife was sent a paper that said we have to pay also . I think that if you have paid as we have it is just a generic letter that covers NVC fillers and DCF filers. I called NVC, I asked on VJ and I asked people that have already been through thier interview every one says the same. If you have paid at the NVC level you are good to go, although that is what the NVC told me, but they also said that I should go with the $400 just in case but that they didnt think I needed it.

I just got the IV bill on my email and I paid it yesterday. The problem is that My Wife just got packet 3 in the mail and the Visa apointment is on the 23rd of this month. The case is not complete yet so does she just go to the apointment or call to reschedule for a later date?

Sounds to me that some thing is messed up. I didnt think they gave an interview date untill you sent in the DS-230. Did you send in the DS-230 before you paid for it? If so I am sure it its completed or like I said some thing is messed up

If you have the ability to pay the IV bill that means that the DS3032 was accepted. I think that the NVC communication line is a little faulty. The notification process lags way behind the actual processing. If you all keep looking on the site to make the payments you will see that you can pay before you are notified of it.

If its available pay it it has been accepted they just havent told you yet.

Waldo did you email it or snail mail it? you dont have to wait but if you emailed it and didnt get a confirmation email back it didnt go through. It does take about 2 weeks for it to be processed.

You might call and talk to an operator although it wont be entered you can call and they will tell you if it has been recieved. You have to talk to a supervisor to get that information a regular operator wont give it to you.

As soon as you are able to print off the cover sheet for the DS-230 after paying for it you can send in the DS-230 . All you need is the cover sheet to send in with the aplication. My DS- 230 is already completed and I have not recieved a hard copy. I think if you email the DS3032 you dont get a hard copy confirmation of the DS-230 but I may be wrong. I have not revieved one any way

Hi...and welcome to Visa Journey...

Here is a faster way to make an interview appointment with the U.S. Embassy Manila (USEM):

> Call the NVC and get your MNL case number, and ask the NVC if your case has been sent to the USEM.

> A few days after your case arrives at the USEM, start calling them to see if they have entered your case into their system.

> When your case has been entered into their system, you can schedule an interview appointment with them.

> When you have scheduled an interview appointment, the USEM will email you a confirmation of your interview appointment.

> You can have your medical at your convenience...about one or two weeks before your interview. You do not need an appointment for your medical. All you need to do is to bring your USEM appointment confirmation email and your ID.

Good luck for a speedy visa!

I have found that the supervisors are much more friendly and more helpful if you can get to talk to one of them you will get farther in what you need.

I also know they can strech the rules as we were having problems emailing our DS-3032. The supervisor had entered it over the phone for me the petitioner so if you realy need some thing try and talk to a supervisor as the operators only give out canned responses.

I think some times the operators are just lazy and dont want to look any thing up . Maybe that is why they are just operators

Dont use the government site to email the DS3032. At least in my case I found it not to work and I lost more than 2 weeks time before I found that little fact out.
Use the form from ling-che's shortcuts. Cut and paste it to your email edit it from there and send from the beneficiaries email address.

i was having trouble with some things from the NVC. So when I called them I asked directly for a supervisor. The supervisor halped me with every thing and got my problems solved and did it personally for me and every thing was fixed. It messed around with the normal operator for almost a month and didnt get any where with them. I called a supervisor and it was fixed immediately.

If you want a case # talk to a supervisor and explain to them thati ts has been way too long and that it should have been done by now. It worked for me any way.

go to the top of the page click on immigration time lines. enter your data IE... K1, K3, CR1 and the form you are working from and it will give you the list you need . If you havent filled out your own time line it wont be any good to you. So if you havent take time to fill out your time line I believe that is there too.

So we should get a Washington group together I am all for that

What I learned from this whole process is that you only need the things they asked for. If you have affidavits, and a marriage certificate, and a few fotos you dont need any more than that. ( other than the other forms and info they are asking for)

They dont like a pile of things to go through. It only slows them down. I had some things translated to spanish because I wasnt sure so I went ahead and did it any way. Well the interview person complained the entire time about such a big stack of tings to go through and that we didnt need all that stuff.

When we went to the interiew we had translated all our docs just to be safe. Several times the inteviewer made coments about translating docs we didnt need to and that it only made the pile bigger. If they are in spanish you dont need to translate them.

But if you think you need to feel safer go ahead and have them translated but you could save your self some money.

I filled out the form by computer then printed it and the emaild it to my wife. She then signed it and snail mailed it back to me I would suggest that she use her name when she signs . I have never heard of that and my wife is from peru but then things are different in many places over there. ( lots of different cultures). I just think to avoid future problems that it would be best. now that I think about it she should use what ever she put on her passport that is what they check

If it is a norm of the culture it probably wont be questioned. I do know that my wife uses a fancy form for her signiture because she says she doesnt want any one copying it. That must be a problem over there.

+1

Just wite down what she does for work. My wife was self employed but didnt have a valid business licence. She was paid in cash and couldnt prove any thing but they didnt ask either. They wont be looking for how much she was making . I dont even think they care. For all practical purposes she will be unemployed when she gets to the USA.. What they are really looking for is " was hse a secretary to osama bin ladin" or some other type of negative employment. maybe a farc leader who knows.

I am sure that is not the case so just write it down

You cant file for a K-3 or CR-1 until you are married then you will have the marrage certificate lots of fotos also when you are there get 2 affidavits atteseting to your marrage that is signed and stamped by a notary.

No need to have co mingled any thing. You will need marrage cert, fotos, affidavits. Keep every thing air line stubs showing that you were in peru. Recipts and so on. By the way a CR-1 is a much better way to go in my opinion.

IMPORTANT!
Make TWO copies of the entire package before you send it in. This includes the money orders too. You want to have a perfect replica of the package you are sending in. All Forms that you submit must be originals with original signatures. Supporting Evidence that you submit may be photocopies. Retain ALL original supporting Evidence since the USCIS has the right to check them by issuing an RFE (Request For Evidence). If you receive an RFE, follow the direction exactly, and make two copies of what you sent back. During any future interviews the USCIS may also want to examine the original supporting evidence.

I think it is to avoid this very thing. If you had done this you wouldnt have to wait and as soon as you had found out you could have resent it. So nextime before you send it out make copies of every thing so you dont have to deal with tis any more. This goes for every thing you do in this procees from here on out . COPY EVERY THING!!!

Will be biggest problem if your case gets lost. How would you replace it?

Also alot of the info is needed on other forms and its alot faster if you have it readily available.

Also it would be best if you could take a copy of every thing with you to the interview in case some thing was miss placed and they dont have what they need.

If you dont have it, you dont have it, I dont think there is alot to worry about mostly the copies are for back ups as an exact replacement of what you would need if it was lost.
