Sorry , kind of off the subject, but can someone please tell me what "IGOR's list" is?? I see this term frequently and I always feel.... unsure.gif
Thanks!

igor's list is a compilation of vj members and their progress.

http://www.visajourn...filers.php?cfl=

here's the link. to find it in the future...look at the top blue bar of vj and you'll see 'immigration timelines.' click that and you'll find 'igor's list.' good luck!

Hey thanks!! And sorry to the OP for pirating their post blush.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F Approved, but says 4th approval noted???!!!
Hi all,

I received a I-797, approval of my I-129f petition in the mail today after 100 days since I mail it. It reads: "The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate." (cambodia). BUT, goes on to say: "It has been noted this is your fourth approved I-129f petition"...............WHAT?? I have only ever sent one I-129f or any other petition for immigration in my life. The first one was hard enough....if I had done 4, I would be crazy by now!

Anyway, I called USCIS customer service and the lady was nice , but stated that she did not have more information as to why this said this. She suggested that I go online and schedule an INFO PASS appointment with my local USCIS office to try to further understand this. The local office is in Charlotte NC , about an hour away.

My question to anyone is: has anyone else run into this problem? Is it a problem? I just dont want this to hurt my case with the Cambodia consulate at interview time. thanks for the time guys~

Ummm......not to sound like a "junior" member, but unsure.gif
There are SO many acronyms used here that sometimes I feel like I am reading a foreign language!! wacko.gif
I have looked up many of them in the index of terms here, but so many still elude me! Is there a list of more acronyms anywhere that I can learn from? This site is incredible, I just want to learn as much as I can so I don't miss anything!
Thanks to anyone who can help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresissues with having a fiancee from a latin american country??

income I can deal with...I can have my mom help to co sponsor, but marriage soon after first face to face? You think that will really pose an issue? You think I have to wait longer to start the process, or you think I need to go visit again?? She is from Colombia, thats a big issue...is not exactly the safest for us gringos haha. Any suggestions on that? We are trying to do this right away because well, we are in love...we talked for about 10 months before this first face to face and then spent 16 days together in peru, and now want to be together for good. We just want to go about it the right way...any help is appreciated

As long as you have a co-sponsor you should be fine. For meeting only once, there are tons of couples that do that - just make sure you have a lot of proof of relationship.
And don't worry about the fact that your fiance is from Colombia. The MENA girls go through worse!

Hey, the "meeting only once" thing is just fine! My fiancee is not from a hispanic country, but from Cambodia. Either way , we only met one time in Cambodia and our petition was recently approved! As stated above, just make sure you have LOTS of proof and all should be fine.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiance/ee letter of intent
We used the VJ sample and our visa petition and application were approved with no problem. It only needs to be a simple statement about your intent. The other details will have their own time to be presented on later papers. Also , both me an my fiancee needed to sign 2 seperate letters of intent.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter of intent, whos address should be on it??
QUOTE (apeters @ Feb 19 2009, 10:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I was reading the guides on VJ and it was showing the petitioner/beneficiary address on top with the USCIS address. Should this be the case even on my fiancee's letter of intent?? I know I will put my address on my letter of intent to marry, but should she put her address on the top or should she put mine??? I was thinking she should put hers on her letter of intent, but now im a bit confused after seeing the example. Any help? biggrin.gif

Put her current information as she is not yet in the US with you yet.

well...how do you preserve the whole convo?? it seems that you can only print that little part of the combo that u did the print screen for, right???

Ohh I dont think they care about what you talked about and dont need to see the entire conversation... but the logs will show a time, date and by selecting several to print it will show that your contact has been consistant...

Thank is correct. I had about 6 months of conversations on Yahoo and I could only print the first page of each. This seemed to work fine and at least showed that we chatted almost everyday.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDo I need to worry?
QUOTE (trr333tx @ Feb 20 2009, 01:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I have seen that most people have "touch" with a date listed on their K-1 application timeline. I assume that they get this info from the online USCIS status at the USCIS website. However, for me it only says "Current Status: Case received and pending." I mailed my K-1 application in on December 2, 2008 and received the NOA1 letter on December 9, 2008. So they have had my application for about 2 months and 3 weeks.

Am I looking in the wrong place for the "touch" info or have they just not looked at my file? Should I worry about this?

Thank you.

Don't worry about the "touched" part. I never had a "touch" during the whole process, at least not one that they updated on my USCIS page. Our visa was approved 2 weeks ago. Everything will be fine! good.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter from bank for I134?
QUOTE (John24689 @ Mar 15 2009, 11:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Necessary vs not necessary. I sent my letter from the bank. It they want it, they have it. If they don't want it, they have it anyhow. I had rather send too much than not enough and get a RFE. To each their own. This is a long and expensive process and I believe in furnishing what they want, what I think they want, what I want to send that is not mentioned. So far, so good in this process. I know their are ones who send less and get approved. I am happy for them. One never knows who will review their case, which side of the bed they got up on, good mood or bad mood, which instructions they are following, etc. The choice is yours, but I would send the bank information. Good luck on your journey.

Well said!! good.gif There are too many here trying to take short cuts and the easy way with too little work. Do the work, give them more than they need and get these crazy processes behind you so you can live with your fiancee!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisiting within last two years...is 1 time sufficient?
I only visted my Cambodian fiancee 1 time and for only a week before starting the K-1 Petition. It's been approved. I am sure Cambodia is a high risk visa country. Although, before sending anything, I spent a lot of time reading forums on VJ and asking questions. We managed to amass a large amount of "proof" during my visit and in the times we were apart. Preparation is EVERYTHING!

Hi.....i need your advice friends in here.... or im about curious about the K-1 visa

some friends told me it wont trace up my side coz it just trace up for there own each profile of the men, is it true?

please help me .........or do send me a private message
thank you
hope i can hear alots of opinion or advices
clyn

omg get that flag off your profile. how embarrassing! mad.gif

OMG, this is why filipinas have a bad rep.... don't even think about sending another petition!! withdraw your existing petition so the genuine couples that applied after you can be 1 step closer to being with there fiances...

sad.gif

I'm not saying all filos are like this twisted person, im a filo, but i came to Oz when i was 1 so i consider myself a full aussie... but when I went back to the philippines for a holiday, with my aussie bf at the time, nearly every girl I spoke to would ask where I got the "white guy" from and if i could get them one too.... it was so disrespectful, frustrating and extreamly embarassing....

My fiance now, his mother told him to stay away from filipino girls coz theyre bad... lol
when he told his mum that he wanted to marry me, he had to explain that i grew up in Australia so im not just marrying him to get to the US... lol

its pretty sad how filipino girls are portrayed....

Yes, I do agree with you. Its very sad for ANY culture to be portrayed this way, but the fact is that many of every culture do this and its unfortunate. It makes it much harder for us honest people. My fiancee is not filo, but Cambodian and I have heard of this in other cultures too. I guess as long as there are visas to be had......there will be some dishonest people who will take advantage of things. It's great that we have a forum here at VJ that can see through all the BS and give these types of people a really hard time! innocent.gif
